Love the color of this jacket! I receive compliments all of the time because no one has this color where I live! I wish I had gotten a L instead of a M, but overall, I like it.

Great colors and good weight. The small and the medium had sleeves too long for me and they weren't adjustable. I would have needed the medium in all other areas. I am 5'2", with small waist and larger hips. The small wouldn't close for me.

I love this jacket. I'm 5'1" and usually wear a size 4. I ordered the small and it was perfect, and has enough room for layering. The only thing I don't like is all the velcro on the front panel. It sticks to everything and ruined some of my scarves.

The jacket is just what I was looking for. The color is a really nice yellow, it has a hood which tucks under with Velcro , and it is a good length. I ordered the large since people indicated it ran small. It is not overly roomy but I can fit a sweater under it as long as it is not too bulky. The extra large was much too big and lost it's shape.

Very nice jacket. And I wear it not just in the rain but whenever it's a little chilly and I need something more than a sweater. I love the fuchsia color -- it matches the color in the picture. The only thing I don't like about it is the swishy sound it makes when you walk -- the sleeves rub against the body of the coat and it's surprisingly loud! Also, there's a hood that you can tuck inside the lining, kind of nice if you don't like the hood look. But the hood is very useful in the rain. And the jacket really is waterproof.

Love the jacket, but the arm length is way too long and there isn't a away to adjust it. I am 5 feet even. I would have loved to keep it if I didn't have to cuff the sleeves twice, it just looks odd that way.

I bought this for my Girlfriend and she loves it. She loves the close fit style (and she looks good in it too), it does a great job at sweating off any rain. It isn't intended to be a winter coat, as such it doesn't keep you as warm as some might want, but in the wind and rain it does a great job. The only complaint that I have heard from her is sometimes her hair gets caught in the "hook and loop" that covers the zipper.

Ordered this jacket in 'Premiere Purple,' size small. I almost always wear a small in TNF, but with this item, a small did not work (I have since sent back the jacket and ordered a medium). The main problem was the length of the sleeves and overall room; I wanted to have extra room underneath as I may wear this jacket over other articles of clothing and the extra room will be necessary. As all other products I have purchased from The North Face, the quality and construction are excellent. The color (premiere purple) is not a standard grape purple; it's got a bit of a red-violet color to it. As always, Zappos continues to go above and beyond with their amazing service and super-fast shipping! I will shop Zappos forever.

Good jacket, keeps me warm while running in the rain. Waterproof seems good, although not sure how it will hold up in a massive downpour. Fits well.

Jacket looked and felt great but it was a little tight under the arms. Needed to return it but Zappos made the return process painless.

As the other reviews mention, order a size up. I'm normally an XL and purchased a XXL, which fits just right with not much wiggle room. It's comfortable, stylish, and lightweight. The closure for the hood is a tad bit bothersome, but overall it was a good purchase.

This jacket would have been the winner in my mission to find the best rain jacket for my upcoming trip to Peru and the Amazon (and future camping/hiking). However, the drawstrings for the hood have nothing to secure them for different fits. You pull them out, but if you move around a lot, they loosen. There is not that pinch clasp that most others have. I am pretty disappointed in that because this had the most flattering fit of all I have been trying (from Marmot, Patagonia and Mountain Hardware) and a great color. However, I want to be hands free without an umbrella in the rain and I cannot trust that the hood will not drive me nuts and I will not have to keep pulling the strings to tighten it securely in heavy rain or around a bug filled area in the jungle. Also, it has a funny boxy hood for which I cannot really figure out the function. No hood on these types of jackets is particularly flattering, I understand, but this one was especially odd looking. I am 5'9", athletic size 12/14 and the large would fit fine over light clothes but was snug on me when I put on my sweater (unlike other large sizes in different brands which fit well even over a sweater). It was little tight at my hips, too. I think an XL would be too large though. It is easy to move in and I just love the soft felt all around the neck area that the other jackets that I tried did not have. North Face, fix that hood to be more like your competitors for hardcore use and you will probably win out for others in the future!

I agree with others that this jacket runs a hair small. I usually take a M and the L fits me quite well. If you're someone who wears knits a lot, beware the seemingly industrial strength velcro on the front. I've had it snag a few things already.

I was looking for a great waterproof/windpoof jacket to accompany with my lightweight down jacket. I wanted something structured and this jacket gives me the style I was looking for. However, the stiffness of the collar and way-to-long sleeves are the backdrops so I returned it.

Love this jacket in general but have a couple of complaints. Although the body of the jacket is lined with breathable mesh, the sleeves are lined with polyester fabric that does not breathe. There is no venting and the sleeves have elastisized wrists. This wasn't a noticeable while just sitting around but when I wore it hiking the sleeve linings got sopping wet, a major design flaw. I plan to alter the sleeves to improve ventilation. The jacket also runs small, I had to return my first order and go up a size.

My 14 yr old daughter wanted this coat for her birthday. I got the small even though according to the size chart she should have taken an extra-small. I'm glad I got the small. She's 5'1", 92 lbs and it fits perfect. The coat is not very long. As you can see on the model, it does not even cover the hips. So if you're looking for a longer rain jacket, don't buy this one. The hand pockets are just made of a mesh material and don't seem very durable. Also, there are no interior pockets which would have been nice for cell phone placement. I normally would not have paid this much for a basic rain jacket, but my daughter asked for this coat by name for a gift. I definitely would not have bought this for myself because of the points made above.

I am returning it because the right pocket has two fabric defects with small holes. Did they send me a used jacket!? Otherwise it is a fine jacket!

After reading many reviews, I decided to order this jacket for myself. Loved the color as it wasn't a true red, and everyone I see is wearing Marker Blue. In the end, however, I am returning it for two reasons - it's far too noisy for my taste, the stiffness and "swoosh" would probably never dissipate. If that bothers you, just be forewarned. The style is definitely cute, and the fit good. The other flaw, in my opinion, is the "mesh" interior, that also follows through to the pocket. After wearing the jacket twice, and putting my car keys into my pocket (I don't carry a purse), I feared that wearing it any more and using the pockets, they would not be durable enough to hold up to everyday use. I am replacing this jacket with the Outdoor Research Women's Aspire Jacket.

I ordered this jacket, but because it is more fitted than a looser box shape, the size 2XL, was not for me. I could not zipper it. I hate having to return things, (whether shipping is free or not), so I gave it as a gift to a friend. Of course she loved it, due to the name AND it fit her much better. Also, when telling about myself, there were three things that were optional...so why when "submitted", it came back "highlighted" that it had to be answered?

I love the style and fit of this jacket. But I was expecting more of a lime green. It's more of a kelly green. So it's going back because I don't like the color.

I really wish this jacket wasn't lined... after 2 wears, the lining in the pocket got stuck in the zipper. The zipper broke, and the angle of the pocket makes it useless, everything falls out. This isn't the usual North Face quality, I'm surprised this jacket is so awful. I purchased it to replace my previous North Face rain jacket that had held up for many years.

Very disappointing. Couldn't even get it close to zipping. Ordered it in my usual North Face size but it didn't come close to fitting me. Cute but... Returned it.

Good looking rain coat, except the Velcro lining in front keeps sticking while your trying to zip the jacket up. The collar is too wide for me and gets in the way but may not be for someone else!
