I love these boots! I am a woman with size 11 feet, unable to find boots that fit me, but I bought these boots years ago and they're in their fourth UP (Michigan) winter, and they're awesome.

I work outside on the snowy, slushy streets and edges of the streets, and the more it snows, the fewer days off I get. I really like these boots for their comfort, predicted durability (been wearing them for about four weeks now), "waterproof-ness" with breathability, and good looks. They're not insulated, but are plenty warm enough for me, even to -20 F. While they still seem to have the Keen wide toe are and protected toe, they're not big and bulky, so every sort of ice creeper thing I've tried has fit on very easily - definitely a big plus! The only thing I don't really like about them is the sole, at least for winter, snowy, work. It might be a bit stiff, and the tread does hold onto the snow, meaning I must bang my boots against my vehicle each time I get in to remove much of the snow from the tread. I consider it a very minor problem, as I would do that anyway, and other than that, I love these boots!

Great fit from day one, didn't need to break them in, an awesome rugged shoe. The shipping speed was amazing, I placed the order on Friday during my lunch break and received my items on Monday before I returned home from work!

One of the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. They felt like a slipper right out of the box. The first time I wore them was for a 16 hour shift, outdoors and they felt like a boot that had already been broken in, not stiff good arch support. They have great traction and mobility and the waterproof is an added benefit. I have been wearing them now for about month and they are holding up well. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.

Great work boot and comfortable and supportive with plenty of room in the toe box. It's hard to find good boots in wide widths and the Keen utility line has filled that need. I use orthotics, so can't comment too much on the included insole, but the boot has plenty of room oft the orthotic.

Second pair of Keen shoes I have owned. I got these for work. I work 12+ hours as a paramedic in the Midwest and wanted comfort with feel of shoes and look of boots and waterproof. They felt great out of the box. Feel a little wider than other Keen shoes I own. Overall a good boot. The locking lace system is cool. I have been wearing Bates boots now. These feel way better and about the same weight. I will buy Keen from here on out. Zappos is great as usual

Could barely wait to get these on, but got my normal Keen size and they were a tad too big. Got the 1/2 size smaller the next day and have worn them every day since! They feel great! Service was, as usual from Zappos, outstanding! This is about my 8th or 9th pair of Keen's from Zappos in the past few years, and I'll continue to shop here for many years to come!

Perfect! Comfortable right out of the box. Hiked all over Sedona for a week. Great support. My feet feel very secure in them. Highly recommend!

These boots are terrific. They're 100% waterproof, and extremely comfortable. I wore them all day long and my feet feel great.

I am a woman who ordered these boots in men's EE in search of comfortable boots that would fit my wide feet. I tried on numerous hiking boots at stores in both women's and men's styles, and then resorted to ordering 8 pairs online to try to find a pair of boots for hiking that were comfortable. This pair was the clear winner. The wide toe box is definitely the key in these boots. Keen is a far and away winner for having that toe box. I'm pretty sure these are actually the most comfortable shoes I have -- if they weren't so warm I would probably wear them all the time! They have been excellent for the beginner-mid level hikes I have done over the last year. Great treads, extremely sturdy. And they are actually wide enough to not hobble me. If you are a woman with feet that are wide in the toe area, these are the boots that will fit. I think I might get another pair just in case they stop making these.

I've had these shoes for about 2 months now and they are great. I'm a FedEx courier so they get a good workout every day is variable terrains. These are the first shoes I've ever used that were comfortable from Day One. The shoe lacing system is excellent in allowing a comfortable stabilizing adjustment. Also, Zappos' site, product presentation/information, tools to ensure proper fit and product delivery is excellent.

I have had these boots for about a month now and can already tell they will be a all time favorite. The lacing system has a feature that locks the laces in at the top of the boot, which is a great feature I have seen nowhere else. The boots have plenty of support, are waterproof and breathable. The added protection at the toe has already proven to be useful. Zappos continues to be A+ in service and speed.

