Okay, but not as good as the TNF 105GTX. They don't fit as well as the 105s and run bigger. Ended up keeping them for running but got another pair of the 105s also.

Run small, tight toe box. When will manufacturers learn to give us roomy toe boxes in hiking shoes?

These are great fitting and good looking but not waterproof. I have been satisfied with other North Face products so thought I'd give the shoes a try. First time I put these to the test for a short hike in wet grass my toes got wet. So much for Gore-tex shoes that do not keep your feet dry is a big disappointment.

Loved the look and the Vibram sole, but the width of the shoe was unfortunately much narrower than previous similar North Face shoes. Had to return both pairs.

Nice shoe but after a workout, I noticed a bad odor somewhere in my closet. It was my shoes! They had a very strong old rubber smell. None of the reviews indicated this and I'll bet I read a couple of dozen. Is the manufacturer using recycled rubber? Other than the odor issue, I liked the shoe.

The first pair I ordered was a 10.5, which were slightly too tight. As always Zappos customer service took care of it right away and I had the size 11's the next day. They are the correct length, but I've found that I have to crank on the laces to get the shoes to fit snug, and I have wide feet. The shoes are waterproof until you splash water onto the top of the toes, which soaks right through. The gore tex also makes my feet sweat like crazy when I'm active, making them wet, and making them smell bad. This is my first pair of "waterproof" gore tex shoes, so maybe I was expecting too much but overall, I'm disappointed.

Great feeling shoes but I question the quality. When lacing them up for the first time one of the plastic eyelets that holds the laces popped off the rivit. Sending back less than 5 minutes after they hit the doorstep. I have no doubt Zappos will take care of this but I am a little nervous about the long term durability of these shoes.

I bought these to replace my first pair, which wore out after many years of faithful service (and abuse). On my first time trying them on out of the box, one of the eyelets immediately snapped and popped off. Much of my North Face gear has lasted for years, but my confidence in these shoes' quality has been called into question.
