Gorgeous boot, well made and comfortable. I'm returning because the calf on these is really big, I was swimming in them.

Beautiful boot, but the calf was too tight. The circumference - it's exactly 15" and has very little give. It would probably stretch out over time; however, I found the back zipper to be extremely difficult so I decided to exchange them for the Corso Como Rhondas, which are fabulous. If you have larger, more muscular calves make sure you measure first!

In agreement with others who commented on the difficulty with the zipper - even with no leg in the boot!

Pretty boots, but were the wrong shape for me. They have an exaggerated calf shape. Too bad, because they fit nicely in the foot bed and look great otherwise. Would probably work well for someone with a larger calf.

Very sad to have to return these. They are beautiful, but I don't like how tall they are - I can feel the top rim of the back of the boot rubbing on the back of my leg, right above the knee, when I walk! Plus, there is a large snap right at the top of the back that you can feel too. If they were an inch or two lower, no snap, and if the zipper were on the side rather than the back, then I could give them 5 stars.

Literally "to the knee" and difficult to bend and sit in. Hardware seems cheap, every time I zip feels like it'll break. Too bad, great style. Going back.

I'm not a black boots type of girl, but I really need a good pair. I wanted something simple and classy, but not dressy. These seemed perfect, but after I got them today, I'd say they're almost too simple, and they're clunkier than I expected. I'm 5'10" and got a 9.5. At about 2 inches below my knees, I think they're a bit too tall. (I wasn't looking for knee-highs, so my fault for not reading the specs properly.) I have pretty thin legs, and these fit nicely with skinny jeans tucked in. Won't be much room for muscular calves or bulky jeans. They're not bad, they just don't have much style to them. The toe shape looks a little out of date - circa 1998. They kind of resemble rain boots. Might just be that I don't really like black boots, but there's my two cents!

When my boots came, I loved everything about them except, the finish looked like it had been put on my an 8 year old. I was so disappointed, as they are exactly what I've been looking for. Zappos sent me another pair, and they had the same lousy workmanship. The finish, which looked like liquid shoe polish that was slightly darker than the leather, was uneven and streaky. I don't think I'm overly fussy, but for a pair of expensive boots. I expect better quality that this.

Ugh, no gussets in this boot. Unless you have larger calves beware. Mine are very athletic and these boots had me swimming in them. Very sad. Otherwise a nice boot.

Beautiful leather, but the zipper sticks horribly. These boots are also very high, so high they reached my kneecaps, making for an uncomfortable fit. Too bad, since they are otherwise sleek and gorgeous.

Unfortunately, I was unimpressed with these boots. It was definitely wide, especially around the ankle. The zipper didn't work well at all. Overall, it just didn't look as nice as I was hoping for. The fit was a bit big as well.

I agree that the zipper is impossible to zip up. Returning them; too bad, because they look great and seem like great quality.

These boots were very disappointing. Unless you have very skinny calves, these boots are too slim to zip up. I do not have large calves by any means but I could zip these boots.

I was disappointed in the quality and styling of this boot. The zipper was too stiff to operate and looked bulky and cheap. The leather seemed stiff and plastic looking.

These boots look nice on-line, but not when you get them. Just like everyone else said, the zipper is very hard to pull down, very hard. I literally had to pull it down hard. These boots are not of good quality and the calf is too wide, so overall, they look bulky. No way! Beware...not cute. They are not worth the price.

Although this is for a wider calf it needs about another inch midway up to allow it to zip closed. Bummer, as I liked them a lot.

The calf is very large. A number of other reviewers said this, but I thought they would fit me well because I'm a runner so I have large calves. They are very pretty boots but unfortunately I'm going to have to return them.
