Putting on these boots the first time I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were. They don't feel rough on the inside like my Frye boots. They almost feel like a sneaker in boot's clothing. They are sharp looking with leggings. Love them!

About 5 years ago these boots were given to me from someone that felt they were too tight. I wore them in and now I wear them every day. With dresses, jeans, shorts whatever im wearing. I love the non-slip sole for I live around a lot of mud, snow, rocks and dirt. The pair that I have does not have the memory foam insole or a warm lining. In fact my toes froze to numbness when it was cold or snowing. But I still wear them. They were waterproof for the first three years but now the sole has split and my feet get soaked. I tried to get them repaired but it cant be done. If you do not mind spending alot of money on nice looking, versatile boots, then I recommend these. But if you live on a cheap new car budget like me then they are in no way good enough to get. I just love mine so much, I wish I could afford to buy another pair. But I will just have to not wear mine when it rains.

I absolutely love these shoes. They are very comfortable; I can walk in them for hours and they look nice with both jeans and skirts. My only complaint is that I have had two pairs now, and the first lasted less than two years, while the second has only lasted a year. I live in Boston and walk a lot, even in winter, and it's the winter that does them in. However, considering the price tag, I wish they had lasted a bit longer. I'd still buy them again, if I can find them on sale, because of how comfortable and versatile they are.

They are less rugged looking in person. At least the black lug sole sort of disappears with the black on black. I think they will age in a cool way. I ordered the black suede. They are expensive for what you get quality wise. I have 2 pair of Aquatalia boots so I'm used to spending a good amount on them and nothing compares to them, but the style of these won out. I generally have a hard time fitting my calves (15.5"), so nothing else is fitting in these after my skinny jeans. They are snug, but I'm hopeful that they'll stretch a bit. The tab at the top could be adjustable, but there is only one hole and it doesn't make a difference in the shaft circumference. You can feel the zipper, so you will not want to wear these without socks. I'm an 8.5 in a heel and a 9.5 in Asics running shoes and I went with a 9. It's perfect. I have flat feet and on the wider side (I bought M width) and the footbed feels good. Only time will tell if I can wear these 8 hours with no pain. I have not worn them out yet, but they feel extremely warm and I put a bit of water on them and they reacted quite well. I'm going to keep them and give La Canadienne a shot as this is my first pair. Their styles are super cute and simple. Let's hope the comfort measures up to Aquatalia for the cost! They are good quality, but these should be around half this price in my opinion. I've been looking two years for the style and look. I gave a 4 star overall because of the price/quality. Hope this helps.

I am really on the fence about these boots. First of all, the color on the Oiled Stone Suede is really different than in the picture, much lighter, more of a grey taupe than a brown. They are a great looking boot, just what this So Cal girl was looking for to take to the snow. But the fit is odd, so I don't know if they will work. The ankle seems tight given that the shoe part is kinda wide. The shaft does not seem too narrow, but then again, I have chicken calves. And the fit seems a little clunky.

Sensible every day boot. I got them to replace my Frye boots. So far so good. Comfortable, warm. I would prefer if they were a tiny bit more stylish and less practical but they are made well and a good everyday look. They are definitely insulated and warm!

Pros: Looks smart. Seems warm and protective. Cons: Is a bit stiff and heavy. Too expensive for what it is. I have an Ecco shoe that looks exactly like this one, although it has less padding and this one is constructed better overall. But the price differential makes this not worth it.

I've had these boots for three years. They're cute, and they've always been warm and cozy. However, they've never been good at keeping the water out, even after weatherproofing. This polar vortex winter in Chicago has been they're undoing. For the price, I think they should have lasted longer and kept my feet dry.

Not sure why but the strap across the ankle, or how it is sewn makes the ankle stiff and uncomfortable when stepping. So close. I am 5'9" and have 13" calves and these were probably as close as can be to fitting me they just seem awkward and like I said the ankle is uncomfortable. They need to go back.

This is a cute style and they are comfortable. But they are not worth the price. La Canadienne is a good brand but this style is not up to par. If you want a motorcycle boot style it requires stronger feeling materials and is done better by other brands try Fluevog or Frye. the zipper was cheap looking and the feeling was just not as high quality as other La Canadienne boots. I returned these. I am keeping the Isadora which I think is a good example of the brand's strengths.

I just opened these boots and can say that I'm a bit disappointed. Other reviews said that they were slim in the calf, but they are very baggy on me. Also, there is no fleece inside this boot - although people had commented on fleece in the boot. Lastly, they are more of a drab taupe than the rich gold suede pictured.

Bought these from Zappos (love Zappos unfailingly); great the first half of winter, got a bit droopy and the heel wore surprisingly quick the second half. By the start of the second season, the wrap on the heel peeled (no, it's not "stacked", its an applied wrap) and the zipper failed. Looking back I should have picked up on the zipper not being heavy duty. Disappointed.

I have had these boots in the black nubuck for two months and the lug sole just separated from the boot. I'm so disappointed because they were incredibly comfortable and soft with no breaking in time required. They have never been wet or in snow as I live in southern California...so these are either defective or poorly made. What a bummer.

I had these boots for less than a week before they started leaking through the zipper. Less than a month in water was seeping through the toes and the detailing on the heel was peeling off, making them look extremely worn out for relatively new boots. I had them sent back to La Canadienne in the middle of winter hoping that they would be fixed or replaced. La Canadienne did not address the issue for weeks and I was stuck without proper boots in harsh weather. I have owned excellent La Canadienne boots in the past and was extremely disappointed by this product and the experience of trying to communicate with La Canadienne.
