I am an automotive mechanic and these boots are very comfortable. The downside is the laces broke after about 3 months, the rubber sole is coming off of the bottom after about 5 months and the slip resistant sole is not as good as other boots I have owned. I have owned 2 other Keen boots and these are on par with the other two for comfort but fall short in every other way when comparing them.

Not to impressed with this boot. The sole is hard and not to flexible (but does have good traction), the tongue design is not that great felt like it should be a little taller and maybe just redesigned, it's kind of uncomfortable. Different strings should be used as without double knotting they come loose easily. Also the last string catch is too high and wants to pull over the tongue. Wouldn't purchase another pair.

These are not the worst boots that I have ever owned, but they are not the best, either. The soles are overly spongy, and do not provide enough support, likely due to the voids in the lugs, which have revealed themselves as the sole has worn down. These boots are also not overly comfortable for a lot of walking, which was surprising. If you like the look, and just wear these around on the weekend, they will serve you well, but if you are on your feet a lot, look elsewhere.

I had to write this review to counter the glowing reviews that led me to get this shoe. I bought them to wear every day at work as I'm on my feet all day long. The soles are great and the support is excellent - though they took a while to break in. But, after 5 months the shoe lace straps are breaking. At $140, I expected they would last longer than this.

This is a great hiker for the weekends. After wearing these boots for less than six months the soles fell apart. I have to admit that I am extremely hard on my boots. I still love keen footwear, so I just purchased two new pairs of keens. To anyone like me, just spend the extra money and get a pair of keen Erickson PCT or the keen Pittsburgh steel toe. The soles of these boots are the best that keen makes, hands down.

I bought these boots and they are very uncomfortable. I wore then twice and they look like crap already. I will never buy keen boots again, sorry.

Bought theses shoes due to good reviews and ordered extra wide. The box was labeled extra wide but unfortunately the shoes were not! This was my first shoe buying experience with zappos...doubt if I'll return!

Really disappointed with this shoe. I bought them in August 2014, and they have shrunk and stiffened up beyond wearability. My foot fatigue is now unbearable because the shoe is so disfigured. These shoes were worn every day, often in wet situations (tall grass, boat decks, crossing small streams, washing gear) so I think the whatever the internal support plastic is, this has warped. If you were to look at the shoes, they are wearing on the outside very well: the sole and tread are in great shape, the outside stitching/gluing is strong (and I am on my knees a lot), so that is why I am most bummed. The construction seems good, but whatever the shell is, it can't handle the wet. Kind of wondering if I still have a warranty, because 5 months is not very long. I was hiking with my wife just last week, and she wears Keens (different style), and doesn't like hers either because they have stiffened and never really broke in!

These boots lasted about 2 weeks before they ripped at the seam connecting it to the sole by the toe of the boot. Zappos sent me another pair same thing happened. They have probably run into a problem with the manufacturing process in this latest batch of boots. Buyer beware. Great customer service from Zappos.

These shoes have potential, but based on my experience I am obligated to give a low rating which I will update after trying another pair. I had my shoes for about a week before using them on my first mini hike (about 3 miles). They felt great with no pressure points or slipping whatsoever. Half way through the hike I noticed that one felt suddenly loose even though my laces were tight - I ignored that until I got home and then noticed that one eyelet had come off. I don't know if this is a design flaw or just an anomaly, but I will report back if able to replace on Zappos.

Fit was great, style and comfort was tops, but I ordered these for work in a commercial kitchen. These are advertised as oil & slip resistant, but I was slipping and sliding all over the place. I guess I'll be going back to the Keen PTC Oxfords that I previously had.
