These shoes are literally the best shoes I've ever had. They took a little getting used to, but now that I'm used to them they feel fantastic. Obviously they're not very warm, but that's to be expected. They also have no arch support, but that's the whole point of the shoe: to feel like you're walking around in bare feet. Great shoes, highly recommended.

Simply the best running shoe for trail running! These are my second pair that I bought. I tried the New Balance minimus, in the attempt to try something new - but was rewarded with blisters on my ankles! I immediately rebought the Merrell's the next day and ditched the other shoes at a 2nd hand store! I will no longer buy any other trailing running shoe. Now about the fit - perfect for wide footers, even those with slightly fallen arches. They run true to size - I usually get a size up on shoes since I have wider feet - not with these. Wear life - my last pair lasted me a year of running trails exclusively approximately 175mi. by then the tread was worn and the insides were nasty.

Mostly using these for everyday walking; use Kinvaras and Vibram 5-fingers for running. Absolutely love these Trail Gloves.

Great shoe. Take it easy at first. Your calves will really feel it and get strong super fast. It's unbeleivable how much less pain you knees feel when you wear these shoes and run correctly. They are really great. Will definitely be a lifetime customer. Thanks Merrell!

Great minimalist shoe. Fits snug. I wear size 10 mens for running shoes and I wear a size 10 in this shoe. Because of the design, it fits snug around the arch but has a wide toe box. I run in the shoe 4-5 times a week and it makes my feet and lower legs work harder. Feels very odd at first running in these shoes but soon is as natural as can be.

Great comfort, agree with others on width in toe box (maybe a little too wide). Cool, breathable even her in FL. Only wearing them around for now, not for working out - yet.

I broke these in on a trip to Disneyland with the family. There was no small amount of walking and standing in lines, and these shoes were great. Overall the shoes were very comfortable. They do have less padding in the soles then your feet are probably used to, but once I've gotten used to them they are easily one of my favorites.

I love my Merrells! They are an excellent fit and great for running/walking out on the country roads around my home. I have a very straight heel to toe stride when walking and tend to run on the balls of my feet. Either way, these shoes support my whole foot while giving me a feeling of real traction and a barefoot feel.

This shoe is comfortable enough to wear without socks all day. It feels like a moccasin and it really fits like a glove. There is plenty of toe room enough to wiggle them and not really feel constrained and it is a very flexible shoe. If you are looking for support and cushion, these are not the shoes for you. They are designed to allow your foot to act as if it was barefoot. It's a minimalist running shoe. It is a great shoe if you are trying to get into that style running. I really like it and they look great.

Not my most favorite shoe - they might not be the best trail running shoe for a guy weighing in at 230. Positive: Ankles won't roll due to the very low center of gravity. This is definitely a trail shoe and I wouldn't recommend using this shoe on pavement - there is sufficient padding for soft ground, but not nearly enough for pavement. Negs: very little arch support. I've since replaced the shoes with Saucony Kinvara TR.

Great shoes. I owned the yellow pair before this pair and this choice was a no brainer. Comfortable as hell (if hell were the most comfortable thing you could ever achieve in any form of existence). I wear them at home, lounging around, going for walks, going for runs, work (warehouse style environment) contracting, you name it. Great color, great fit, great buy. Thanks Merrell.

My gene pool gifted me with the body of a man, but unfortunately feet the feet of a duck. This has cause my life to be an endless search of shoes that fit, but after buying these shoes I might have to re-evaluate what might be the next chapter. Yes. These shoes fit. Not only do they fit, they are super light and extremely comfy, so if you are looking for a pair of shoes to walk, run och just skip around in with your duck feet these might be your best option. They might not be fit for a gala night with foreign diplomats, or cold winters on the Russian tundra but hey, I don't really care. My life has a new meaning now. Oh yes, you duck footed people out there, realize the these in wide will make your shoes fit, so you don't need to get them in size 14 if you really are 11. They will actually fit so try a size smaller, loosen up the laces and try it out.

Possibly my new favorite shoe! Great for any leisure activity. I wear during Insanity workouts and they are far better that crosstrainers. Excellent!

