I wore these shoes right out of the box, walking all over San Francisco and then used them as a camp shoe when backpacking. Even brand new, and sockless, they never caused any sensitive spots. I thought at first that they were a little big, but with wearing, they began to feel perfect. I love them!

Very comfortable and practical. I'm using these shoes every day - they never even go back into the closet. Vegan shoe choices can be limited, and this one fits the bill so well I bought a second "back-up" pair.

I love my Merrell Barefoot Pace shoes and need something similar I can wear to work with casual skirts and pants. I like Mary Jane styles, and I think this one will do. The sole doesn't seem to flex as much as the Pace does. Plenty of room in the toe box for toe wigglers like me. It's a tad wide for me (unlike the Pace), but if I push my heel all the way back before closing the arch strap it seems to work okay. I usually wear a 9.5 or a 10; the 9.5 fits me best in this shoe. I have narrow heels and "low volume" feet (i.e., in height or depth my foot is thin).

Love these shoes...offer the barefoot feel of Vibrams but my toes do not cramp. I do not run in them just wear everywhere. So comfortable and my feet feel great - I try to avoid flip flops to give my shins a break and these are perfect. While they do not smell as much as regular shoe worn without socks they do need to be tossed in the wash every few weeks. I am onto my 2nd pair already - needed another color choice. Highly recommend!

Love these! So comfortable. Cool. Cute. Way better for your feet than flip flops. Definitely casual, not meant for dinner out - unless you live in Boulder, where you can wear anything anywhere.

I love this shoe. I bought it for hiking and trail running, but I've found I wear them all the time because they're so darn cute. The soles are textured, so they're versatile over lots of terrain, from trails to sidewalks.
I got a half size up because they seemed a little short in the toes for me. I have a little extra room in the heel now, but it fits great because of the soft elastic at the back. No blisters, no rubbing. My calves were exhausted for the first few days, but that was expected and part of the reason I wanted these shoes--to more fully engage and work my legs and feet.

This shoe is quite comfortable yet gives one a sense of the terrain. It is good for hiking on uneven surfaces and resembles more a climbing shoe. I thought this shoe might be less comfortable on moderately long hikes because of its thinner sole, but not so. I am quite satisfied with it.

I've jumped on the minimalist running shoe bandwagon. The idea is that shoes with next to no support will encourage a more natural posture and gait (read Born To Run). Anyway, I absolutely love my "New Balance Minimus" trail running shoe which has a similar bottom. These are a cute everyday version. The red is darker than the picture, but still a lovely color!

I love this shoe so much, I have purchased it in every color. I have a wide foot and many shoes rub, causing blisters and calluses. This shoe does not. It is pure comfort. I work in retail sales, and can wear this shoe and be comfortable all day.

Absolutely comfortable. No support: my experience is that foot problems go away when there is no support. (The muscles and such develop and do their job.)

Great to wear without socks. If you don't like the barefoot feel and don't like to get the inside of the shoe dirty, put in a thin adhesive liner. You can always change the liner and it takes the place of having to wear socks in order to keep the soles clean and dry. I have peripheral neuropathy in my toes and I also have a balance problem. With this shoe I can easily spread my toes to help my poor balance. I love the feel of barefoot without actually going barefoot. I think they are too expensive, but I'll keep buying them for the reasons I stated. I have purchased 2 pair and I think the sizing is a bit off. My blue ones are close to being too short and my black ones are much wider and longer. Maybe order 2 sizes and send the one back that does not suit your fit.

I love these Merrell Pure Gloves, but found the sizing to be a little weird. I also own the Pace Gloves. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5. I ordered the Pace Gloves at 9.5 and they're almost too small. I ordered the Pure Gloves at 9.5 and they were huge. I had to return them for a 9, but Zappos is awesome and speedy and I love their service! I bought them thinking they'd be nice for summer, but my feet get pretty toasty wearing them. Oh well, still cute!

Though these do not provide arch support, they are very comfortable right out of the box without socks. They work well for me, and I do wear them on longer walks in lieu of flip-flops in the summer.

For my foot, I found it true to size, considering it is worn without socks. I would not go down in size. The shoe is very comfortable and cute!

I inadvertently came upon these shoes when I was looking for a metallic color ballet flat. I'm familiar with the barefoot running movement and didn't realize at first that these were minimalist shoes. They're super comfortable but do require time for your feet to get used to them. I wear them for commuting in the urban jungle and walk on a lot of concrete. Apparently, I've been stomping pretty hard when I walk because after days where I walk more than normal, my arches are tired. Also, some muscles in the metatarsal area are still getting used to the minimalist nature of the shoes. Otherwise, they're pretty cool. Not the most stylish shoes out there (when you're looking for ballet flats), but they're nice looking for what they are. I wanted a little toe room and found the 7 was better than the 6.5, which is my usual dress shoe size.

I have these shoes in the very pretty periwinkle blue color -- Lavender Lustre. When I first put them on, they were (and still are) very comfortable. However, I do find that after a few hours, my feet begin to ache while wearing them. I have bunions and live in a house with tile flooring, so that may be why. They are nice-looking, especially with some knee-length running tights and a cute top, but I don't find them as versatile as some other reviewers. I would give them 3 1/2 stars if I could. Love the color.

Love the red color. The shoe fit like a glove, but my toes were all the way at the end. I have two pairs of Merrells and this one seemed 1/2 size small. The heel was a great fit.

These shoes are very light, great if you're in the water; grippy soles, and the strap adjusts with velcro. A minor complaint is that the strap material can create a blister on the top of your foot just because it's nylon. The toebox was generously proportioned, and they are true to size.

Lightweight, comfortable shoe, accomodates orthotics and feel cool. Not much support but still a good choice for a medium amount of walking. I have bunions and high arches and ordered a half size up which is almost too roomy, but my regular size was a little snug.

Wore these daily on a three-week trip through Italy, Turkey and Greece. Nary a sore spot or blister, and they looked cute with shorts, skirts and cropped pants. I have worn them out, and they did get stinky toward the end. Getting another pair, I like them so much!

These shoes serve their purpose as minimal footwear. I have been wearing them for about one month, and noticed pain in my foot and leg muscles initially but now they feel totally comfortable. If you are new to minimal footwear, be prepared for a transition that may include some discomfort at first. My only gripe, and it is a superficial one, is that they look like water socks, which in my opinion are not terribly attractive.

I purchased the shoes hoping to wear them on a recent trip to Universal Studios in Orlando where I knew I would be walking a lot. While these are cute, lightweight shoes with easy on, easy off Velcro tabs, I found them to be just a bit short in the toe box of the right foot as my second toe is slightly longer than the first. Had I purchased a half size larger than my true size, I'm afraid the left shoe would have been too large. There was plenty of room in the width with no pinching or rubbing. I doubt I'll be able to do any running in these shoes, but they should be fine for wearing to run errands or on casual dress days at work.

Incredibly light weight, very comfy. My feet sweat a lot & when I was wearing them indoors (to make sure size was right) they felt very clammy. Once I wore them outside walking around town they felt much better. Needed a single shoe for travel to go from alpine hiking to beach to big city and casual to dressy. These should fit the bill. Giving 4 stars because of clammy-ness when wearing indoors.

Well, I love these little shoes, but the sizing seems inconsistent. The acacia 10's were way too big, but another color in size 10 fit fine. I ordered the 9 1/2 in acacia, but they were a little too small. Sigh. Sorry to have to send them back.
