Does everything a sun hat should and is very comfortable to wear. I was a little worried it would be too warm, but I have not found that to be a problem.

I have purchased three of these hats. One for myself and two for grandkids. We all use them in the pool for sun protection. They do great and dry quickly.

A great light weight hat that really keeps the sun off of you. It keeps your head feeling cool the whole time.

I work at a desert plant nursery and use this hat all day inside and outside of the greenhouses. I appreciate its lightweight and breathability along with the wide brim. I also like that it has an adjustable elastic strap around the crown of the head so I can cinch it on if it is windy outside. My only wish is that it looked less tactical gear and didn't have the huge (ang ugly) OR logo front and center because I loathe walking around as an advertisement all day. I chose the curry color, which seems a little brighter than khaki but still subdued. I would have been happier with more bold color choices.

I was searching for a full coverage hat that was designed for outdoor water activities. Light, well made, good sun protection, ventilation and stylish. I found the The Sombriolet Sun Hat at Outdoor Research and I totally love it. Sizing is true to hat size and I get comments all the time. I give it 5 stars. WK

I live in the United Arab Emirates and during my summer golf games, your hat helps to protect my ears and neck for the 110+ degree sun.

I’ve had one of these since 2009. 2 more since then. They’re fantastic sun hats for many reasons. When tensioned a little with the bungee in the back, this hat says put on your head even in gusts. Has a really nice shape to the brim, low in front and back higher curve up on the sides. Wicks sweat, great SPF, can take some abuse. I spend a good amount of time in the Mojave desert, Death Valley, and Black Rock, NV overlanding/camping. I won’t go out without this hat. It’s as essential as sunscreen. Some people have written this is a cheap hat. I say, false. I think OR makes the best hats available. If I could find a better one, I’d get it. This is a great hat that I hope to never be without.

Awesome hat I work as a landscaper and wear it everyday in the summer for sun protection. It's cool and light and retains its shape after washing. Love it so much I bought 2 more

I used my new hat on my latest canoe trip into Quetico PP. It came in very handy as we had weather in the mid 30's (Celsius) for the 6 days that we were there. The hat is lightweight, has a great sized brim for blocking sun, and the chin strap kept me from losing it to the wind. I'm not a hat person, but I love this one and will continue to use it on my adventures.

I work on a farm, and sometimes spend full days out in the sun. The Sombriolet has a wide enough brim to keep sun off my neck and shade my eyes; the hat is lightweight as well. Most people I work with wear straw hats of some kind, but I wanted something to work double-duty on the river and backpacking. I got it in "Fatigue" so I could wear it hunting.
