Great sandle, but I'm quite thin and I don't like how tight I have to pull the straps for them to stay on my feet.

I was so happy to find out about Zappos. I saved a lot! by purchasing my Teva's through them and not only did they have them in stock but they had dozens of different styles and brands to choose from. I can guarantee you this I will not buy another pair of shoes anywhere else. Fast, convenient and great saving! Thanks Zappos!

I use the XLT daily. They have a much lighter feel than appears. The strapping system is still the best but, I have noticed decline in quality over the last few years. i.e. Separation of Velcro at tips

The sandle is fine and I enjoy wearing them, but I should have gotten one size smaller.

Only a little thinner material than 20 year old ones. I had noticed other leather sandals were getting crazy thin.

Wear them every day. Easy to put on and take off. Wear for my walks with my dogs. Easy on my feet. Needed to snip off an area on the strap to make comfortable but once I did they were great.

The straps are a little rough around the ankle but I think they will soften with time. Also, the etched lines on the insole of the sandal will gather gunk (dead foot skin, dirt, sweat, etc.) through normal wear. Maybe you can design the insole as a smooth surface next time. Overall not bad. Thanks.

I was looking for a shoe that I can wear when I'm on the river, at the lake or on the beach that does not collect stones or sand too much. Many other brands do this, and it's aggravating. So far, this shoe is the best as far as this goes within the price range.

Great sandal, I use it as a camp shoe during the summer hiking season, as a water shoe when river swimming, and as an all around sandal during the summer festival season. I like the durability of the Hurricane, I tried the softer sole sandals, but found that the cushioning just flattens out and becomes too thin, I tried the old universal style, but found them to be not as comfortable as the Hurricane. After 20 years of consuming sandals, I have had about 3 good Tevas, so I guess I'm a Teva man, I don't like the strapping of the Chacos. I have been using my new hurricanes for the last 2 months and yes they are great and I am glad I bought them; simple in design and very functional.

I wear sandals virtually all the time in warm weather. My Teva sandals are my "go to" sandals. I do have other brands but none are as comfortable as my Tevas.

The first time I wore them they really tore my big toes up. I ended up with some pretty bloody feet. I continued through it and after a week or so of wearing them they have broken in. My big toes weren't prepared for a strap over the top of them and it really wore the toe down. I think from here on out I could wear these puppies daily. I'm looking forward to seeing how long they'll stay in one piece as I'm very tough on footwear. Cheers!

I've had a pair for 15 years or so and got great use out of them. Velcro finally stopped working well so it was time for a new pair. Hope they last as long!

These are simple, sleek and lightweight! They are almost half the weight of a pair of Chacos and considerably less expensive. The Aztec print is a great touch as well. In a perfect world: they could use nicer heel cushioning and arch-support. It would be nice to have a softer material on the inside straps (anti-microbial microfiber etc.) as well.
I'd also recommend:

Had to finally replace my older Hurricane sandals that I've had for 10 years (I still use them as camp shoes). So went with the men's version for two reasons: the patterns were better than the women's and secondly, I have a very forward a d high arch that the men's design fits better. Please keep making this sandal, it's still my favorite!

I've had several different styles of Teva sandals over the years and these remain dead on consistent in size for me. I typically am 9-1/2 or 10 in most sneakers, dress shoes etc, but in Teva it's always a 9 & that's okay...because the size stays right on no matter what style. One element about these that prompted and exchange is that the back strap fits me much lower on the heel than other styles. If you look closely at the small connecting piece that loops over the two back straps it is low, other options have a taller strap that allows for the back strap to ride higher on heel, which is what I like. Only giving 4 stars on comfort and overall because of the personal fit. If you don't mind the position these would be a 5 for sure.
