As above takes some getting use to becaause the strap closes from the inside. I think the length is true to form but the width is a little narrow.
Don't ask me for a free review and then tell me what fields I have to respond to.
Over all I am a fan of Teva. I have three pair and worn out a fourth and my wife has two pair.

I use the sandals every day as I live in tropical north queensland Australia. I like the sandals as they allow my feet to breath and not sweat to much. They have good cushioning but I would like the first Toachi sandals but with the cushioning of toachi 2. They are still a good sandal ,but that is my assesment.

the sandals are very light however they are not durable, the toes are already very scuffed, the straps were changed from the style that I had returned (the soles fell off). I am satisfied because it appears that you are trying but I would not have spent my [$]on these if I had seen them in the store vs the website.

I was expecting the same comfort of the leather (similar style - wider straps) ones I have and love - wish all the soles and cushion of this style of sandle were consistent.
I like comfort with cushion but openness. but also want support!!! the sraps on this style did not give much support to my foot......

I gave my Toachi2s quite a glowing review previously, but I withheld comment on their durability, as I had not worn them long enough. Now the left toe area is wearing badly. It scuffed several times when I was walking on sidewalks, and it began to fray. Closer examination revealed that the tops of the soles seem to wrap around sides of the soles in a thin layer that is subject to abrasion. I admit to scuffing, but I can't imagine that they would hold up well if worn for serious walking over rocky terrain.I still like the style and comfort, but gee, [$]?

I am not impressed with this sandal. The buckle makes it harder, not easier, to wear. The ability to quickly adjust the straps is gone. I will return to a different sandal next time.

I returned the shoes as the strap over the top of my foot did not meet in the center and quickly gave me a blister on the top of my foot.

Don't like the way the strap at the base of the toes is made. Leaves an un-cushioned part over the base of the big toe that isn't very comfy. Other than that, I like them.

Poor SupportGreat Support
The shoe was "good" and offered great support. However, the left front panel that managed the loop for the velco, was the same as the right front version--the result was that it was rubbing against my foot.
Basically, a production error at the factory. Putting the correct loop on would have solved the problem.
I'll be ordering another pair right away, with the hope that the "loop" is correct.

Wanted a pair of Teva that had an actual footbed rather than their standard flat uncomfortable footbeds, like on their originals and flips.
Straps were light weight and chafed. Toe strap should be reversed so big toe has some padding. Overall felt cheap and not well thought out.

Double layer straps have hard bottom layer that chafes and moves around. Insufficient padding around straps. Toe strap should be closing in the opposite direction. The way it closes now the big toe rubs against the unoadded hard plastic strap. Also feel cheaply made.
Good foot pad but straps need redesign. Double layer strap is nasty
Took 5 minutes of wearing to notice how toe and ankle straps needed redesign.
Footbed has some heel support unlike many of the Teva models. No heel cup leads to sliding and sore feet. I've had 6 pair of Teva sandals- mushes, flips, originals, and Terra-fi. Terra-go is the only one that doesn't make my feet hurt after about an hour.

I was looking forward to this pair based on comments in reviews. I got them out of the box. Nice light weight. Good tread. Put them on and walked around the house for 15 minutes, took them off, repackaged them and put them in return mail the next day. The strap across the toes leaves no padding over the big toes because it straps from the wrong side. 4 toes are covered but the big toe is left open to the hard vinyl strap that is under the outer strap. Also the straps around the ankle have the same hard vinyl like strap under the thin top layer. Very disappointed with the materials, design, and quality for the money.
In general I wish Teva would do something to improve the design of their foot beds. The only Teva I can wear all day are my Terra-Fis. Teva makes good product for the most part but they've neglected footbed design. Take a look at what Spenco is doing with their footbed. Very comfortable but I generally like Teva designs a bit better. But design doesn't trump comfort.

I bought the Tevas to replace Merrill sandals of the same type that I really liked but our puppy decided to chew. I greatly prefer the Merrills. The fit was better and they were more comfortable. Not sure that they even still make them because they were impossible to find so I ended up with the Tevas. The Merrills were better in all respects.

