These are very comfortable. They did not need a breaking in period. I got them for the gym, walking the treadmill. They are not very stylish but are easy to get on and off and have a wide toe box. They are very good shoe for these old feet. The Velcro straps are a big plus.

I bought these for my mom, 97 years young. She needed a shoe in a wide width. This sneaker was perfect, and the Velcro makes for an easy on and off. Also, New Balance is MADE IN THE USA.

I have had foot surgeries and the only shoes that are comfortable for me are New Balance shoes. I wear a size 11 shoe which makes it difficult to find any NB shoes in the local stores. I discovered that I can order what I need from Zappos and it only takes a few days to arrive! I love doing business with Zappos and will continue to do so in the future.

I love this shoes. It did not need any break in period. The velcro is also fantastic as I have arthritis in my fingers. I got the beige for work, now I'm getting the black. And of course, Zappos great service.

Seemed very cushy and well made. I wear size 9 and this will be the first time I'm going to have to return them for 9 1/2.

I loved how they felt, not tight..just right. Loved the weight...not heavy, but weighted enough to feel solid and well made. BUT...the velcro straps were at an odd angle. I know I have a high instep, but geesh. Also, the top strap is just way too short and the bottom one did not need to be as long. If they are cutting short to save on the cost of making the shoe, put that extra length that is on the bottom strap back on the one at the top. I have never worn a wide shoe, and any I tried seemed to be big enough to swim in. Wish there was a resolution to this. As it is, it’s a deal breaker.

I ordered these shoes for my Mom following a fall she took. She had not bought shoes for herself in over 10 years and wanted the ones with Velcro closures. She could not go out and shop as she broke her pelvis and was restricted to my house. Zappos was amazing! I could show her the choices on their internet page, she selected the ones she liked, and we placed the order, all within 5 minutes. The price was very reasonable, and to my delight (I still do not know how they did this), the shoes arrived on our front door step the following day! They fit well, they help her keep her balance, and they are very light weight. This 92 yr old loves them!

I found this sneaker puzzling. For one thing, the Velcro strap sits almost on top of the ankle. To try to fasten that strap only goes about 3/4's closed. Though it's Velcro and holds tight, it looks like it's fastened awkwardly. The toe box is huge and almost seems as if there is about 1 inch from the tops of toes other than the big toe. And the noise. When you walk the shoe makes creaking sounds. Though I wanted to keep this shoe because the size for the big toe was OK, the other complaints I wrote have me returning it.

I was unable to replace my favorite New Balance 576 in Bone color with Velcro, so I decided to try 577. I did keep this 577 shoe, but it is not nearly as comfortable. The leather is stiff and the Velcro straps are very short. If shortening the Velcro straps was a cost-cutting measure, I hope it won't happen again.

I like these, got them for nursing school. Wanted something that was easy on and off. These are perfect for that and easy to wipe clean and still have a nice athletic look. Comfy with good support.

I purchased these sneakers for my Mom. She is 83 and was having difficulty with tying laces. They are true to size, easy on and off, not to mention light weight. Mom loves them!

These shoes are very comfortable and I walk a lot on my job as a nurse. It makes it even better that New Balance products are made in the good ol' USA, keeping my fellow countrymen working! This is the second pair of these I have purchased and probably will again.

Shoes are attractive and comfortable. I have a narrow footprint, but a high arch, so I would like a longer tab on the velcro strip; otherwise, I am very much pleased with the fit. I buy New Balance shoes because I can get a narrow width.

I like the fit of this shoe except for the Velcro closing. I have a high instep, and the strap across my foot does not fully cover the Velcro. About a 1/2 inch of the Velcro is exposed. From past experience, this creates a fraying of my pant leg as it rubs against the Velcro. I am returning and will order the lace-up if I can get it in my size.

I love my New Balance shoes with the velcro closures. I ordered these because I was scheduled to have total hip replacement surgery and I thought they would be easy to get on and off. They are so easy! My caregivers and my physical therapist can put them on and take them off with ease! I never ordered athletic shoes with velcro closures before but I would highly recommend them for anyone who is having surgery and will have others helping them rehab post-op. Also my left foot is swollen most of the time and with the velcro it is easy to adjust for the swelling. Thanks again for the great service!

These are not comfortable, the tongue is not in straight, rather it goes to the side. The straps are not long enough. The 575 was much better.

I'm very happy with my New Balance shoes. They are comfortable and fit true to size. I do wish the Velcro straps were a bit longer, but that is a minor complaint.

I've had other versions of the New Balance shoe in the past. I'm glad to see that they have started making the Velcro version again, as it sure makes getting through those airport security checks easier.

Shoes fit great from day one. I have a very difficult shoe size -6EE. I have sent several shoes back because they just didn't fit right, but New Balance is the best fit for me.

I liked the sneakers for walking. Unfortunately after 6 months of daily use, the stitching, which attached 2 separate velcro pieces to make a velcro strip on the inside of the strap, wore out. The loose section of a velcro piece on the velcro strip would no longer pull through the slot to tighten the sneaker when I was putting them on. It would have been better to manufacture the strap with a solid piece of velcro.

I bought these shoes to work out on my treadmill and they work excellent. Very comfortable, good support, and I didn't have to break them in.

Have worn these shoes (usually in white) for many years and love them. Just hope they keep making them. Love the Hook and Loop style.

I have ordered twice from Zappos. 1st was 3 types of shoes for a wedding. Sent back 2 styles due to fit. Then I ordered my New Balance shoes. I love the fit & comfort. Zappos return & shipping policies are great. Shoes have always been 1st quality.

These shoes fit true to size. They are very comfortable and especially easy to put on. They are probably the best tennis shoe I have worn. I am planning to order a black pair to wear all winter. New balance makes good shoes.
