I have had two or three pairs of archipelago boots, and I love them because they are super comfortable and I think they're stylish. I have the exact same boots in black that I wear every day all winter long because they're so comfortable and they go with everything, so I decided to add some navy ones. Unfortunately I had to return these because of a quality control issue. These were not comfortable because where the inner part of the insole meets the side of the shoe there is a gap and a sharp edge on the insole that was cutting into my arch. My black ones don't have that gap and the insole perfectly meets the side of the shoe. I was very disappointed because these boots were so cute in the blue. It's sad that quality has suffered in so many familiar items these days.

The top of the zipper rubbed my leg leaving a mark that hurt. I have another pair in purple suede that did not do that.

I purchased the boot today and was just now reading the reviews. Many of the writings go back to 2011-2012 and 2015. I now fear the boots are going to be dry rotten and already deteriorated simply by the age of the boot when they come in. For the price , I am already somewhat skeptical about the purchase and why would Zappos not take a boot that age out of its catalog or at least note the year the boot was put on line and warn customers that the materials could be compromised due to storage, aging, breakdown of the materials and / or glue? PS : hard to answer the star rating at this point so ignore the 2 star rating.

The poor overall rating is for this color of the boot. The fit is perfect - just like others of this same boot I've enjoyed in the past. The material on previous pairs has been decently suede-like (it's fake but sometimes fake is good) but the material for the navy color, this year anyway, is shiny without the depth or nap of the material I've seen on the black version. It doesn't look at all like suede.

The fit for this shoe was fine but the material is too flimsy to be considered even a slightly supportive shoe. I love the style but the material is, again, too light weight to even feel like you are wearing a bootie. I am returning them and I can't justify buying the brand again, even though I love many of their styles.

Ending up donating them because they were uncomfortable. Wore around the house, seemed ok. Wore them outside for several hours and really hurt my third and fourth toes. Seemed my foot slid forward as I was wearing for a while and rubbed a lot. Hope whomever gets the donation has better luck with them. Seems most others love them so that’s good!

i own 3 pairs. At first i LOVED them--then ALL 3 pairs had the upper split from the sole below the zipper. Some separated from the sole at various places around the upper. And they are not repairable. Maybe they are only meant to last about a year. I wish they were perfect. They were my favorite shoes, until they weren't.

Way too small in the foot, the short style fit great at this size- kept those.

I have several pairs of these in different colors which I have bought over the last couple of years. I though purple would be a fun addition - and was very disappointed that the sizing/factory/whatever seemed to have changed The others still fit fine, even a little large - these, same size were much smaller.

I've never had a shoe on that fit like this one and it wasn't happy for my foot. The arch was very high and hard and the shoe was wider and overall larger than expected based on the size.

As a vegan, I was pleased to see these Arcopedico boots. That is, until I checked out Arcopedico's other boots that feature vealskin insoles. Really, the skins of slaughtered baby calves is a feature? There is something about a company gainfully exploiting the market of people who are compassionate to animals yet sell the cruelest, most vile products possible. Yes, these boots are vegan, as they are cleverly marketed, but Arcopedico is not a company that shares no cruelty as a value. Personally, I prefer companies that walk their talk in all their products and put compassion about profits. Cosmetic companies do it. And other shoe companies do it, so I am looking elsewhere.

I like the idea of buying "vegan" shoes, but have yet to find a pair that works for me. Perhaps this is because I've had several foot/ankle injuries and what I need from a shoe is more than it was when I was 20. Fit: I ordered 10/41, which is my standard size. I wear that in 90% of the shoes I buy. If it helps, I've bought larger sizes in some non-US brands and in some running shoes. The arch fit in the right place and seemed like it'd offer decent support, but the shoe was very short. My toes pressed the fabric out. I would've thought it was a size 9! Fit/construction: Because of the material the rest of the shoe lacks structure so it felt like it didn't fit across the foot either. My foot seemed to press out to the outside causing more discomfort. I can only assume this is a problem with "vegan" materials. It's a very soft, sock like material even more flimsy than some nylon shoe material I've worn. FYI, I have high arches (which my chiropractor adjusts because they "fall") so support is important to me.

I have already owned a pair of these same boots in the same color + size. Unfortunately, the 'TPR outsole features a gel heel insert for extra shock absorption' and *this sole on both the right boot and the left boot completely disintegrated over time. Pieces were actually falling off!

I really wanted to love these booties, and I did love the color! The fabric of the upper felt thin and cheap and the cut allowed the bootie to sag around the ankle. Not in a fashionable slouch kind of way. The sole is made of a shiny black foam that had no grip on my hardwood floors. I can imagine on wet sidewalks it would not offer much traction. Back they went… onward goes my search for fashionable booties under $150.

The black suede looks like cocoa brown, a lovely color but the boot upper does not match the rubber sole, and looks weird with black. Giving it one star because of the odd color that was advertised as black.
