Great fit and the materials look and feel good. They have knobby soles for gripping rocky surfaces work well when hiking in desert terrain.

This is my second pair of Hedgehogs and I'll probably get another pair as I've worn these down from constant wear. Wore them through the summer of hiking, camping and just everyday wear. Then wore them throughout the winter just about every day, too. The Gore-Tex keeps you're feet dry and even in the harshest of high country winters here in Vail, they keep my feet warm and dry. Love 'em.

This is my second pair of Hedgehogs. I love these shoes! I work in an environment where I am outside quite a bit and on my feet. They are very comfortable and hold up well. I will be buying my third pair in the spring of 2014.

This is my second pair of Hedgehogs. After buying the black ones this winter, I was really impressed with their support. They are not as comfortable/soft as sneakers, they feel much more solid, like a light hiking boot. While not immediately noticeable, it really makes a difference if you are on your feet all day.

Love these! Lightweight, all purpose shoes - work for hiking, trail-running, street running, and everyday walking around. It's great that they are waterproof - I haven't put them to an extreme test, but they held up on dewy grass and street puddles. As others mentioned, they are a tad bit warmer than running shoes.

I ordered this shoe assuming true to size and it was. This is a very comfortable, all purpose hiking and walking shoe which I can use on the trail or on the sidewalk. As usual, Zappos service and delivery was great. Job well done.

I was a die hard Merrell Moab fan till they jacked the price up and tried pushing off their cheap waterproof membranes as an alternative. So I saw these in a Gander Mountain on a clearance rack for less. These shoes are leaps and bounds better. Softer insole that holds up better, better traction, longer tread life, interior materials last longer... the list goes on. I usually went through 2 pairs of Moab's per year, but I have a solid year on mine and never got a wet foot nor have I had sole separation. Very pleased and just ordered a second pair.

The Hedgehog is a wonderful shoe. The size 11 was an exact fit and each day the shoe seems to form fit better and better to my foot. The sole is very grippy and durable. The Gore-Tex makes it very dry. They look great with my jeans. I really like the colors. I hope they last for 4-5 years just like my last pair of North Face low top trail/city/all-purpose shoes.

North Face Hedgehog III GTX is well built and solid. It provides good support to the feet without the need for costly custom insoles. I love the way it fits. It provides comfort in cold weather and I have used it in snow and it is waterproof. So great shoe for the price.

I have had these North Face shoes before and found them to be comfortable, warm and dry on my feet. Good fall and winter shoe for my area. I would recommend this shoe to everyone. Workmanship is top notch!

These are my second pair of Hedgehogs. They are the most comfortable sneaker I have ever owned. They are light enough for running, but durable enough for mountain hiking down here in the SW desert.

These are incredible shoes. Ice, snow, rain, or mud your feet stay dry and the Vibram soles stick to the surface. I have screws in one foot and these are the only shoes that I have found that completely take away the pain. The insoles are extremely comfortable. These are very highly recommended shoes if you want comfort good traction waterproof and great looking shoes for a very reasonable price for what you get. A+ to The North Face!

I got these for my husband. His old pair of North Face shoes finally started to deteriorating after a few years. So I got him these. He loves them! He wanted waterproof sneakers for the fall and winter. And these have worked great. Very comfortable and completely waterproof.

I bought these shoes July 2011 and wear them most every day. The following December after I purchased them, I went on a 45 backpacking trip on the AT and they were great! They have held up wonderfully and only recently have I changed the insole. The original insole is very well made with good support. The sole is very aggressive and has great gripping, but if I were doing a lot of climbing on wet rocks, I would find a sole that grips better, as this one is slippery and scary. Other than that, It's a great shoe and I will buy again. I plan on wearing them on my next 35 mile backpacking trip as they are still going strong.

Great hiking and walking shoe. This is my second pair, not the same color of course but both with Gore-Tex and have proven not only waterproof but very comfortable. I am 67 and find these shoes to be great grippers in the dirt and very supportive on the pavement.

Great! I bought the 10.5 and they are true to size. Lightweight, sturdy, comfortable. Great hiking and street shoe.

I have a pair of mid-height and love them. Recently used them on hike to Rockies with great results. TNF makes a size 12 1/2 that is prefect for me. Great boot.

I bought these shoes for my husband. He works as a plant engineer in a hospital and is on concrete floors all day. He loves them and they don't hurt his feet. I personally like how they look. This color combination is sweet! The fit is true to size.

Bought these shoes for my husband and son for a sightseeing tour of London and Sweden. They absolutely love them! Comfortable right out of the box. Excellent support and great in the rain!

My wife told me to buy these after her glowing review of purchasing her own pair. I love and trust my wife. She is amazing and is always right. I am so lucky. (O.K. Well, in truth it's wife here, but he has been as happy as I with these excellent shoes. See women's version for my review. Husband truly wears them every day and has fairly high arch, back injury as well as bad knee. Yes, he is lucky to have me.:-)

Buying shoes for me is a crap shoot, sometimes I wear a 7.5 and sometimes I wear an 8. In this particular shoe I wear an 8. So if you are in the same position I'm in I would recommend you go a half size bigger.

I love these shoes and have both the low and mid. Comfortable and have never slipped. Also, they have a 12 1/2 that has saved my toes. Recommend. Zappos service is excellent.

I was shopping for a good pair shoes for hiking and everyday city wear. I really wanted to love these shoes based on all of the great reviews. They looked great and fit well length-wise, but definitely were too tight width-wise. My small toes felt like they were being crammed inward. I normally wear a medium/D width, so it might just be the way these are made. This was my first time trying North Face brand shoes. I'm returning them and searching something similar.

These shoes have been great. They have held up for 1 year and 7 months of everyday wear. I also ride a motorcycle half the year which makes for a tough time on shoes. These shoes are comfortable from the beginning and have been comfortable for the entire life of the shoe. The only complaint I've ever had is that the waterproofing has not been as good as other GORE-Tex shoes I've owned.
