These are incredibly comfortable even if they appear to have no support. They truly are just like a glove.

Love the shoes! Like many other reviews once you put them on these are the go to shoes for just about everything. No break in time. Cute and somewhat stylish.

This is a great shoe. I received the shoe, wore it to work and out for the evening. It is comfortable and true to size.

These shoes are very cute and comfortable (I have them in black) and stretch to conform to your foot...which has been helpful to me through the last several months of my pregnancy. I did have to put heel cups in because the height in the back caused them to rub my ankle bones, but that might just be me because I have that problem with a lot of shoes.

Oh my. I am in barefoot-style heaven. I've had Vibram Five Fingers for years, and then I found out about these. Excellent minimal shoes but with some features that totally take them to another level. First, I can wear them to work without causing a ruckus! I constantly get comments when I wear my VFFs on the street and the trails, and I'm generally okay with that, but they just won't work at work. But here's where these excel: with the VFFs, I get rocks stuck between the toes, and when it's wet, the flat soles between the toes don't stop the water from getting in. Since these are more traditional-style soles, these are better in damp conditions and for walking in shallow puddles, and my toes are better protected from debris. As for sizing, I wear an 8-8.5 generally (although a 41 in VFFs due to funny toe sizes), and the 8.5 fits my wide forefoot and average heel perfectly. The slight elastic around the heel is very comfortable and doesn't rub. Also, in the image for the black shoes, it almost looks like there's brown suede trim, but it's actually smooth black leather. I am ordering another pair, and a pair of the Barefoot Pace Gloves!

When I tried these shoes on at home, I thought they were too big. Luckily, I kept them and wore them to work. (I wear a 10, and ordered these in 10) They did not feel too big once I was out and about. There is plenty of room in the toe box for my toes to spread as I walk. I was surprised to feel some arch support. The shoes didn't feel strange at all, and I have not noticed any change in my form or stride. They are really cute, and the solid black is fine for me to wear to the office. They are very comfortable as well. I wore them right away with no socks.

Seemed to run small - needed a half a size up. I'm usually an 8 1/2, but my toe hit the front when walking - so I had to take advantage of Zappos' free return shipping!

I love these shoes because they can be worn without socks. They are very comfortable but they do run a little big. I would maybe try a half size smaller than you usually get. I got a size 9, my usual size, and they are a little roomy but wearable. I got the black ones and you could even wear them to work as maryjanes. Overall great shoe!

I usually wear a Women's size 11 wide, so I bought these Merrell Barefoot Pure Glove lavender women's shoes in size 11M (Merrell doesn't make wide shoe sizes) based on other reviews that mentioned them feeling wider than marked. The reviews were right! These shoes fit just barely large enough in length (just a little wiggle room for toes), but they are easily wide enough for my big flat, wide feet. Yay! I'll be wearing them everywhere, for a little while, at least. I'm afraid, however, that the flimsy materials (the heel feels like it's made of thin cardboard) aren't going to hold up for very long. I'll try to update my review after a couple of months with a final opinion.

I really wanted to love these shoes but I have to say they're not very comfortable. I've worn Merrell shoes for many years and generally love them. My foot seems fit slightly at an angle within the shoe. Also the toe area is really, really roomy but my toe hits the end. I think they look great but I only wear them if I don't have a lot of walking to do.

This is by far the oddest shoe I have ever tried on. Let me re-phrase this. It's the oddest shoe I have ever tried on from Zappos. It has no arch support and the toe box is beyond weird.

Love them! Absolutely, they are light and comfortable. Look great and you can wear them all the time and toss them at the washer machine.

These shoes are awesome. They are perfect for walking my cattle dog (we have to walk really fast for him to notice that he got exercise). Great on grass, dirt, or pavement. Haven't tried them in water yet. I can feel myself using more leg and back muscles since I'm "barefoot." My only complaint is that they make my feet sweat.

Love these shoes, owned for about a month now. Super comfortable. I'm so used to minimalist shoes/barefoot now that regular shoes bother me.

