Wonderfully warm and comfortable mule and perfect for cold climates. Fit and arch support are just right.

Very comfortable shoes and true to size. The leather is thick and sturdy, yet forms quick and comfortably to my feet. I wear the shearling lined mules with or whithout socks. I have a few pairs of the harness mule and all heights of the harness boots. I receive compliments every time I wear a pair. I wear jeans every day, if I want to dress them up; I put on my Fryes!

I love these! I have big calves so finding boots that fit can be a challenge. Also, I live in Alaska, so it is customary to take your shoes off when entering someone's home. These make it easy! They seemed to run a bit large, but if you wear socks that might not make a difference. They are also wide, which is a bonus.

Frye Belted Mules - I love them. I usually wear an 8, but read the reviews and ordered 7 1/2, which fit perfect. They're a little heavy and take a little getting used to. But being from Key West, I'm not used to wearing real shoes.

Frye Mule - Exactly as you'd expect Frye to be...but the added bonus of it's slip on/slip off styling makes this perfect for those of us who prefer to kick our shoes off...Love them!

Way too big! I loved the look of this mule, however if you have somewhat narrow feet they would be too wide. I tried to take up some of the room with my orthotic, but they would just flip and flop around, too bad, they're a nice looking shoe. Narrow though the fore foot and wide around the instep and the heel was very loose.

Frye Continues Quality Workmanship - These mules are a great compromise to the boots of the same style. Heavy, but not as heavy as the boots. Some serious kick-butt Fryes in terms of style, colors, and fit (I wear a size 10 women shoe in Frye). Well worth the money!

Not for my feet. I was soo looking forward to see my beautiful antique mules...That was the Up...The Down, well too big, they looked like giant's boots, also I found them too masculine for my taste, And believe me, I own a tie and my room is blue. Sorry, but I had to return them. Zappos as wonderful as always...A wonderful return policy. I adore this company!

Very well made - I received my boots about a month ago and have actually been looking forward to the cooler weather so I can wear them. I've worn them twice so far and love them. They are very well made so a little heavy but not in a bad way. I took the other reviewers’ advice and ordered half a size smaller and they fit perfectly. They look great with jeans!! Love them!

AWESOME FRYE HARNESS MULE!!! I just received my first pair of Frye's...they are so much fun!!! I never thought that the Harness Boot or this kind of Mule would ever be in style again...and my daughters are sure that I have truly lost my mind...but, I won't let them touch these or they will be gone like all of the other shoes that they didn't like!!! These are mine...all mine...and I don't intend to share!!! The only thing that you should be aware of is that they DO run about a 1/2 size big!!! I did have to return my normal size 10 for a 9-1/2.

I simply love these shoes!!! I ordered these shoes one half size smaller than I normally wear and they fit perfectly. I love them and they are so comfortable I'd like to be able to wear them to bed. They are very stylish and I've received many compliments on them.

A classic! Ahhh.... it was worth the wait for my backordered size. Had invested in a pair of Frye boots several years back so I had no hesitation about the mules. They're a pair of shoes that you just know will look great and wear well for years to come... classics!

Cool mule - I love the look and feel of the shoe but if you wear them all day and have high arches, your feet might get tired.

Citygirl turned countrygirl - I am by no means a 20 something woman...more like a young 50-something who loves great looking clothes and shoes and bags. I had a pair of Frye boots when I was a college student in the 1970's and loved them. Years past, kids grew up and was beginning to feel the tug of wanting another pair of Frye's. Was originally inclined to get a pair of boots and tried on various pairs in different stores but the problem was that the shaft(?) was too wide for my leg and did not look right under a pant leg. Did not not about the mule until I looked at Zappos.com but knew immediately that it was for me. Ordered my usual shoe size even though some of the reviews stated that going down half a size made for the perfect fit. Well, I did have to return them and although Zappos did not initially have the size I needed they e-mailed me when they got a pair in and received them almost before I could exhale. The mules were comfortable right from the start and although some reviews stated that they were more inclined to use them during warm weather I have been wearing them with lightweight socks here in New Jersey and my feet have stayed pretty warm. Wore them all day the first time I put them on to do some major Christmas shopping and was very comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone who may not want the boot and may also want more versatility that the mule offers. Wouldn't it be great if Frye made handbags too? Zappos is a great site as I knew from a previous purchase. I was impressed with the speed with which they sent out their product and also with their "promise" to e-mail you as soon as a size/color/style became available.

