Love these hats for hiking & sun protection. Have a sombrero version and after 5 yrs decided to add a second colour. Bought one for my Mom as well. Love the vents for air flow and the super light weight. A large fits comfortably but sized up to an XL and it leaves room to go over a messy ponytail or bun for long hair, which is convenient.

I'm using this hat for both sun and rain protection during my training for a thru hike here in Hawaii. It is lightweight, super breathable, and keeps those light showers that come and go at bay. I love this hat and can't wait to actually use it on trail. The Oahu Coastline Trail Project

Very light and breathable, use it backpacking and provides unreal sun protection. Barely rubs against my 60L pack when hiking. Exactly what I was looking for.

Hat does a great job keeping its profile, even after getting smashed a few times

This is the second Outdoor Research hat I've bought for my husband. He had the Transit Sun Hat for years and quite liked it, but I like that this one has a broader brim and protects his neck better. The quality is good, the material is durable, and the hats are washable. Also, the XL size is actually big enough. Other brands we'd tried were often too tight.

Lightweight, fits perfect and looks good. I have a smaller head and purchased size medium.

I use this hat throughout the summer in a hot and humid region for routine walking trips and longer hikes. It is comfortable even on the hottest days and provides excellent, broad sun exposure shading and coverage. Recommend it highly.

We travel a lot, so it's important that I have a good hat. Well, this one is a great hat! It lays flat in your suitcase, and doesn't disfigure!

LOVE THIS HAT! I've been told for years to buy a hat with better sun protection and couple never venture beyond a trucker hat- also from OR! I decided to give this hat a try and love it! Keeps the sun off my face, is stylish, and I dunk it in the water to keep me cooler longer!

Love it comfortable lightweight and breathable. Great for the beach, reading outside, and boating.

What a great hat! Living in Florida this hat is perfect! I use it for my bike rides, golf, and whenever I'm out in the sun.

Yardwork, camping, walking for protection from the suns rays

We bought this hat to test on our 2 week long sailing trip and we love it! I shared it with my partner and now am I going to get my own! It stayed tight on our heads in the strong winds, protected us from the hot sun and the rain just rolled off the hat. We love that it is so lightweight and easy to adjust to our heads. I would recommend this hat to anyone doing any watersports or sailing!
