Ordered both the 8 and 8.5 and found I liked the smaller size better. Great for lifting and using cardio machines such as elliptical. Not a lot of cushion between my foot and the floor, so I wouldn't recommend them for high impact activities. Very cute shoes, though!

I love, love, love these shoes! I'm a step aerobics instructor and they are the best shoes I've worn for my classes and other aerobics classes I participate in. They're very comfortable (I have wide feet) and they offer solid lateral support for those types of moves. I have definitely recommended these shoes to the ladies who take my classes and I hope New Balance continues to produce shoes of this type!!!

This shoe saved my feet! I was wearing regular NB running shoes while doing an intense P90X workout regimen. Big mistake because it caused a lot of foot pain in my right foot. A friend told me about these shoes and no more foot pain. They are perfect for P90X and cardio workouts.They also offer great stability through Plyometrics which is high impact jump training. Can't wait to see how they hold up to Insanity. ;-)

I bought these shoes because I needed shoes for Zumba! My friend got them at the store and liked them so I searched Zappos and found them at a cheaper price! Zappos provided quick, free shipping! I love the shoes, too!

When I first tried these shoes on and wore them around the house I was not that impressed. Then I wore them to boot camp. I've been wearing them for a few weeks now and they are great. I was worried that there didn't seem to be enough cushioning, but I haven't noticed a problem during workouts. The stability in these shoes is awesome. I just ordered a pair of the 871s for my husband as well, best workout shoes I've had.

These shoes are absolutely perfect. I needed a cross trainer and they are hard to find around here. A lot of the other reviewers said they ran big, so I went ahead and ordered my usual size, 7½, and I am glad that I did because they fit great. I sometimes go up to an 8 in sneakers, but these were roomy without being too large. The option for ordering a wide was wonderful, too. My feet are wide and I sometimes have difficulty with both regular and work out shoes with my toes going numb. If this is any indication of New Balance's quality, I will be wearing this brand from here on out.

My boot camp shoes! Butt ugly, but fit very well. I replaced the liner with a cushier one to help absorb some of the shock. Good width, built-in "training wheels" on the sides make it great for lateral movement. All in all a great purchase if you don't want to be fashionable!

These sneakers are very comfortable and really enable good movement during a workout.

Fantastic shoe for Zumba! I've used this shoe on both carpeted and wood floors and its great for both. I bought a 5.5 in wide width, normally I buy a 6 in athletic shoes, but New Balance seems to run a little larger, so the 5.5 in wide did the trick. They are very lightweight and provide great movement for dancing. The added stabilizer portion to the exterior of the shoe is great for me as I've noticed I tend to roll my foot to the outside when doing Zumba. Great arch and ball of foot support. Would be a good shoe for all types of gym activities.

I usually wear another model of New Balance for my aerobics class but decided to give this model a try. It is very comfortable and, since I got it in white with silver and purple trim, pretty cool looking as well.

I participate in Zumba at the gym and I have to say that these sneakers are great! Very comfortable, keeps your feet in position, and are easy to move with. My other sneakers were getting stuck with every move, these are wonderful for any Zumba fans.

I bought these sneakers for zumba and jazzercise classes. I needed a sneaker with more cushioning than most dance type sneakers offered. These work so well & cushion the ball of the foot & heel area. I ordered a second pair and alternate them. The one improvement could be if the pivot point was more effective.

At last! The search for the perfect Jazzercise shoe is over. This shoe is fantastic! Excellent lateral support for side to side movement. Pivoting on the ball of my foot is a breeze. Roomy toe box. Great scalloped laces don't come untied. I wear an 11 street shoe. The 12 in this fit perfect. Love the green! I added a Spenco Polysorb cross-trainer insole for added arch support and added cushion and my feet are as happy after class as they were before!

I really like these sneakers. I really appreciate the roominess in the toe area. When purchasing shoes I keep my doctor's advice in mind that your shoes should match the form of your feet as much as possible and these do just that! Great support and yet you feel barefoot.

Great Zumba shoe! I take a 7W and this was hard to find, but Zappos finally got this shoe back in. Great stability and nice pivoting action. This shoe is perfect for your boot camp or Zumba. Also fits my custom orthotics. I have custom orthotics due to past plantar fasciitis.

I have another pair of NB shoes a 7.5 D. They fit fine. These were way too long. I think if I could get the right size they would be very comfy. I will be interested to see if they work well for Zumba. It is really hard to find a wide shoe for Zumba.

Great shoe, very comfortable, very stylish. I have bad knees and New Balance are a necessity for me!

These are the lightest and most comfortable running sneakers I've ever owned. I have a wide front foot and they fit great.

I recently purchased these from Zappos and had to return them twice, but neither of the times was Zappos fault. When I chatted with customer service they were extremely courteous and shipped out replacements right away. The shoes themselves are very comfortable. I like the extra lip on the side for support. I do Turbo Fire so I need shoes that can support my feet through all the jumping! Overall pleased with them.

Very comfy shoes. I bought them for BOSU class and they have helped with maintaining my balance. The insoles were not supportive enough for me so I bought new ones which have helped.

These shoes are great! I am using them for Insanity workouts which have a lot of jumping and quick movements. My feet were hurting in my old shoes after a week of Insanity workouts. I've noticed a big difference since switching to these shoes and now I just have sore legs and arms not sore feet. They fit perfectly both in length and width. They feel snug but not too tight. As always, Zappos has the quickest shipping!

Best zumba shoes ever! I have been wearing these shoes for a little over a week now. I used them exclusively at home for the first week to do insanity, strength training and practice zumba choreo. Last night I had a chance to wear them to zumba class. They performed beautifully. I had been wearing the New Balance 840 trainers prior to these and they now seem stiff and inflexible. there are many things I love about these sneaks. The shoes are fabric so they are comfortable right out of the box, the toe box is nice and roomy, the soles are extremely flexible and give me just the right amount of traction not only on a wood floor but on carpet as well (they don't drag on the carpet). The arch support is adequate. I wear arch supports in all of my cross-trainers though. I am very pleased with these shoes. I may have to buy another pair to trade out when these get worn. Once again Zappos has the best customer service in all the land! Ordered these very late on a Thursday night and had them by 9 a.m. on a Monday.

Excellent shoe! I had foot surgery a few weeks ago and I need a sneaker with a wide toe box so my toes would have plenty of room. This sneaker is perfect. I ordered my regular size in a wide (D) and It doesn't squish my foot at all, also the arch is perfect. This sneaker is pretty and very comfortable and I've found it easy to walk again. If you are looking for a wide, roomy sneaker, this is a great choice. Also, Zappos has the fastest shipping out of any website I've ever shopped. I did not order express shipping but I literally received these in less than 24 hours after placing my order! I love Zappos!

Wow! It's like I wasn't wearing any shoes at all. These fit my wide foot and my high arch perfectly.
