The tongue on shoe was too high and tight for my arch. Very stiff shoe.

Too tight.

I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with this shoe. I have bought very many pairs of New Balance shoes and was always happy with them until I bought these. They are very stiff and the tongues made the top of my feet very sore.

I ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and a Wide! To my surprise this was too short and too narrow. They have to go back.

I have been wearing new balance 577 for years to work. Just this last year I have noticed upon ordering them new balance has changed the cut. My size was women's black 9.5 wide and now it seems I need a 9.5 double wide. They even accommodated a high arch. I did try a 10 medium, but the results were the same. I would need a 10 wide, but then they are to long.

These shoes are horrible. I wore them for a day and wanted to cry. They are stiff, like 1965 old school shoes that need to be broken in, but by the end of the day we’re just as bad as the beginning of the day. There is no way I can spend another day in these. I even bought them in a wide, all my other brand sneakers in wides are fine, and they crushed the bone on the top of my toes, these are supposed to have a tall toe box, which is why I bought them. They slip on my heels while crushing my big toe bones, and rub my ankles, and just generally hurt!

Did'nt like the style

I had great success with the 877, but can no longer get it in my size. The 877 is built on the SL-2 last (roomier toe box, narrower heel, a bit more arch); I assumed ordering another New Balance built on the SL-2 last in the same size would fit. I assumed wrong. Both this pair and the 813 (size 8.5B) were too tight in the toe, and too loose in the heel.

This sneaker is the worse New Balance that I ever bought. It is so stiff and no matter what socks I wear with them it pulls them down off my heel. The tongue of the sneaker is not designed to be straight across instead it has a V shape. In the ideal world I guess they thought a leg would fit perfectly into that V but it does not. So the very padded thick and stiff tongue hits the front of your leg with every step. These are very uncomfortable sneakers. Too bad I wore them several times outside before I realized how uncomfortable they are otherwise they would be returned.

The leather shoe felt true to size, 6 1/2 ww, true to width, and a moderate art support. The shoe fits well, but the all leather shoe is very stiff and not comfortable walking in it. I wanted a less stiff upper and a more flexible sole, but I can not find one since I have a shorter and wider foot than the average person. It is going to take me months to break it in. Is there a way to soften the leather and make the sole more flexible?

I was very disappointed in this WW577 shoe. I have worn this shoe for years in a 9 1/2 size. I got severe foot problems in my left foot and all shoes began hurting. Finally with your great customer service, found two shoes (Ryka and Saucony in a size 10 from Zappo that were very comfortable. I thought the size 10 WW577 would be great for stability in my bumpy rooted yard, but that didn't happen. Where the tongue was sewn on, it was really rough, but the overall fit was even worse. The 10 that I ordered was about the same size as my old 9 1/2. My toe touched the end just slipping one shoe on sitting down. Sorry, had to return them.

This shoe just hurt the sole of my foot. not sure why, but could hardly walk after wearing them.

Shoe ran true to size but unlike my previous New Balance shoes, these were not comfortable. The lower part of the tongue is really thick and the edge rests right under a seam on the upper. I was not impressed by the quality of the leather. Additionally, they looked like giant boats on my feet 9probably partially due to the white color). These are going straight back.

These are horrible but I’m too lazy to return them. I have terrible feet with arthritis in my ankles and knees. I usually wear Crocs cayman clogs but wanted a real shoe for rainy winters. These are stiff and the left shoe rubs on the top of my big toe and my ankles feel squeezed. Had to let the laces down one hole for my ankles. After wearing them for a few hours the right shoe hurt where my toes bend. These were recommended in all the articles written for my problems but I cannot recommend them at all. The look terrible too! Big, clunky and orthopedic looking. Make my feet and ankles look huge. I’d include a picture but I already threw them in the back of my closet. Sticking with the fuzzy lined crocs. They don’t look any worse.

I have ordered this style shoes multiple times with no problems. I don't know if something was changed, but they hurt my feet. They felt hard when first trying them on, but I thought they'd soften up. Unfortunately, I'm not able to wear them. I then ordered a different pair of New Balance that I have also had before. That pair New Balance #411 hurt also. New Balance must have changed something. I have worn both of these styles for years. Now I have two virtually new pair of shoes that I can't wear. I had to purchase a third pair - a different brand, with no problem. I do not have a problem with any other of my shoes, so it has to be something with these New Balance styles. So disappointing, as I've worn both of these styles for years for work and love the convenience of ordering them on the computer without having to go to the store.