The older I get the worse off my feet are. Wearing Keens has given me comfort I haven't found in other shoes or boots. These Utility Detroit boots are great for the weather here in Alaska since they are waterproof. The room in the toe area is wider than most footwear and the tread is especially effective in snow and on trails. Zappos.com was a pleasure to work with as an online store.

These boots are great, I have had Keens before that's why I ordered these. They fit good and are waterproof, unlike other boots. if you put some snow seal on them will make them even more waterproof.

I love these boots. I had a severe foot and ankle injury and these boots feel great and offer plenty of support. I wear them to work, hiking and for workouts. I also get lots of compliments on the way they look. I've just ordered my third pair.

I love these Keen boots! They give perfect support, keep my feet from slipping on wet surfaces and they fit just right.

I had to exchange a pair of different shoes, and I found these as they were almost the same as my Black Comb which they no longer make. But these, I believe, will be the same only with out all the thin insulation. If they would make the Black Comb again I would order three pairs right now. Thanks, Zappos. I always order my Keens half a size larger and they fit like a glove.

Overall very comfortable boots. The tread has worn down significantly in only three months of use, more than any other Keen or Keen Utility boot I have had in the past. Rest of boot is holding up very well.

Zappos is an excellent company to deal with. Had these shoes for close to a year and the heel and sole started to come off. No questions asked, A new pair were shipped . before I shipped back the defective ones. I AM IMPRESSED !!

The shoe I ordered comes in at what I would call a true 14.5 wide. The only thing I don't like is that the shoe doesn't breathe all that well. I bought it for comfort while standing for extended periods of time, and so far, it seems pretty good for that, but probably because it's waterproof, my feet get warm in it from not getting to breathe much. With wool socks, it's not so bad. With cotton socks, it can be a bit of a hassle. Mostly my fault for not thinking deeply about what it might mean for something to be "waterproof". But I bet they probably are truly waterproof if it comes down to it. I just don't need waterproofness for my purpose of buying the shoes. Make your own decision.

At first boot felt on the narrow side in the toe box. I tried the W version which was too much. Went back to the D and wore thin socks until broken in (1 week). Now the boots are feeling great. On warm days they get a little hot from the synthetic upper, cotton socks help. I had recently tried the Timberland Pro 4" which were incredibly heavy, the Keens are light weight but sturdy. Good maintenance or electrician's boot, especially if you're on ladders a lot.

The Keen-style rounded toe isn't for everyone, but it seems to help in one regard to me: it makes it less boat-like. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen a shoe and usually a dress shoe that looked great on display, but once I got it in a 12 it looked like a clown shoe. Those display ones are almost always a size 9 or 10. *grumble* The rounded, cap toe on Keen's somehow visibly make the shoe less ski-like to me which is a big plus. On an unrelated note, I'm not a fan of the laces on this boot. They seem to untie fairly easily unless you ensure you tie them very, very tightly at the start. Also, I've had top-most portion of the lace occasionally slip all the way over the tongue (still tied). The little clips flanking the boots appear to require a thin lace, else it won't fit inside the clips, so changing to another lace might be difficult.

I have had these shoes for a few months and like them a lot. I work outside a lot and get them wet a lot. They are holding up really well. Took about 10 days to break in. I got the extra wide ones because I have really flat feet. Probably could have gotten away without but the extra wide ones are nice and wide. Would get them again.

I bought these because I was wearing Keen mid-rise hiking boots on the job. Thought that these might be better able to stand up to my daily work routine. They fit the same as the hikers, but the materials used are stiffer than those used in the Keen hiking boots. The soles are made of a plastic material that is loud on the floors as I walk, whereas the hikers were rubber and very quiet on hard surfaces.

Nice and comfortable. I use them for work where I walk a lot so I'm hard on shoes in general but these boots so far are the best I've had but it's only been a week. They do run big but I compensate by wearing a thick sock and the lacing system allows for a nice fit. If you are not as demanding on a shoe as I am, these will last you a long time.
