Fits tighter than the non Gore-Tex version. About a 1/2 size too small (I wear 13).
Developed a squeak in the left heel and a noticeable crookedness for lack of a better term. The left shoe feels like the sole is no longer flat and rolls outward when walking. This occurred out of the blue.
I only wear these when it rains, to walk across grass into work. The soles have barely any wear at all yet I can not continue to wear them. A shame. I also have the regular non waterproof Drifters and they are holding up just fine on non-rainy days and there are MANY more non-rainy days.
I believe I have a defective pair of Gore-Tex shoes. I have owned them well past the warranty period but they are hardly "used" since I only wear them when it rains.

I liked them over all, but after trying two pair, the inside by the heal wore a hole on both shoes much faster then the outsides/soles of the shoe wore out. I thought at first it was an issue with a slightly incorrect size - but it's happening a second time with a better fit.

Waste of money. Very comfortable for about two months then sole just started to collapse on one side and my foot/ankle wanted to roll out. Ankle pain when I wear them due to sole collapsing. Complete waste of money.
I normally wear 13 but these run very small. Needed to go up to a 14.

These shoes are NOT WATERPROOF. I have had many goretex hiking shoes and these are by far the most comfortable. It is like hiking on clouds... until it rains. Water comes right in through the toes. They held up for a couple months, but now are worthless if you plan on keeping your feet dry and healthy. Really bummed, because they feel amazing other than that. Very surprised that a company as reputable as Patagonia would put out a product that fails this quickly. Comfort is at 3 stars due to the discomfort of having wet feet!

I purchased these shoes based on the quality of reviews, the comfort of the fit and the fact that they were waterproof. While I do use these for light hiking, I primarily used these as my daily footwear to walk my lab. I need a shoe that can withstand the elements since I'm out there every morning and evening, rain or shine. These shoes held up for a while but after about 10 months, the right shoe started to fill with water every time it rained. I have owned many Gore-Tex shoes and these are the first to have ever failed so spectacularly. I generally like Patagonia products, but I doubt I will purchase another pair of shoes from them.

These shoes developed construction and quality deficiencies within 20 days of use. Interior fabric in heel wore through on one shoe at the material seam and was beginning to do the same on the other. In the last 4 years I have experienced similar problems with other brands, in my opinion, poor design, inferior materials, and not made in the USA. Recommend that the company, for the cost build a shoe that will last as long as leather lined hiking shoes do.