I bought these shoes to wear on a trip to Europe. Kept them on inflight as well as on the ground, with socks and without and found them extremely comfortable. Great for walking on cobblestone streets and sidewalks. Light weight. True, the arch support could be better but the way the toe box and sole is made more than makes up for the lack of arch support on my foot. The toe box seems to slightly separate the toes which prevents blisters and helps keep your feet dry. The adjustable velcro strap worked well. The red is not as bright as I would have liked and the trim looks grey, rather than black. I would buy this in other colors and highly recommend it for people with slightly wider, more square shaped feet. I normally wear an 8.5 B and have a slightly higher arch than most.

Unlike other folks, I am buying a 2nd pair for a larger size. After wearing my first pair at size 8 for a month, I found the area where the leather toe and the fabric met became rough and scratched into my skin... and for some reason my toes were now touching the tip. I did wash them once and air dry so that might have contributed to the problem. I worn them in Iceland for hiking as an alternative to hiking boots and they functioned perfectly over lava, volcanic rocks, sand amazingly. No more heavy, hot boots for me. Reordering in a half-size larger and hoping for the best.

Love the shoe but ordered wrong size. Just got the new pair today and they fit perfectly. Now I know that in this shoe I'm an 8 and a half. Thanks Zappos.

These are the most comfortable and cute shoes that I ever owned, and this is my second pair. Zappos made it very easy when returning a different pair of shoes. I would buy from them again.

Rarely do I write a review, but this shoe warrants the time. I have the vibram 5-fingers but wanted something a little more aesthetically pleasing. These are really cute shoes on and very comfortable. I just came in from a rain storm and they will be ready to go in the morning. I never would have chosen this color...I did because it was on sale. The grey and yellow/green are a terrific combination. I've actually had a couple of strangers comment on my cute shoes. Buy them.

A great shoe! I was having terrible leg cramps while [heavy] gardening. Wearing the Pure Glove allowed my feet to take up some of the strain - Bingo! no more leg cramps!

Love these shoes. I have plantar fasciitis and decided to see if switching to barefoot soles would help...the results are amazing. Two days after I bought these I spent 4 days in DC and put many many miles on these. Usually by the end of day one in DC I am hobbling in pain but had no pf issues. I took 5 pairs of shoes on that trip because I didn't know if these would really work and didn't wear a single other pair except for the ones I wore to the wedding (these didn't exactly go with my formal dress). I've since bought 3 additional Merrell Barefoot shoes including these in yellow.

I wasn't sure about how these shoes would fit but now that I have had them for over a week, they fit fine. No breaking in period at all and for me they provide a perfect arch support. My feet do not hurt while wearing them or after. I have worn them while walking on rocks and on city pavement and have had no problems with the stability and comfort of the shoe. cute shoes too. I have been able to wear them with a maxi-dress, jeans and capris.

I've had these for about a year and I love them. I wear them at work, for moderate amounts of city walking and for light hiking. They are good for all of these purposes. I don't like them as much for all-day sightseeing on concrete sidewalks and they're fine for the first half of the day, but after a few hours I start wanting something more padded. However, on natural terrain, they're comfortable for miles and miles. In my view, they have a superbly designed minimalist footbed. There is a tiny bit of arch support and cushioning in the right places and zero heel-to-to drop, which I love. I prefer to wear them with socks because in warm weather they get a little sticky without socks. Regarding their sizing, they are true to size but when I tried them on in the store, they felt very wide. I was worried this might cause problems. But now I think they are just designed to give your toes a lot of space, which really adds to the comfort level.

I'm older (62) and am just realizing how important shoes can be to one's overall sense of well being. My daughter recommended barefoot as I have knee and lower back problems (thanks to hard clogs). I love these and my pains are subsiding. They look fine for my office job.

These shoes are very comfortable and lightweight. Also, they are true to size. Some reviews say that there is no arch support, however, I think they're pretty supportive for a low profile barefoot type shoe.
