shoes had velcros strap . thinking would be easier to use. not. high arches big problem that strap does not reach other side to fasten. love the fit just unable to use

I have very narrow feet and can not find men's shoes narrow enough for me. The Women's 577 in AA width are just right. They look exactly the same as the men's shoes, but fit me much better. Being 84 years old, the velcro closure makes getting my shoes on and off much easier. Wish New Balance would make more stylish men's shoes with the velcro closure and narrow widths.

I wear these every day because they are comfortable.

I have wide feet and this is the only brand that does not put my toes to sleep!

I really, really like these shoes. They are very comfortable with good support. I especially like that they come in narrow width. That's hard to find.

But no more! I have rheumatoid arthritis and hard to fit feet. I have been buying New Balance size 8, 2E wide walking shoes for over a decade. But when I ordered a new pair, of size 8, 2E wide, they were, for the first time ever, too narrow. I then tried the 2E, size 8-1/2. These were too big, but still small in the toe box. I also went through the same experience with your 813 model. They do come in 4E width, so, after the first pair were didn't fit, I re-ordered them in a size 8, 4E. These were too wide in the heel but still tight in the toe box. I am so extremely disappointed. What did you do? I have owned at least a 1/2 dozen pair of these shoes. I am currently wearing size 8 2E New Balance shoes, so please do not tell me my feet have changed. But for some inextricable reason your shoes no longer fit. I hope you can fix this!

As always, a great quality shoe that works perfectly for me and my needs.

Super comfortable shoe right off the bat....but the Velcro straps were too short to reach across the shoe, leaving the rough edges of exposed Velcro exposed on one side of the shoe. That section would both collect fuz, etc. and snag on the fabric of my clothing. So I did not buy them. But this seems like a simple fix. I would definitely buy them if this issue were fixed.

I wear these every day and have all available colors. Love the velcro over laces.

I used these shoes for neighborhood walks. 4 times a week. 3 miles. The soles lasted a few months before the heels wore off.

This is a great shoe, and we are most happy with the product! The problem was the shopping experience. The shoe showed a visual of a Velcro (hook and loop) closure. There were several color choices by clicking on a box. What I did not realize was that as I clicked a color box, some showed as a laced closure instead. In my view, the laced version and the Velcro version should have 2 separate pages. Unfortunately we had to go through the hassle of returning one when it arrived as it was not the closure we believed we had ordered.

I wear these every day when I take my two mile walks to sttrenghten the muscles in my bad knee. My doctor thinks they help.

I have problems walking due to breaking both of my feet many years ago. I work as a nurse and have been wearing New Balance sneakers since they are comfortable and fit my Orthotics without a problem, I always try to buy made in USA or at least assembled in USA because I know they are made well and I am supporting American workers. I have no problems with these sneakers at all.

The shoe was comfortable but the strap was to short. I have a high instep so it didn't work for me.

These shoes used to have a raised back, shoe laces and extra eyelets, I have bought at least 6 pairs like that. Unfortunately, they now come only with low backs and velcro closings so they slip all the time.

I need a solid walking shoe to support my feet. These shoes provide the support I need with the comfort I love.

I have bought and worn this New Balance shoe for several years, because it is the only one that has helped me with my knee issues. I also don't live near a NB store, so I order them online. This time, when I received my shoes, I found they squeaked.and after wearing them for a few days, I realized the squeak would not go away. I then looked into returning them, but found I could not because in order to do so, they have to be "new," and I, like I said, have worn them for a few days. Now, everywhere I go when I wear them, everyone will know my New Balance shoes squeak.
