I love these boots just were too small in my normal size so had to size up

The black leather is gorgeous, but I couldn't even get the shoe onto my foot, and I ordered 8.5, which is my usual size. I gave one star for comfort, but maybe a 9.5 would be super-comfy, so please don't trust that rating!

I like the profile of these boots. They are less bulky than the Frye Julie boot, which has a heavy lug sole. These will look great with midi skirts and skinny jeans. There is some padding in the foot bed so I think they will work for long days on my feet. they seem to run a little narrow which is fine for me, but I won't be wearing a heavy sock.

Just received these in the Black Stone Wash and they are beautiful! I am normally a 7 in Fryes (thin socks) and probably a 7.5 with regular socks. So I took my chances on an 8 based on another reviewer saying the 8 felt more like a 7. When I tried them on, they fit perfectly (with regular socks)! Even the length is good, which I was worried about. They do have a hug the foot fit. And while I can tell they aren't super comfy right off the bat, they will be. The leather is soft so I'm sure it will mold to my feet over time. Oh and mine are little bit more distressed then pictured in the image, but in a good way! Just the way I wanted them!

I like the color of the Forest Soft Oiled Suede -- very dark gray with a muted green cast to it -- but I wasn't a fan of the suede look and feel.

These boots are way too heavy/clunky. They run small. The distressing is nothing like the picture and they scratch easily. Not worth the price at all. I wear my $35 combat style boots from Target way more often. Bummer.

Love the look and quality of these boots. They run very small though. I wear a 8 - 8.5 and the 9.5 fit perfectly. I'm returning bc the camel color is more blah in person. Prefer whiskey or black

I should’ve known, only 1 pair left in stock and I knew immediately these had been worn and returned and not just once, these were worn, scuffed and broken in. Zappos, please don’t send out worn used shoes as new, especially when they cost $200. Thank you.

I love the style and craftsmanship of these boots. The are perfect work boots for my profession as they meet the style and color requirements. However, they run very small. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than normal and they are still very tight! I am sending them back and will try a full size larger. Hoping the next pair will be large enough.

I love LOVE LOVE these boots. In Frye fashion you put them on once and they are auto comfy. I could walk all day in them. Love the leather. Frye is ALWAYS on point across the boar with greatness.

Just got my boots and LOVE them. With tax they were close to $300 and this is considered a big purchase to me so I thought about it long and hard before ordering them. The leather is soft and smooth like butter!!! They fit true to size to me. Based on a lot of reviews I read I was prepared for a tight hard feel followed with a long break in period, but that is simply not the case. From day one they have felt great and have given me zero problems. I think this style is classic and therefore hope to have them a loooooong time. I got the camel color and they look exactly like the pictures.

Sharp, functional, and slightly Victorian looking, these were perfect for me. These boots, like Frye styles tend with me, feel a bit narrow for my medium foot -- I went up a half-size for a comfortable fit. I first bought the Dark Brown color (Soft Vintage Leather style) and found it a very nice sober color with reddish/mahogany undertones. But I decided I wanted something a bit more eye-catching and exchanged them for the Whiskey (sort of reddish/cognac). Flawless.

These boots are beautiful & well constructed—excellent quality. Wish I didn't have to return them. The reason: I have a narrow foot, especially the heel. They fit me well all over except no matter how many variations on pads I tried there was still too much movement in the heel. These boots would be ideal for feet that are on the wider side of narrow or on narrow side of medium.

Love these boots! Used my rewards$ towards this purchase and so happy that I did! Excellent quality and love the cashew suede color! I went half a size up and they fit perfect! Already saving up for another color<3 Hopefully I see a sale on these soon!

Loved the look of the boot, I bought the soft black. I over-pronate and found that the boot provided no arch support, so sadly had to return them. I do own many pairs of other models of Frye boots, this is the first pair that the arch support was non existent.

A nice lighter boot. True to size and maybe a touch narrow. I found them hard to lace up due to the texture of the shoe laces, but those are easy to replace. The leather is a little soft/thin for my taste, but makes them a little more refined than you might expect. The rubber lug lift and outsole liner gives a LOT less grip than I expected since the treads are very shallow and the rubber itself isn't particularly grippy. If you're looking for a true combat boot, these are a bit too light-duty in my opinion, but they're lovely for casual or costuming wear.

I usually wear a 7.5, but the 8 was most comfortable. Love love love the boot. Comfy and stylish.. hipstery. Great with pants or dress/skirt. And if I was younger maybe shorts too:)
