Love!!

Awesome boot with nice reptile texture, but too narrow for my foot.

i hate to say this, but frye has let me down this time. i have four other pairs of fryes, and they are all stellar: well made, long-lasting (i walk A LOT), beautiful and stylish. not these boots. if i were to see these on the shelf and didn't know they were fryes, i would guess that they cost around $60. like, it's an okay boot - the leather is nice, the sole looks sturdy, but otherwise, it looks like a potato on your foot. no shaping, just a nice, fat oval sticking out of the bottom of the shaft. the pictures looked so nice!!! i know it's been a few years since these have been out, and it looks like they've made some changes: ~ there is no white frye label stitched onto the tongue. ~ no gold embossed label inside the heel. ~ no stamped brand on the outside of the tongue. ~ the logo on the sole is different. ~ there is no size marked anywhere, inside or outside; there was a cardboard inspection tag floating around in one boot with the size on it. ~ and finally, in the other boot, there was a cardboard label, with the logo for "ad-tec work boots". what??? and for those wondering about size, i know a lot of people said these run small but mine were too big. too long, and for my narrow foot, too wide. these are going back. i haven't given up on frye, but this was a real disappointment.

I love these boots! At first, the leather was a little stiff but they fit like a glove. The more I wear them, the softer they get. They have not lost their shape and still look new.

I was comparing this boots with Dr. Martens Boots, and decided to get this pair instead. I'm happy with my choice, comfortable and great looks!

Fit and size both spot on. I have plantar fascitis and must wear an insert in any shoe that doesn't have super support. I always take my usual size in Frye which accommodates the insert very comfortably. (Often I have to size up to make it fit). I was looking for a gray boot to do a lot of walking on a trip that will probably be cool and wet (England in June) and think that if I waterproof these pretty well they will be just the ticket for comfort AND they look great!

Awesome shoe. Best of all they run narrow, and since I have narrow feet, here is a boot finally that I can wear as it is not too wide. (And yet it is still a medium for you ladies with a medium width foot). Beautifully made. Leather smells wonderful. I am wearing a medium thick sock with this. I did not have to buy a size smaller or larger, they are true to size. Maybe others needing a larger size may have a larger toe area or larger heels? I bought them in black in a 7 1/2. I may have to buy them in another color.

These boots mean business. They were much heavier than I anticipated, so I feel like I clunk around in them. I've only worn them once so far, and was concerned with how tight they were at first. They loosened up after about an hour, though, and were very comfortable after that. I do expect these to last a very long time, and look forward to how they'll look and feel after they're fully broken in. The upper leather is soft, but the boot/foot portion is VERY solid. It will take a lot of wear to break these in. I'd definitely recommend them, though.

Love the Veronica Combat boot! I have narrow feet and these work quite well with inserts for me. The sole would be quite comfortable without inserts as well. They look fantastic and are super comfortable. I have many pairs of boots, but I always seems to select these. And just like other shoes Frye makes, they are well made.

Love the color! One of my new favorites!

I think it seems to be made well (in India, for Frye) of Vintage (or vintage-looking) Italian leather. It feels like butter & isn’t too hot with insoles & medium wool sox on. They look gorgeous & allow for you to use creativity when lacing them. I’m wearing a couple to a few times a week. I’ll update on if the hold together or ‘melt’ apart. ?

I got these in a 7, and I really liked the style, but I have large calves and these just didn't fit them very well - they were too tight. Otherwise, the leather was soft and they seemed comfortable, they just weren't for me.

I truly hope Frye got these right as far as manufacturing because I am in love. I purchased 1/2 large as I normally do so I could fit my cork Birkenstock half insoles in them. Then wore medium thick socks just to make sure no blisters on the heel. Day one was like end of year one with regular wear. I haven’t had quite as comfortable as well as kick@&& boots in a long time. They are fully leather lined and not half way, stopping where you can’t see on the top at the ball of the feet. I leave a few holes at the top unlaced. They really are feminine while still being edgy. I hope they grow more pleasant as the years past.

I have wanted this boot for years and I finally treated myself with them. I purchased the black soft vintage leather, in my normal size 8 and I felt like they fit true to size. They are very comfortable to wear - even without being broken in. However, I feel as though the leather isn't as supple as my other Frye boots and they feel somewhat cheaper. The boots I received are also not the same as pictured on the website. Zappos is a main seller of Frye boots and I've never questioned their authenticity until I ordered these boots. While they came in a Frye box, there was no Frye tag on the boot or in the box, the box had plain what tissue instead of the Frye branded tissue and the markings on the boot were different than those pictures - ie. the photos show a white tag sewn into the tongue of the boot, mine came in a printed "made in India". I contacted Zappos right away and the customer service rep was very helpful and offered to exchange them. Before we went through the trouble of doing that, I emailed Frye and asked about the markings and other details I felt were off. Frye did confirm they have updated this boot style. I talked to another customer rep a few days later to arrange my exchange and the rep came off as rude and unhelpful. I ended up with my exchange and these felt different - in a good way. The box came as it should with the all the proper tags and paper. So it would be great if Zappos updated their stock photos to show what boot you're really getting.

Fit and size perfect. Finish is beautiful

The boots are beautiful. I am still breaking them in hence the four style rating. I walked around most of the day in them. However, I know I will need to wear them a few more days as I don't feel I can do a .6 mile in them right now but eventually I am confident I will.

I think the boots are true to size. I am just between an 8 1/2 and a 9. It just depends on the boot and the brand, so that is why I am returning. The boots are nice looking and very well made.

Gorgeous color and leather. I’m a true 5.5 in most every shoe/boot but had to go with 6. Very snug, especially if you want to wear a reasonable sock with them.

I love these boots. The soles are perfect for walking and the leather is a fine quality. Great support for my ankle that I broke several months ago. I will shop again at Zappos!!!

These boots are gorgeous - exactly what I have been looking for. I wanted an authentic looking "combat boot", and these really fit the fill. It is definitely more work to have to lace them up each time, but I feel like having a zipper on the side takes away from the look. Based on a couple reviews I read, I ordered these one half size larger. I wanted to wear them with heavier socks for warmth, yet still have normal room. They still felt a tiny bit large, so by adding an insole they fit perfectly and have plenty of toe box room. Many thanks again to Zappo's for their outstanding service and return ease. I have looked at purchasing boots and shoes from other sites, but the shipping costs and return difficulty aren't worth it. I've been a happy Zappo's customer for many years.

Beautiful and very comfortable, even from the first wear, boots. I have wide feet with high arch and it is usually hard for me to find shoes that I can walk with or in some cases even to put them on. These surprised me!
