I’m very pleased with these boots. I bought them in black. Ordered a half size up, but wish I didn't. I have small calves and ankles and think my regular size of 8 would have been a better fit. However, the 8.5 are close enough and I can wear some thick socks over my tights or leggings which is good in the cold. I have had no problem shoving skinny jeans inside as well. I feel like I could walk for miles in these babies.

Wonderful boot. Most reviews were favorable but I was a little daunted by the few that listed the boot being slippery in the heel or too tight at the calf. I don't have skinny calves or particularly large ones. Verdict: the boot is exactly as pictured and very comfortable. Wore them all day today and faired very well with a lot of city walking. Comfortable and stylish; exactly as pictured. I tucked my regular boot cut jeans inside. A pinch snug but I sacrificed no comfort. Nice quality; highly recommend this boot. (I ordered one half size up and they fit perfectly.)

Love these boots. I normally wear an 8, but I exchanged to an 8.5 which fits perfectly with thick, winter-time socks. Very comfortable.

I got these in the Medium Brown in my usual size - 7. The first time I tried them on, I could get them zipped up over my calf (my calf is about 15 inches). So, I put the cardboard and tissue back in the boots and prepared to return them. But, a little while later I decided to try it again. On the second try, I got them zipped up but just barely. I wore them around the house for about an hour and an amazing thing happened. They conformed to my calf. Now, they zip all the way up with no problem at all. I'm so glad I didn't rush to return them. The shoe part is actually a little roomy on my foot which really surprised me given some of the other reviews. I guess my foot is on the narrow side. But with a couple of inserts, the fit will be great. The look of the boots is the perfect mix of rugged (especially in the Medium Brown) and chic. I predict I will get years of wear out of these and now I want to rebuild my wardrobe around my boots!

These boots are beautiful! These boots are so comfortable and of good quality. Unfortunately, boots this tall do not look good on a girl with short legs. I wish they made a shorter version.

Everytime I wear these boots I get complimented on them. Work great with jeans and cords. I live in Bozeman and the grip these boots have on the ice and snow is great. Pretty comfortable to wear all day, but my ankles got tired by the end of the day (of course that could just be from old age). Fit was true to size.

Had to go up half a size. Now the heel feels a little loose, but I am able to get my leg into the boot with my socks on and the toe box is perfect. Not sure if they are waterproof (I somehow thought they were when I bought them, but now I am not sure). Overall, I loved the boots - has a classy, rustic charm.

Gorgeous boot! I got these less than 24 hrs. after I ordered. They are beautiful. My husband thought they looked great, too. They feel good on too!

These boots are super cute and so in style right now. My only complaint is the tight feel of my right foot instep. I was hoping the more I wore them, the nicer they would feel, but apparently these boots don't want to stretch! Still love them either way!

These are my first pair of boots I have ever owned and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I'm a very picky person when it comes to shoes, especially boots, and these are a good looking pair of boots. My shoe size runs 7 or 7 1/2 and I got it in 7 1/2 wide since I kind of have a big calf a slightly wide foot and the fit is awesome in the foot part very comfoertable. As for the calf, it's just a little tight but it doesn't bother me much at all. I'm sure the leather will stretch out a little.

I wanted this boot to fit me but it didn't. I have a wide foot and thin calves. Boot was tight in the foot, even though I got the wide version. Tight shoe box. Very handsome boot. Well crafted. Too bad for me.

Very stylish with a good sole and arch support for someone who stands/walks all day long and teacher! I have skinny feet and have trouble finding boots that fit. I was happy the width was perfect. I don't have much of a calf so the top wasn't too loose. There was some heel slippage but it was minimal.

These gorgeous, comfortable boots are my new favorites! Not only are they stylish, but the sturdy treads and waterproof exteriors are perfect for slick, rainy (and probably lightly-snowing) weather, too! I'm also a fan of their "green" factor. Overall: Love!

I am almost 70, conservative and can't wear heels anymore. I was pretty sure I'd return them. I put them on and I was in heaven! Great fit, great quality, keeps me warm, looks good with skirts and pants. Of course, Zappos service is the best.

Love this boot! I tried on the dark brown and the medium brown; preferred the lighter color (easier to see the details). I purchased my regular size (9.5W) and the boots felt a little snug at first, but after a few hours they were perfect. The most expensive boots I've purchased in a long time, but I have a feeling they'll last for many years.

These are right-out-of-the-box boots. True to size (I have wide feet). Comfort plus (I teach Zumba, a lot equals tired toes.) Smart and fresh looking (I look for classic styles and not trends, these are both).

These are great boots. I was concerned based on the reviews that they might be too tight because I have such big feet. I wear a size 11. But I guess I am an average 11 because they fit perfectly. I wear them to walk all around the city (I don't have a car) and they don't hurt my feet at all. I even had to run to catch the bus the other day and was glad I was wearing them. My one complaint is that they are actually a little heavy because of the sole so I have had to adjust to the weight of my own feet. But they look great and they do not bunch at the ankles like the other reviewers said. At least not on me. Yet another great Zappos purchase.

These boots are absolutely beautiful.The workmanship is top notch and the trim is first quality. I am 5'10" and they are nice and tall on my leg. The calf circumference is a bit smaller than other boots which is great for me since I have slim calves. They fit perfectly with slim jeans and have just the right heel height to feel sturdy and supportive. These boots would be great for walking, hiking, shopping because you can wear them for hours and they are still comfortable.I wore them in the house one night to break them in and forgot I had them on!!!

I love these boots! At first I thought they would be a little tight, but after 1 wear, I was able to break them in and they are now perfect! I keep getting tons of compliments on them too.

I loved the fit, style & comfort. They are just a bit too casual for what I what looking for in boots. But they are definitely cute boots. They are also comfortable right out of the box.

I wear 8 1/2 in shoes, sandals often just an 8. After reading other reviews I decided to go with a 9 since I usually wear heavier socks if wearing boots. I was glad I did. I haven't worn them much yet but they're a comfortable, very good looking boot. Where I live we have short dry winters so I may have this classic yet rugged style a long time.

Omg these are my favorite boots ever! They are so comfortable in addition to fashionable. I've received compliments on them from people who ride, even though I do not. No breaking in required. Important to night that these do not fit snugly and are almost a suede material through most of the boot, so there is a lot of give and they are softer and more comfy. So much better than I expected.

These are such a beautiful pair of boots! They are also extremely versatile. The leg has a buckle with several notches to make it larger or smaller, as well as the ankle has the same thing! This makes it very easy to get a comfortable fit. These are the nicest boots I have ever owned!
