I bought these to replace a pair of Tevas that were a decade old. Seems they've cheapened them over the years - the straps are no longer covered with a smooth material (meaning the rough canvas is not as comfortable against your foot) and the strap holders are much smaller and lower making more of that rough canvas sit against your foot. These are not as comfortable as the Tevas I bought 10 years ago but I will keep them as they are still better than other Teva-like shoes. The sole is still super-comfortable and the adjustability of these is awesome. Also, I am a size 9.5. As I did ten years ago, I originally bought a size 10 and I was falling out of them. They were huge. The 9's that I exchanged them for are just barely the correct size so if you are between sizes, consider ordered down, not up as is usually recommended. These 9's are basically the same size as the 10's I bought ten years ago so if you haven't bought Tevas in a while, consider this bit of info when making your purchase. Ten years ago I would have rated these 5-overall, 5-comfort, 4-style. These new ones are really 4-overall, 3.5-comfort, 4-style.

These are generally great and I have been a long time wearer. The problem encountered this last pair is that the sole separated. This also happened to 2 pair that my wife owned. On the plus, plus side...Teva stands behind their product and all was resolved

Great comfort and support. However, when I walk on these they make all sorts of noise (often sounds like a fly or other buzzing insect is trailing me). Noticeable, but not annoying. I would still recommend these sandals and buy again.

I've been wearing Tevas for well over 10 years, and while these, like the last couple pairs I've had, are mostly comfortable, the front straps could be a bit longer for those of us with wider feet.

I wear these sandals most days it is warm enough and I really enjoy them. They provide excellent support and are comfortable in almost all situations. However, I noticed that they were a bit challenging to hike rough terrain in. They also became less comfortable when my feet got wet. I would recommend these sandals for most trails/areas, but not for serious hiking.

I have not had a chance to use this product around water yet. I bought them for an extended Island vacation.

The Teva Hurricane XLT is an okay sandal. If I were to buy a replacement, it would be a more expensive model that Teva offers. The Hurricane feels a bit flimsy compared to my previous pair and just doesn't feel as comfortable. They are okay, just not as good as I expected. Zappos' service is excellent.

I bought these for my husband. He really liked them but they were too big. He normally wears a 10 but I'll be returning these and trying a size 9.

I've worn Tevas for 20 plus years. I love them for summer wear, traveling and walking in the rain. Much better than flip flops if you are going to walk any distance--better support--and, you can run I'm them if you have to.

Since I don't like shoes I wear these sandals almost everyday for work and play. They are a hardy but not bulky or weighty sandal, comfortable and very durable. They grip well, even in wet weather or underwater. Just a good all around, consistent product that I have returned to purchase many times

We have always loved Teva sandals for their practicality and comfort on different terrains. The kids' are not as durable as I expected. They did not last the summer, with the sole separating on one of the shoes. Hopefully the warranty will cover a replacement. The sole material gets very stinky (we've experienced this also with adult Tevas) and requires periodic soaking with chlorine bleach to get rid of the smell.

It's very comfortable..the straps can chafe you skin but maybe it needs some break in time.

So, I've been jumping in Tevas since I first saw them back in 88. There is no better sandal for skydiving. Period.

For outdoors in wet or dry rocky or plane surfaces.
I am replacing my old Teva which had snaps to fasten . i find the snaps much more convenient to use. The straps used to fasten the new sandal has to be placed exactly one over the other.

Half sizes would be great, I stumble occasionally with current size too long.
Classic elegant design is best. Stay away from unnecessary blobs and swirls and current trendy styles.