Believe the hype. This is one of the most solid, well-made, and cool-looking shoes I have owned. I scoured the internet looking to find a perfect everyday shoe, and the Merrell Barefoot Trail Glove kept coming up on all the lists of best shoes. Now, I see why. The shoe really does fit like a glove. The shoe does feel like you are not wearing anything. And, the traction is absolutely the coolest feature I have ever had on a shoe. I feel like I could run on a sheet of ice! Without a doubt the best shoe I have owned. Well worth the dough! P.S.- The fact that everyone has said this has no arch support is a great thing. It doesn't feel like an arch support is built into the shoe. Instead the shoe has an anatomical groove on the side that support the medial part of the foot, allowing for natural support. Far superior to a fake arch support.

I really like this shoe. I've previously run in the New Balance Minimus MT20. I liked that shoe as well but I felt they took a couple steps back with the MT20v2 where it is too tight in the toe box. The Trail Glove has nice roomy toe box. I also like the tension system through the upper foot. All in all a very good shoe for the trail. Not a fan of the road with these shoes. Last note, order your normal shoe size. I do wear these with very thin socks.

Great shoe. Takes some time getting your calfs used to them when going from standard running shoes to these as they make you into a neutral or toe striker. I've had them for a year. The roomy toe box was different but your foot adjusts to them really fast. After about a year of walking, running and some insanity workouts, the sole is wearing down around the ball of the foot. My Puppy Ate the material off the top of the backs of the shoe, but they are still holding together with no issues. Wore them on a 10 Mile mountain hike over 3 peaks with 2700 elevation gain last week. They were great. Allowed my foot to wrap around the granite. Had to watch out for roots and sharp peaked stone as this pushes right through the sole. I wore socks and didn't get a single blister, though my big toe started to feel like it was getting a hotspot on the bottom of it during the straight decent on bald granite surfaces the last mile.
When these are totally worn out I will buy another pair.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. No kidding. They are feather light, breathe very well, and fit like a second skin while having plenty of room up front for my fat Fred Flintstone toes. I am not using them specifically for trail running, but for everyday wear. With most other shoes I've worn, my biggest complaints have been that they don't leave enough room in the toe box and they don't breathe well, resulting in cramped, hot, and generally unhappy feet. These Merrells breathe the best of any shoe I've owned (not counting flip flops), and the only other shoes that have rivaled the roominess of the toe box were Keens (shoes not sandals). But the Keens felt very sloppy around the arch, instep, and heel pocket. Plus the Keens didn't breathe nearly as well. These Merrells feel very much like being barefoot, but with a protective skin on the soles of your feet. They take a little getting used to, with the minimal sole and zero lift. If you're a heel stomper when you walk, or a hard heel striker when you run, you'll probably notice right away that's not going to work so well. You'll notice in general that you feel the contours of the ground more, which I really like. There's still plenty of protection for the soles of your feet. After wearing these all day you can tell your feet have been doing work. It's very similar to the feeling you get after walking or running on a sandy beach for a while. I take the slight muscle soreness as a good sign that the shoe is letting my foot move naturally as I go about my day. I expect the soreness will fade as my feet get stronger. The caveat here, which Merrell puts all over the packaging, is to go easy if this is your first barefoot shoe. Don't just switch from your traditional trail runners into these and expect you can do the same distance and pace. Start off very conservatively to avoid injury.

This is an excellent shoe. When I purchased these a few months ago I was a stranger to the barefoot style shoe. I never liked the aesthetics of the "five finger" shoes. These caught my attention and I decided to give them a try. I have been more than impressed with these. I have worn these to the gym, on the treadmill, on the trails, on the road, and even white-water rafting and each time they have performed better than expected. I was pleased with how well they drained after being fully submerged underwater. I also appreciate how the middle of the shoe contours nicely to my arch, providing great support. Keep in mind, your calves will be sore after your first run in these. Barefoot shoes like this force you to run on the balls of your feet, utilizing you leg muscles much more. This is not a downside for me though, running now feels more natural than ever. Excellent shoe.

These are the best! Vibram 5 Fingers are good, but difficult to put on. These have Vibram soles and are the most comfortable shoes that I own.
