But no more! I have rheumatoid arthritis and hard to fit feet. I have been buying New Balance size 8, 2E wide walking shoes for over a decade. But when I ordered a new pair, of size 8, 2E wide, they were, for the first time ever, too narrow. I then tried the 2E, size 8-1/2. These were too big, but still small in the toe box. I also went through the same experience with your 813 model. They do come in 4E width, so, after the first pair were didn't fit, I re-ordered them in a size 8, 4E. These were too wide in the heel but still tight in the toe box. I am so extremely disappointed. What did you do? I have owned at least a 1/2 dozen pair of these shoes. I am currently wearing size 8 2E New Balance shoes, so please do not tell me my feet have changed. But for some inextricable reason your shoes no longer fit. I hope you can fix this!

These shoes used to have a raised back, shoe laces and extra eyelets, I have bought at least 6 pairs like that. Unfortunately, they now come only with low backs and velcro closings so they slip all the time.

I have bought and worn this New Balance shoe for several years, because it is the only one that has helped me with my knee issues. I also don't live near a NB store, so I order them online. This time, when I received my shoes, I found they squeaked.and after wearing them for a few days, I realized the squeak would not go away. I then looked into returning them, but found I could not because in order to do so, they have to be "new," and I, like I said, have worn them for a few days. Now, everywhere I go when I wear them, everyone will know my New Balance shoes squeak.

These were too short & narrow. I'm a 10 and like to get 10.5 in sneakers. I ordered these in a 10.5 medium. These were supposed to be "premium" leather. Clearly, that doesn't mean real animal leather because these smelled & looked like a combo of vinyl & plastic; especially the pieces around the toes & heels. I'm thinking of trying a 11 wide. In the meantime, I returned these.

They fit. I bought them again , I have two pairs because New Balance is no longer having black shoes for everyday use needed for plantar fascitis, but this is not the best one, it does not compare with other models . And you have to buy new shoelaces, add, 7+ because manufactures have to be safe at expense of consumers and they send you the longest. I am like in a trap because I know NB and have to start again... looking. It is not Zappo's problem, it is a general problem.

I wear a size 10 wide in all of my other new balance shoes, but when I put these on I could immediately tell that they were too big. I took four steps then took them right off and knew I’d be sending them back, because they did that weird thing where the top of the shoe creases down and pushes into your toes. A sure sign they are too big. Sent back .

I was unable to wear this shoe, even though I tried multiple widths. The seam on the inside of the shoe joining the tongue to the body of the shoe irritated the tops my feet in front of my toes. I had no trouble with buying water aerobic shoes with a similar seaming.

The hook section of the Velcro closures are too long and not fully covered by the mesh top when secured closed. The hooks grab on to the bottom of your pant legs and destroy them. They ruin all your pant legs!

I have been wearing NB style 577 for several years, it was a good, well made and supportive sneaker. In the past couple of years they have been getting progressively worst in quality, the fit, sadly, has also suffered, now to add insult to injury the sizing has also been compromised! The size 5.5 M I have always worn is too small and too narrow. Very disappointed with the quality, sizing, and fit. Too bad they have allowed this to happen..

As a person with small, wide feet ,New Balance has been my go-to brand for at least 20 years. It's about to lose me as a customer. Shoes are narrower and no longer fit. And they've discontinued my favorite style in extra wide.

I love NewBalance as they are the only shoes that usually give me a comfy fit. This shoe, however, is too tight in the heel. Probably not the shoe's fault, as I have wonky feet. Have to return these, since they are too painful to wear.

In the past I've worn a 9N in New Balance but decided to go with the 8.5N this time. The length and the width were fine, but the shoe rubs my ankle when I walk, so I'm sending it back. Plus, I know the shoes are supposed to be made of leather, but they look more like a plastic imitation of leather & have a plastic smell. Overall, I'm disappointed with this shoe. I was really excited to buy a narrow shoe made in the USA, but I wish it was made of USA leather as well!

I'm a nurse; on my feet all day. I've been buying New Balance for over 8 years for work. I've always loved them. This pair that I'm wearing now are just not the same quality as New Balance has proved to be in the past. The rubber sole of the shoe is peeling away on both shoes! I've never had this happen EVER. I've only had these shoes 3-4 months. I only wear them at work. They have never even touched the ground outside the hospital.

Hate these clunky, uncomfortable shoes. Ended up giving them away, after avoiding them the entire Summer. Not enough cushioning for the front of your feet. They're hot and trap lots of moisture in there. Wide enough for my bunions, but uncomfortable in so many other respects (and ugly) that I couldn't bear to wear 'em.
