Cool look but needs a little breaking in. Such an absolutely cool appearance, everyone one who sees these shoes wants a pair. The heel gives us shorties a bit of height and the sole is quite durable. They are seeming to need for me a little breaking in. (I have flat feet and mild bunions, so I may not be the perfect reviewer.) My arches ache a bit. Because the shoe is so heavy, you also notice it at the end of the day. But it's not bad enough to not want me to wear the shoe! And I think with time, they'll feel more comfortable.

Great Mule! I love the way this shoe looks. It is well-made as one would expect from a Frye boot. I feels great too. The only complaint I have is that the shoe is as heavy as a boot and is a bit of a challenge to walk in until you get used to it. My advise is to wear it a couple of times before you give up.

This is a good choice - If you want to wear boots, but don't want a bulky look under jeans. They are comfortable and run 1/2 size big. The texture was more "pebbly" then smooth, as it is pictured. They are very heavy, so not the ideal shoe if you are planning to do a lot of walking. But overall I am happy because the color is truly resembles chesnut, deep brown and amber tones and cool distressed looking hardware. Also a plus for me, is you can kick them off easy,

Frye belted harness mule - After trying a size 9 (too small) and 10 (too big), the 9.5 proved to fit well. The shoes is as heavy as it appears but looks great and is not uncomfortable. Zappos shipping and return policies are great. Zappos is about the only place I shop for shoes now.

Why don't they get it right.... Wow... cool shoes. But, like every other Frye I've had, runs small/narrow. The belt/harness thing slips & slides, especially behind the heel, so I'm frequently fooling with that. But it's cool enough so that I can wear it when it's too warm for my cowboy boots! Takes quite a bit of breaking in; beautiful leather, but it's a fight to get 'em to fit well. I finally succeeded; you'll love 'em if you do.

Cool, runs large - Very cool look especially in a shoe that isn't too high. I ordered my regular size but found I needed a size smaller. I don't think they come in half sizes, which would have been perfect. I used a little rubbing alcohol on the inside spots that felt a bit tight and all is well.

Kickin Boot-Shoes (Frye Harness mule) These look really cool and are well-made. There is less room across the "box" (the widest part of your foot) than there might be. There is plenty of room for the instep (top of foot) which can be a problem with other mules and slides. The insole is kind of rubbery which might bother some people.

Mixed reviews from the family - I bought these because they look classy in a rugged sort of way, both in catalogues and at the Zappos site. However, I won't wear them much. Reactions from colleagues have been teasing (I work in a school, so some informality is okay). So, nope, not going to wear them much. Great service, though!

Comfort that will last for years - These are stylish and very comfortable, heavy shoes that are extremely well-made. The green color is really like rustic barn-siding and very sturdy yet soft on the interior leather. They look awesome with pants. I bought them for kicking around but I have flown five airline flights with them and they are the perfect air flight shoe as they slip right off yet are cozily warm and superb walking shoes (or running as the airlines know I mostly run late. I'd say the size is true as I bought an 8 and 1/2 'cause that was all that was available, but I normally wear an 8 and the shoes are slightly large but if I want I can wear three pairs of warm socks with them. Though I haven't needed to.

frye mule - FABULOUS,, got this is tan crazy horse , it is warm despite being a mule style. Fit was true to size.

Zappos is the best! I ordered these shoes Thursday afternoon and received them Monday. I'm wearing them Tuesday. I do think they run slightly big, but you can adjust your socks accordingly. Zappos is the BEST place to get shoes! Better than any store.

LOVE THIS SHOE - The quality of this shoe is amazing--I get tons of compliments-- I can where it all year round because I live in a mild climate. It is very comfortable and can with stand anything--best of all you don't need to be gentle with them- they are great:) I wish they had them in black!!

Harness Clogs are Great!! These shoes kick butt. They offer the look of boots but without all the strength required to pull them off. They were really comfortable from the first wear. Love 'em.

Great looking boot/shoe - This boot/shoe is really a great looking shoe. The only issue I have with them is the belts, which are either falling down in the back or keeping my pants legs bunched up in the front. All in all, though, I'm happy with them, though I might remove the belts.

What a look! This Mule has an awesome look. I have very high arches and I find that the arch in the shoe doesn't fit where my arch is.I think it runs a little long, maybe by a half size. The heel is very wide.
