This is my go to hat for anything outdoors. In addition to keeping the sun off your neck and ears, it is a physical barrier against bugs. The material wicks well, a real plus. The cap wears like iron and can be washed repeatedly (use a laundry bag) and comes out clean in the delicate cycle with a sport type detergent. I don't know what the brim is made of but it doesn't get soggy or loose it's shape. Getting the right size is key to comfort and coverage, go larger if in doubt.

I was looking for something more than a cap for running in the sun. This is perfect! I particularly wanted something that would protect my ears and neck and this does the trick. When I run past the neighbours they enjoy yelling out "here comes the flying nun" or asking if I am joining the French Foreign Legion!! It's a neighbourhood hit!

I like this hat so much that I ordered one as a gift for my mother. It is very cool and the flap keeps the sun off of the back of my neck. I purchased it to use on my daily walks.

This hat has been a staple on every hiking, trekking and mountaineering trip over the past 14 years. In fact I'm still wearing the one I bought in 2006! I love the fact that it hasn't changed in all that time and that it hold up wash after wash no matter what I do to it. In the summer I soak the "skirt" in permethrin to keep the mosquito's at bay. I finally decided to purchase another one in a different color. :)

Use it for yard/garden/farm work and it is incredible. Lightweight, sweat wicking, with way better sun protection than the bucket hat I used before.

cap is lightweight, fits well on the head because of the adjustable strap in the rear. would order your usual size or a size up because the extra material on the side could help more with sun protection. I thought it would shelter my face cheeks more so definitely still need to wear sunscreen on the nose, chin, etc. The reason I purchased this item was because of the string in front which helps as I had assumed. The highlight of this cap is the neck protection.

bought for significant other. they were super juiced for having it for doing land work and fishing. dude has a large head plus hair with volume and xl fits fine especially because of the adjustable rear

I have a lot of hair so I got a size up from my typical. Works perfectly. So lightweight!

Love this hat. Can keep the drawstring tight for maximum sun protection, or loose to allow more of a breeze through it. Beats wearing sunscreen 100%

This hat will be my protection from the sun on my Baja Divide bikepacking trip January, 2021. I love that this hat is available in different sizes.

Great hat. Very durable, and fairly cool. Sun enclosure is removable to make a baseball cap. Perfect for sunny days on glaciers or snow. I have not got a sun burn while wearing this hat, which is more than I can say for many other products. Not super stylish for use around town, and the string can sometimes be in the way, but overall a fantastic hat for winter or summer use on sunny days. Also fits under a helmet.

Purchased this for my son who has a hard time finding a good fitting hat. It fit perfectly. It's comfortable and provides excellent sun protection.

This is my second Sun Runner Cap. I wore the first one down to a rag. Good adjustable sizing, excellent sun protection. More colors, please.

Does this hat look goofy? Probably; however, it saved my but recently while travelling and hiking in the sun at altitude. I wore the hat (without the sun shade) for the city and then put the sun shade on when hiking and more exposed to the sun. Really versatile gear for someone who did not have the space for two hats. Also, surprising cool for a hat with so much coverage.

Best hiking cap for the summer time. Detaching and attaching the neck cover is a bit complicated for the first time. Buy the white version if exposed to the sun through out the hike

Great product; velcro allows very quick adjustment for adding with a OR Peruvian when temperature changes. Cape is great for glacier travel; use your hat leash for pulling the sides closer. Beach colors not so hot; bring Black back or offer velcro option in the Swift.

I am on antibiotics that causes my facial skin to burn easily. This covers the most affected areas well and is still light and breathable. Exactly what I was looking for so I can continue to enjoy the outdoors in full sun!