You can tell Deckers has ruined the Teva brand. They changed the last, to make it look more european (thinner, longer). Does;t function as well, scrambling around on loose, wet rocks. Rubber isn;t the spider stick rubber....same rubber used on basketball shoes. straps have nice lining.....but no models with all buckles anymore. I bought these as the best that Teva makes....and they fail pretty badly at technical sandals (for kayaking, climbing approaches, hiking, etc). Totally disappointed. I have been wearing Teva sandals since 1989....and this will be my last

With a ate a reps help was trying to find a replacement for my beloved sandals they have discontinued.
The straps are cheap Velcro and will wear out quickly, the previous edit version had mesh lined straps with full padding.
Bring back the old style in women's sizes and colors.
Am returning.

I am surprised to see so many positive reviews for these sandals. The style is nice but the functionality is really lacking. It is as if the designers never tested their product in the field. I bought these for white water rafting and trips to the beach. A mistake I wish I could take back. The four issues I have with these sandals are: 1. When walking, the plastic clasps "click and clack" with every step you take. Very annoying. 2. The plastic claps are on the opposite side of the sandal from where they typically are on other sandals. A small added hassle getting them on and off. 3. The "Drain Frame" sounds good in theory but what it actually does is trap sand and pebbles in the "Shoc Pad" heel area, making it uncomfortable to walk. Hopefully you will have a something thin to pluck all the debris out of your "Shoc Pad" and "Drain Frame" every few steps. 4. After literally four uses in one year, the glue is starting to separate from where the lime green meets the sandal. Not acceptable for such expensive performance sandals. Do yourself a favor and save the hassle. Find different sandals that function as well as they look.

Bought the pair of shoes a year and a half ago. They feel very comfortable, not too heavy, and they are quite useful in wet situations, never slippery, always sticky. Their only cons is the strap chafes. They are made of a flimsy plastic, have a dubious purpose in addition to the velcro, and are far from being durable. One of them came a bit loose after a very short time (although this is not noticable in normal condition). The piece of textile by which they are attached to the shoe is also of dubious quality, mine got broken after a year and a half. Of course, I used them in a lot of situations from climbing to kanoeing, but I would have expected a bit more from this kind of shoes.

I loved my previous Tevas to death - never had a problem with them. Mainly used for walking the dogs on the beach and through the water, but also for travelling through Asia and Africa. My feet get blisters easily, and the neoprene padding was wonderful. No idea which style they were.
Replaced them with the Toachi 2, which felt fine in the store, but as soon as they got wet the wonderful grippy straps gave me blister after blister. Everything else about the shoe is great, but I can't wear them.
I even tried buying half a size larger in the men's (tried the women's one first), but all that meant was more strap and more blisters.
I am sad. And I have no shoes for walking on the beach.

The buckle or Velcro fastener should be on the inside of the arch. The outside placement seems awkward and hard to connect or insert the buckle.

The former style of the toachi shoe has been my favorite for years. It is supportive yet the extra padding makes it comfortable as well. I wear them all day teaching with no foot discomfort at the end of the day. They are THE most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Why did you change the style of the padding over the toe so it does not protect all the toes anymore?

The glue that holds the sole to the upper assembly gives way after about a year. Same problem with my wife's pair of Teva's as well. Talk to others and this is a problem across the board with Teva products, glue failure.

Hiking in Greece, bought them for all purposes thats all I took was the sandals.
they killed my feet, heels, side and top, had to put bandaids on the straps to stop it from digging into my feet who ever designed them I don't think he ever walked in them.
I give credit for its durability, I walked up some steep mountains and to blow a sandal in the middle of nowhere would have made getting back very painful lots of rocks and thorny shrubs.

The Toachi 2 is a lot narrower than any other pair of Teva sandals that I've ever owned. I'm also not a fan of how the shock pad feels. I'll be mailing these back tomorrow.
