First, I love Keen shoes. These, as my other Keens, have great arch support and are so comfortable. I found these to be even lighter than my others and I love the "no lace" ties.

This review is really about the McKenzie shoes I bought last spring, which are absolutely the most comfortable shoes ever. I wore them all winter except in the snow. Not the dressiest shoe but so easy on my problem feet. I just hope they haven't changed because I just bought a new pair.

Not as much arch support as most Keen's but a great shoe nonetheless! No need to break them in, just put them on and go. I have these shoes in 3 colors.

Love these shoes! I'm a teacher on my feet all day. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! Love them and will definitely purchase more Keen's!

I love these shoes. I am a nurse and I am on feet 12 hours a day. These shoes are wide enough to be comfortable through my shift. I put them on and worked in them the whole day the first time I wore them. I kind of need more cushion on the ball of my feet so I may get some ortho inserts, Zappos is the greatest, I ordered one day and had my shoes the next day.

I bought these for a trip to Hawaii. They went from hiking trail to water and back to trail comfortably. I love these shoes!

Love these! All I wanted to wear on our trip to LA earlier this month, they are very comfortable. Not as open as Keen's strappy sandals, but every bit as cool on the feet. Cute, comfortable shoe for summer.

I love these shoes! Though they seem to run a half size larger, I walked miles all over NYC without a breaking in period. Can't wait to go hiking in them this summer! Highly recommend!

I was looking for something to replace my beloved old Salomon amphibians (Salomon has since changed the styling). Alas, these Keens were not as comfortable, and they have a polyester footbed that made my feet hot.

They are unlined and the polyester mesh has a melted plastic edge inside the shoe to keep it from fraying (rather than hemmed). It rubbed my foot painfully and immediately. Look cute, but felt like smoke and mirrors.

Keen McKenzie are good for me. I love the way they look. My only gripe would be that they would be a little nicer with slightly more foot padding but they are still my current favorite shoe for the weekend. I had been a long time fan of Venice H2Os but looking for a little more enclosure to wear on non-summer days or ones to prevent pebbles coming in. Though another reviewer was doing the same thing she was disappointed, I was not.I have flat feet and these in Medium, provide an ample footbed and wide toe box. I tried them with a replacement insert just because a shoe salesman had sold me some which I have never used. They fit without cutting, however I found although the McKenzies were good with more foot padding, the pads pushed up my heel, enough that I prefer the shoe without a thicker layer. I have not tried them without socks. On a breezy day you feel the wind through these shoes so wouldn't be great for cold weather. In the meantime I have found Keens Venice H2O have been changed enough making them more narrow and slightly shorter as in years past. Now, that's a disappointment! Wish they made more shoes with the wider toe box and wider foot bed. Zappos is my go-to site for shoes. PS - the Raven/Hot Coral color is as shown in the picture- gray with a turquoise blue. I was wondering since other shoes with hot coral are showing a pink red color, a color I would not have liked.

So far so good! I had to order my true size - no sizing up or down. I ordered the Slate Black/Ceramic and the color appeared brighter online than in person.

When I ordered them, somehow I managed to miss that these are rated as "watersport" shoes, but I am keeping them anyway. They are a good substitute for sandals if you need more protection than a sandal provides. They are good enough as lightweight walkers if you wear with socks and a lot cooler than enclosed shoes. Has the typical Keen wide fit in front, which I need.

I love these shoes. Cool and comfortable and easy to pull on. I do wish the front of the shoe wasn't so bulbous, and they'd be cuter. However, I find they're all I want to wear. The inside felt too scratchy to wear without socks when I first got them, but now it doesn't bother me.

These are fun shoes! The speed laces make them quick and easy to slip in/out of. They are light and airy, perfect for warmer weather and water/sand. Possible cons, depending upon your view would be that the sole is not quite as stiff as typical Keen outdoor shoes and the toe box feels a bit wider than some of my other Keens.

I would have given 5 stars but this shoe is lacking a good insole. It's very thin. I wear orthotics and still found it not as cushioned and supportive as I prefer. It has a very wide toe box though.

I love these, but they are much more of a sandal than a shoe. They lack the great support I love about the Keen hikers. I can't really rate it properly because it is not what I was expecting.

Cute, but not sure for my purpose. Normally I have to size up a whole step in keens, but this model only required a half step. Its essentially a sandal with an open mesh between the webbing straps. The mesh holes are probably going to be too large to keep out small pebbles on the river shore near me - I am trying to find a solution that is not an aqua sock, crock, or boat shoe that never dries out (what I default on presently). They would definitely be bad in sand.

Keen is becoming such a letdown. This was one of the only Keen styles for women with the older wide toe box. But it is an ugly shoe. And it looks cheap. The footbed is the lowest quality I've ever seen in a Keen, thin with no support and minimal padding. I could replace it with my own Superfeet, but I tried on another Keen style that had a great footbed today (the shoe had other problems). You cannot get Keen footbeds/insoles separately. The heel is high like other newer Keens but it's a stretchy fabric and should not be an issue if worn with socks. These shoes are very breathable (water/hybrid shoes I guess) and are lightweight for a Keen. I am having a hard time paying full price for this shoe even though it's the only sport shoe I have found that fits me. Keen: Bring back the Bronx, make more wide toe boxes, and lower the top of the heel/back! (and bring back the dip in the back of the heel). All your new shoes give me ankle blisters, are too narrow in the toe and wear out in under 6 months. If I want that kind of shoe, I'll spend less for a pair of Skechers.

I love my Keen sandals, but I had to return these shoes because they were quite uncomfortable. For some reason, the way they bend or "break" while walking caused my left big toe to become very painful at the joint. I was actually limping by the end of the afternoon. I have never had this happen before. I like the Keen styling and thought these shoes would be a comfortable alternative to my sandals to wear this fall, but unfortunately that was not the case.

I love the purple and grey version of this shoe. I could have lived with the slightly clownish toe-shape, but there just wasn't enough support overall. I don't think replacing the insole should be required in order to achieve some modicum of comfort in a shoe at this price.

I love my Keen Whispers (I'm on my third pair) and Voyageurs, but I've had the McKenzies for a few months and they are just not keepers. I wanted something to wear at gravelly beaches that would keep the rocks out (Whispers don't), which the McKenzies do, but they are much less comfortable than my other Keens. They are not well-finished inside so tear up my feet, and this has not improved with more wear. They even tear up the socks when I wear them with socks. They are too wide, and the heel is cut too low, so I slop around in them. They don't cinch up tight like the Whispers. As a result I don't feel solid scrambling over rocky areas in them, and they get pulled off easily.

I wanted something close to the Whispers I love so much except with mesh to keep rocks out. The McKenzie is too loose in the heel, and I wish it had stretch laces. Those are not deal-breakers, but after months of wear, they are still so scratchy and rough inside that I have to wear fairly thick socks or else get sore spots and blisters on the tops of my feet. They even kind of tear up the socks in a couple of spots. They are also heavy, and the footbed is less cushiony than my other Keens. Disappointing. I love my Whispers and Voyageurs.

Keen makes great shoes, but 0nly in medium width. I would be a loyal customer if Keen make wider versions of its shoes.
