I didn't wear them after trying them on. One shoe felt fine; the other was a little narrower. The "sides" of the shoe were too high and rested just under my ankle bone making the shoe uncomfortable to wear.

I bought the shoes because my current pair don't close so that the Velcro strap goes completely across the top of the shoe. I increased my size and width, but neither helped.

I have these shoes. They are not very comfortable for the price.
They have so much padding inside that it makes the shoe feel smaller. I had to get the next size larger.

Strap is too short. I weigh 132 pounds and I don’t have fat ankles, but the strap was not long enough to hook to the loops. Also, the tongue is bulky and so long that it cut into my ankle. Poor fit design, I feel. Returned.

I normally love NB sneakers and I got these because they're solid black and I can wear them into the office. However, I'm really disappointed with these. They are very stiff and the tongue is huge and gets in the way. The laces are also extraordinarily long. I also take a narrow width and these do not feel like the usual NB narrow, especially in the heel. The heel also feels lower than the rest of the shoe, almost like my heel is sitting in a hole. They also seem a bit short. Unfortunately, I've worn them so I can't return them. I selected Runs Large because they are too wide, but they are also a bit short.

The Velcro straps weren’t like other pair of white New Balance I’ve been wearing. I wear orthodics but that didn’t seem to be a problem for fit. These just seemed to me not the quality overall that I’ve had with New Balance.
I’ve worn New Balance for years and have loved them ! Recommended by my PEDORTHIST .

Like other reviews have noted about New Balance WW577 shoes, the straps over the instep are too short; overlap on my high insteps was about 1/8 inch. According to the size chart at New Balance I am size 8B. These were long enough, just; hitting the ball of my foot at the right place. Seem designed for feet with short toes, not my long ones. Good shape for my wider forefoot, narrow heel. Did not order/try next size up because of the skimpy straps.

The straps did not hold enough after a brief wearing. The leather seemed very stiff. Wearing them was too insecure for comfort or assured stability.

Again trying to accomodate a corn on one foot. This time the shoe was far too wide in the heel for me to walk comfortably. (Almost every other NB shoe has required me to order a wide!) Also, the shoe is weird because it felt like my heel was lower than the rest of my foot. That caused issues with my back and knees. It is becoming a job to find a shoe I can simply stand up in!

Walking is not fun in these shoes. They seem stiff and squeak when I walk. You never have size 6 wide in the black leather shoes so I tried the standard in width. They are definitely not comfortable. I also have a grey walking shoe that looks blue to me. They are very comfortable but the color is not appealing.
