DId not know this shoe was a steel toe until it was delivered. It needs to be marked more clearly without reading the description.

I believe are steeled toe, and therefore very heavy up front. The laces can't be tied, and are held in place by a plastic slide clip. They were very uncomfortable to wear and my toes kept hitting the top of the shoe.

Ok work shoe. Not as light as I was hoping for. I'll be looking to replace this after less than a year of use.

My dad is a huge fan of Keen's outdoor stuff and when I switched jobs from rig work to being in a shop, I was excited to see that Keen offered a safety shoe. I'm glad to no longer have to wear big, hot, heavy work boots. Well, too bad for me that shoes nowadays to streamline their silhouette are tapering shoes near the big toe. This shoe has a big loose body and a cramped toe box. Unfortunate, because other than that I found the shoe to be light and flexible.

This is a good shoe, but I would recommend a standard leather boot instead. This design leaves all the weight on the steel toe, while a heavier boot has a better weight distribution and may be more comfortable overall.

I wish Keen would offer a non waterproof version, any water proofing or water resistant shoe never breathes as well as non water proof as is the case with these. For my feet these are very hot. I use these indoors only in a industrial work place. In 80F indoor temps sitting at a desk a good portion of the time these get very hot for me. Maybe walking outdoors in high winds would keep these "cool." Very good arch support and great walking and standing support. Great wide toe box and no pressure points whatsoever.

I ordered a size 7 mens, and it was more like a 7.5 or even an 8. I expected an EE(wide), and it was actually quite narrow.

I've worn this shoe for nearly 12 months on a concrete floor in an industrial manufacturing plant. Lots of walking for maintenance work. I like minimalist shoes outside of work, so these have a little too much arch support and heel for me. Overall they are okay but not nearly as comfortable as I would have liked. I do like the wider width. I am retiring them now as the eye loops for the laces are breaking on both shoes. The design could be better. This time around I'm trying the Keen Albany.

They weren't bad at first, but about 6 months later they just got really uncomfortable. I've since replaced the insoles but that really didn't help. I wear these to work everyday, so I'm standing and/or walking in them 6-7 hours(sometimes more) a day 5-6 days a week. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations under those conditions, but I expected more than 6 months use out of them.

Of all my work shoes these are the ones I dread wearing the most. I know have planters fasciitis and these shoes seem to make the pain worse. These shoes just ain’t for me

I am really annoyed at how loose these get so quickly. I thought with a brand with as big of a name as Keen that they would have mastered these places and that is just not true. The place system is rubbish! Definitely not worth it! Don't buy them!

The lacing system uses a spring loaded fastener that is not effective at keeping laces tight. I never felt like my shoes were secured to my feet. It would loosen on both shoes after a couple of steps. I am surprised that this system continues to be used. I can't be the only one with this experience. Also keep in mind like most steel toed shoes, they are really heavy and can fatigue feet that do a long of walking. They are a great looking pair of shoes but I wouldn't recommend them if you're looking for shoes for work.

The size 10 EE Atlanta Cools I bought are a half-inch longer than any other Keen 10s I own and the arch support is faint. How hard could it have been for Keen to just keep making the original great Targhees?

Massive arch. Unless your foot is shaped like a banana I'm not sure how you're supposed to fit into it. Laces are some kind of zip tie thing that's embarrassing to look at.

I have been wearing the shoes for 1.5 month and I don't like them. The insoles are so thin and have no cushioning. I had to put the insoles from my old Nike until I bought new insoles. I don't know. I have never wore a steel toe shoe but these are not comfortable. Your foot slides forward and my feet are wet at the end of a 10 hour day. I will never buy another pair.

These Keens fit well and were very comfortable. But that's where the pros end. Just under a year of wearing these shoes, the rubber treads started separating from the sole. And after a year one of the shoelace loops broke. The lace cinches are a good idea, but they never kept my laces tight. I was always re-cinching the laces before finally taking them off and tossing them. These were the first pair of Keens I've ever owned and they will be my last!

This will be the second time I have to return these shoes for the tread separating from the bottom of the shoe. Although I like these shoes for my work, they just don't hold up. It's only been 7 months. For $129.00 they should last much longer!

Width was notably narrower than every other pair of Keens I've owned, thus a no-go.

Love Keens and love these but they have a fatal flaw. The rope that allows you to tighten/loosen the shoe had its outer sheathing break and now it is impossible to tighten. I've worn these shoes a lot since I got them 7 months ago, the tread shows almost no wear, the stitching on the shoes look great, but if I can't secure them, what good is it?

I was very disappointed in theses shoes. They were pricey, but were comfortable. However after two months of wear, the heel and sole on the bottom wore out. Also if you work outside in colder climates your feet will be cold. I work outside on concrete and these shoes did not measure up, no traction on slightly wet surfaces. Would not recommend thses for outside on concrete surfaces.
