These are great boots. There\'s room to tuck skinny jeans in, but they\'re not too roomy in the calf when wearing with just skirts\/dresses. I usually wear 7.5-8 and the 7.5 are perfect.

My wife loves these and although we had to send the original pair back because it was too big, the smaller size fit perfect! My wife looked at all the other boots and was only interested in this pair!

Great rider boots! Leather is premium and heel height is perfect for a rider style boot. The calf is not huge like some boots so it\'s a nice boot for women with small calves. I had to go down a whole size in them.

This is the second pair of Franco Sarto boots I\'ve owned. Just as with the first, this pair is beautiful and comfortable once they are broken in. As often with leather boots, they needed a couple of days to soften and fit. Of course there was a blister on the back of my heel where the zipper start. But all that is gone now and I wear these babies everywhere. Nice tread so no slipping, looks great with skirts or leggings. I have muscular calf muscles and had no problem with sizing.

Luxurious, high-quality leather, extremely comfortable boot. I purchased these stylish and sensible boots for a trip to New York City, where I walked no less than 6-10 miles every day, 6 days in a row. These boots kept my feet dry in the rain and didn't overheat on a hot day. I have athletic/muscular calves (15") so the boots fit snug, but not tight. My only warning is the zipper is very difficult at first, (almost impossible) but with some careful manipulation it loosens up. Happy shopping!

These boots are great! I have high arches and the last two boots I tried (Cole Haan Air Oleanna and Frye Melissa Button) I could barely get on, but these are really easy to get on and are super comfortable. I have somewhat big calves (14.5") and the size 9 fits perfectly - enough room for my skinny jeans but still form fitting. Definitely recommend.

I've just got this boots. I love them so much! It's very comfortable and fits so well. It fits exactly size I have. Leather is very good quality! I got different boots before but it didn't fit me. I made exchange for these riding boots by late evening and got them next day afternoon already. Wow! I've never gotten any order so fast before! Thank you Zappos team! Keep it up!

These boots are great! I searched for the perfect black riding boots for the past 2 Fall-Winter seasons with no luck, until I found these. They are elegant and very light, perfect for long walks. Love them! I have very narrow calves, even though I'm a runner, and they are a bit big on me, but not as big as others I've tried on.

These boots are fabulous! Just got them in the mail today. They are very chic and make my feet look very slender. I normally order size 10's but after reading some reviews I sized down to a 9 1/2, and I am glad I did. The only con about these boots are it took me a while to get the zipper to zip over my heel. I can only wear these with skinny jeans, otherwise the excess material will make it hard to get the zipper to zip.

I think these boots look great, and they run true to size, but the zipper is not great at all. Just as the other readers have commented. I kept them anyway.

I love this boot. I got it in the mail today and I fell in love with it. I got the black and the color is beautiful and sleek. The boot style is also wonderful. I was a little worried that it would be to high for my 5'3" height, but it came right below my knees, which was what I was looking for. I usually wear a size 7 but after reading reviews, I did get a half size smaller and I'm glad I did. All that praise being said...I have to return them because they do not fit around my super athletic calves. I'm super bummed because I love these boots, but they just wouldn't zip up! For reference -- I have 15.5" calf circumference, not including extra space for leggings and jeans. So bummer, they're going back. Also the boots zip up in the back which I presume might get a little painful on the heel/ankle after awhile. So take that into account when you're sizing because you may want to put on socks or something. Good luck!

Beautiful boot and I was so excited to get them but... the previous reviews that stated the boots ran small was absolutely correct. I'll go up a half size and hope they fit this time.

BEST RIDING BOOT I've found all season! Very comfortable and can be dressed up or down. My only complaint about the boot is the zipper gets caught occasionally on the leather flap inside. I was hesitant because of the price, but they're my favorite shoe purchase this year!

Saw these at another store but they had run out of black. After trying on brown, I knew these were what I had been looking for. I wanted no-frills, sleek black flats that I could wear to work with a skirt or over jeans. These boots showed up on my doorstep the next day. I was worried I'd have to send them back because the zipper on the right boot was really tough. My husband pulled it up and down many times and now it works without a glitch. Thank you Zappos!

These are beautiful boots; however, zipper location back of the boot caused me to send back. They were difficult to zip and perhaps with time would have loosened up but I didn't feel like wrestling with them until then.

These are not for a girl with slim calves, they look ridiculous! If people are saying they were hard to zip I simply cannot imagine how so; I can fit my entire hand in with my leg. They are so nice it's a shame.

These boots are perfect in looks and fit, but the zippers are really difficult to pull up and down. I am not sure whether I will return the boots or not. I am wondering whether it's just this pair.

A pretty boot with a gorgeous almond toe. Felt 1/2 size larger than marked (and I even have wide feet!). Only problem is the lining grips my jeans when tucked in and causes them to ride up and bunch at the knees. Not cute! Sent them back and splurged for the fryes.

There great, nice and comfortable. The only issue I have is the zipper is difficult to pull up. It loosens more as you wear them more. Overall a great buy.

Really like the look of this boot. I ordered a half size up since I have wider feet. Seems to have worked out. The zipper is really hard to pull up and down. I looked online for advice and people said to use a crayon on the zipper teeth. It really worked! Now I will use the crayon on the zipper as soon as it starts to get sticky again. Otherwise, a great boot!

Hoping it would fit my slender calf but it did not! It is wide at the top of the boot. Pretty color and nice quality!

A really nice, sleek black boot. The only problem is the zipper along the back is a little weird and doesn't lay as flat as I think it should. I got a size 8 and I usually run between 8-8.5. It was a good fit. Highly recommend if you don't mind the zip placement.
