I bought this mat 5 or 6 months ago and love it so much. I travel with it as well. At first I was worried because it took a while to break in but I did the salt scrub that manduka reccomended and it is perfect! I use it everyday and it is still very sticky!

After 2 years of practice, I decided it was time for my first first 'posh' yoga mat, after a lot of research I decided on the Manduka PROlite yoga mat in thunder. For me, the top 2 requirements were that the mat had to be durable and non-slip. The lifetime guarantee was a huge plus for this brand, as well as the portability of the PROlight. Upon receiving the mat, first thought was: I LOVE the colour, subtle yet unusual. I followed instructions for breaking-in the mat using the salt method. I live in Spain and practice in non-air conditioned studio and I really didn't want to be sliding around in my downward facing dog. I have to say initially I was SO disappointed. As soon as I got any moisture on the palms of my hands, I had to abandon my intention of sticking to it and breaking in my new mat. I would give up and lay one of the communal mats over the top of my own. I pursued, and after a few weeks the slippage became less and less. Now I can sweat all I like, and be confident that my asana will not suffer. I have now had my mat for 7 months, practicing at least 3x a week and it still looks brand new. I store it rolled up, but it lies flat. It is well cushioned & comfortable, but not 'spongy'. Manduka has been the only branded yoga mat I have ever bought, so although I can not compare to others, I would recommend the PROlite.

After 6 months using it, I still can't find any negative comment for this mat. Perfect!

I've had this mat for little less than a year. I did scrub it with Sea Salt granules as suggested and it's now my favorite mat and I've got 5 of various brands.

It's a great yoga mat with a lifetime warranty. Manduka PROlite is light and durable. I read many reviews about it. It's not slippery from the very first day. (I practice Hatha & Vinyasa) and it's not smelly. It has many beautiful colors too!! I strongly suggest it!

Love my Manduka mats! Will never use any other brand. As an instructor I was given a beautiful mat by a competitor, and I ended donating it. Many of my students have become converts as well after seein my mat. Thank you for making such a beautiful product.

I'm so happy I invested in this that mat. It doesn't slip. I do yoga ,trx , Pilates's on it.Also hot yoga .And it's wonderful. I wished I would of bought it sooner. I highly recommend this mat.

I've been practicing yoga for 11 years on a regular basis and always made do with the cheapo mats that disintegrated over time. I finally treated myself to the Manduka mat, and I am so glad I did. I hope to keep this mat for a very long time. It was slippery at first, but they were right, with continued use - it is just perfect now.

This is definitely the most expensive yoga mat I've purchased, but after having it now for the last six months, it's definitely worth it! Much better quality than previous cheaper ones I've owned. It doesn't move around on the floor, and it's the perfect amount of cushion--not too soft, not too firm.

I have used this for 6 months 4 to 5 times a week and love it! It lays flat, has great padding and isn't heavy to carry around town.

Love my mat!! I've used it ~15 times now, still no issues. Cured it with salt when arrived & I wipe it down with distilled water after use. I still slip on the mat (granted I sweat more than average through my feet & palms), but I have been told by other Manduka users, the slipping does eventually subside.

So happy with my mat! It truly lives up to Manduka's reputation as being the best on the market. Very sticky and the purple color is beautiful in person.

The mat works great, surprisingly comfortable for its thickness. My old mat is the same thickness but not nearly as comfortable - must be a different type of cushioning material. The mat does not have a bad smell like other mats tend to have. This one is ready to go from the get go. Recommended.

I love this mat! I had a cheaper mat, kept shredding on me. This one is so comfortable and sturdy. I highly recommend, don't hesitate to buy. Also the color is so cute.

This is the perfect mat for me! I was torn between the prolite and the pro but I opted for the lite mat after having read several reviews recommending the lite mat for traveling. It's a comfortable weight and size and the grip is terrific! I know many reviewers have mentioned a lack of stickiness (before the mat is broken in) but in my opinion this mat is quite sticky for being brand new out of the box. I upgraded from a Gaiam mat and the difference between the two is night and day! My daughter uses a Gaiam mat and of course it slips and bunches all over the place so I will definitely be buying another Manduka mat for her. As always, Zappos delivered my new mat in less than 24 hours and it arrived in perfect condition.

I am happy with this yoga mat. The color is a bit more muted in person, but still very nice. It is the perfect thickness and size. Instructions are included on how to break it in, which appears to mean removing the think layer that keeps the yoga mat from sticking together in shipping. I didn't do that before using it and it still worked fine. Once that layer wears off, it will be perfect.

This mat is awesome. I travel a lot so I didn't want the heavier mat, but the longer size of this mat makes yoga a dream. Always had to shift around due to lack of length for down dog, but this takes care of business. Super supportive and soft for my knees too.

It's definitely made of durable material. The price is fantastic for the quality and the fact that it's double sided. So far it does feel slippery but I think that will get better with continued use. Even if I buy a towel to lay over it, I'll still keep it. You seriously can't go wrong with this yoga mat.

I debated a bit before purchasing this mat but am so glad I did. It is sturdy and comfortable along with being very portable. While it is a bit expensive it is ever so much better than the cheaper mat I had been using where I nearly did face plants on downward dogs. This mat has traction! I originally ordered the mat in pink but returned it for navy blue, figuring that it really would last a lifetime and that blue would show less wear and tear, grass stains, etc.