Frye Belted Harness Mule - This is probably the best shoe I've ever owned. I ordered it yesterday morning, and received it THIS morning! Merry Christmas to me! I looked at several different harness boots, but none came close to the look and style of this mule. I usually wear a size 11 or even a 10 1/2, and after reading the reviews about the 1/2 sz. variance, I ordered the sz. 10. Right on target!! The mule does seem a bit tight across the toes, but, they are brand new, and leather stretches. Once I break them in, they'll fit like a glove! I never owned a pair of brown shoes, and I needed a pair to go with my new outfit that I bought as a reward for losing 25 lbs. The jeans are low-rise, boot cut. These shoes totally make the outfit, and I must say- I look HOT!! My husband definitely agrees he made a good investment!!

Frye Harness Mules - I was happy to find these shoes, that I originally found in Sundance Catalog - for not only a lower price, but with free S&H. They are comfortable and unique in their look and design.

Great Looking!! I saw these shoes in a store that didn't have my size and I just had to find them! I wish I would have read the reviews first because they do run a bit large. However, wearing thicker socks work and make them a bit more comfortable. It's no wonder they last a long time, they are very heavy shoes!! A little stiff and will take some time getting used to but they look fabulous on! I love them!! I got the Tan and while it's a great color I wish I would have went with the darker brown. Zappos is the only place I'll order! They were cheaper than on the Frye website, FREE shipping and just great overall service. I will only shop here from now on!!

No where but Zappos ever again - First off, I needed to have these right away! I looked and Zappos was out of stock so I went ahead and ordered at a different on-line company and while I was waiting for my order Zappos got these great shoes back in stock. So I regretfully waited for the other company to deliver (1.5 weeks). Never again! But I didn't like the color and sent them back and re-ordered from Zappos!! Delivery was made the next day for FREE. This experience is like I went out and bought myself except the service and parking is WAY better. Anyway, I have a wide foot and I ordered a 1/2 size smaller (due to the reveiws)and it fits great although I can't wear chunky socks. Looks like a boot with the convenience of a slip on.

These could be the best shoes ever for jeans wearers! I have only had one pair of Fryes prior to this - they were the best boots I ever owned, but I got them when I was in college and charged them to my mother's department store charge account - this was 1980, they cost $100 and she about never stopped complaining about the price till the day she died. If I would have bought two pairs for $50 each, it wouldn't have been a problem . . . and I wore them for about six years. Back to the present - I can't handle a very high heel - I've got kind of a "sports" foot - but I want some heel and this is perfect. They did appear a bit shorter than the two inches listed, but I think the total two inches is accurate with the padding in the heel part of the shoe and the structure. There is enough of a back to the heel that you are not exposed there but you still have the ease of a slip-on and the awesome look of a boot. I heard some posters say that the back strap slipped - actually, I kind of pull it up and it helps to keep it on - I have a narrow foot and very narrow heels. They needed no breaking in at all although I added a Dr. Scholl's arch support I suffer from plantar fasciitis, commonly known as heel spurs because the pain is in your heel, and it's amazing how the arch support eliminates the heel pain! The inserts also made them fit much better for my narrow foot. I ordered a 9 and they are perfect - generally American-sized shoes vary for me from 9 to 10, but these do run about a half-size big. For some reason, European-sized 41 always fits but the American-sized shoes seem to vary more. One warning - I have "Olive Rage" and they look much more brown than olive, but I still love them. I wish they were a bit more olive, though. But when you are this close to perfection, why complain? I think they would look cute with tights and a skirt but it's so hard for me to make myself wear anything other than jeans and boot-cut leggings. I would say they are worth the money - only $28 more than my Frye boots of 24 years ago that got me into so much hot water!

Very satisfied! This shoe is the perfect compromise...the look of a harness boot but with less weight and a quick on-off option. I love it. I took the advise gleened from other reviewers and ordred a 1/2 size smaller than usual and it fit perfectly! It was comfortable from the moment I put it on, too!

These shoes rock! I love these shoes!!! They look awesome - I get tons of compliments on them. And although they are very heavy, they are surprisinly comfortable. One wearing and they were pretty well broken in. I usually wear either a 7.5 or an 8, and these fit perfectly in size 7.5. they don't run too big.

I LOVE THIS SHOE!!! This is the coolest shoe EVER! I saw it and fell in love. I've been very pleased. They are quite comfy, but a little too heavy if you're planning to do serious walking.
