Great hat. I use this hat to wear under a hard hat. It fits well and is very warm. I would recommend this hat to anyone.

Surprisingly warm for such a thin hat. Stops the wind. Chin strap keeps ear flaps over ears where they belong. Nice color scheme, but nothing else handsome about it. Wish it didn't have a big OR on the forehead.

I bought the Large for a pretty large head. it fits like a glove, which is good. The Windstopper fabric is a Gore-Tex fabric, which wasn't immediately apparent to me. At this price point for a Gore-Tex fleece, that's a great value. This hat is noisy. Not to other people; for an idea of what this hat sounds like, cup your hands over your ears. if you move your hands at all you can hear a rustling noise, even at the slightest movement. It's like that. I'm a little bit hard of hearing from too many rock concerts, and it's hard to hear conversations while wearing this hat. Despite all this, I still like it a lot. It's very, very lightweight and warm, and it's very comfortable. I can put the ear flaps up behind my head with the drawcord. The style is also okay.

Great hat except for one thing. If the large size was about 20% "bigger" it would be awesome. Slightly tight and because of Goretex it doesn't stretch much Otherwise it's awesome

This hat is warm, windproof, lightweight and easy to pack. What now could you want???

I wear it fishing over my ball caps. Very warm and helps hold my hat on running down lake.

i use it daily on cool or cold days while commuting with my bike. it keeps my ears warm and that's the most important thing a hat can do in my opinion. with other hats, sometimes they don't cover my whole ear, so the bottom of my ears freeze to death.

This is the best ski jacket I've used. It's lightweight and extremely durable. It layers perfectly with a lightweight puffy and base-layer underneath, and is perfect for either storm days in the resort or big tours in the backcountry. The fit has gotten better and better over the years too. This fits true to size and doesn't have the short boxy look that some other jackets do. This will be my go-to jacket this season and for years to come!

This hat is perfect for cold and windy environments. It is lightweight and keeps you warm.

I use this hat for local day hiking and will eventually use it snowshoeing. The winter temps in the valleys around here (southwestern Oregon) get down into the high twenties, and this hat is perfect for that. The generous ear flaps are the best thing about it. Snowshoeing in the mountains would be another ten degrees colder, but I'm confident this hat will the the job. Highly recommend.

I bought my first Peruvian hat in Patagonia years ago and have coveted it for fear of loosing it. Then I found it again on your website and bought an extra one for me and then one for my daughter for Christmas. This hat is awesome! And it is light weight and fits comforatably on my head. I will probably buy more for gifts.

Great hat. All the practicality of a windproof hat without the bulk-perfect for under a helmet, for sure. Most jackets have a hood so if you REALLY need bomber warm, this is a great base layer to a 2-layer approach, which makes it better than carrying two hats and provides great ear protection without the dreaded riding-up or slipping, made all the more secure with the chin strap. I have lived in this for weeks at a time (including sleeping) outside and its the one I keep using because it's so versatile.

This is my second hat that I have purchased ....loved them too much.They are definitely wind proof and will definitely keep you warm have tried it in -30 celcius...no issues and when you sweat in it maintains heat perfect and it drys real fast as well Also draw strings will help keep ear muffs from ears if you do not need to cover them and draw strings help from losing hat when not in use... biggest con is that its ugly, my kids make fun of it each time I wear it

Use this mainly for a ski days, it fit super well under my helmet. I'll definitely recommend this product

Love this hat- very warm but fits under a helmet well

I needed a hat that fits under a bike helmet. I've used beanies in the past but they don't do a great job of covering ears. This does. It's like weight and both wind and waterproof. I use it to cycle in rural Iowa where temps can fall well below zero and the wind is a constant companion. On below zero days, I wear it over a helmetclava and it is wonderful. Above +20F I wear it without a neck gaiter and it's extremely comfortable. Great product!

Had a hard time finding a hat with ear coverings; this one works great to keep ears warm!

I use this hat in Manitoba's winter when the wind chills make Celsius and Fahrenheit temps meet at -40. The draw string keeps the wind from blowing up into the hat keeping your head and ears nice and comfortable, it's wind proof build is far superior to a toque or beanie. This style of hat and this hat in particular is an awesome addition to your outdoor winter gear to get out for some fresh but brisk air.

OR Peruvian Hats are the best. Great fit, warm, comfortable, and classic. The only reason to buy this hat is if you lost the last OR Peruvian you owned for two decades.
