I was so disappointed in these. I have had the Timberland Lexis tall boots in brown for 4 years and absolutely love them. They are so comfortable, warm, and stylish. These I found to be too thin and they bunched around my ankles which I hated, so they went back.

I ordered my true size, 9W, and they were snug in the calf (16.5") but have loosened over the year I've had them. Love these. Walk in them all day with no problems. I can wear a thicker sock if I feel like it. I wear with my Levi's tucked into these.

I love these boots! I bought them two years ago and pull them out each winter. I get compliments all the time and they do not go out of style. I even bought a pair for my mom!

Love these boots, but alas my muscular calves would not fit! Sides are super soft and the entire boot is comfy. Too bad I can't keep them!

I could have returned these for a size 8½ rather than size 9, except that the shaft was too narrow. I could get them zipped but they were too tight to tuck in riding pants etc. I totally love the boots though and it is a shame! They are made from very nice material, I am disappointed, but they are going back.

Of course Zappos service is amazing, as always. I love, love, love this boot! Very comfortable and stylish. Can be adjusted around the calves for a perfect fit. Got my usual size 7 and fits perfectly with normal socks. You may need to half size up if you want to wear really thick socks. Typical moderate arch support, and the traction is surprisingly good for such a fashionable shoe. I am in love!

I bought these two years ago and they are still great for walking around endlessly in any type of weather. Also, for 2 years, I have gotten many compliments, a ton from people who I have never met. And what's funny is that I have had a number of people yell out of their cars "Nice boots" and "I like your boots." And although I paid way cheaper for them in a sale that Timberland had, they are totally worth the price. I want another fresh pair, but my current ones just won't die. Maybe one day.

At first I wasn't so sure about these boots. The ones I had before I totally loved and couldn't find them again, so these were a second choice. The calf wasn't as secure as I wanted and toe box felt narrower than I had hoped. BUT After about a week of wearing them they softened up in the foot and started to form to my feet, legs and life. I really started to appreciate the solid sole and heel of this boot and the sharpness of their look and color. I am glad that I own these now and enjoy them thoroughly. I wear orthotics, also, so this affects my answers to the questions about size and fit. They are working well with my orthotics.

These are exactly what I was looking for. They fit like a dream and they're wide enough at the top to fit in straight legged jeans for me. I don't have a lot of skinnies. They're comfortable and just the right height. I debated for a couple of weeks before I bought them and I'm so glad I caved!

Could not be happier with these boots! They were super comfortable even the first time wearing them. Very stylish and durable. I got a few compliments the first time I wore them. Perfect addition to my wardrobe!

My new Timberland boots suit me so well. I am glad that I decided to get a little larger size then I normally take as they are a small fitting boot. The two toned leather affect is great. I feel good when I am wearing them.

I've tried about ten pair of boots so far and I think I finally found a keeper. Our first real snow storm is due for N. Illinois so I got these just in time. I have pain in my left foot and slightly wide feet. I stand all day at work so these are going to get a workout. They feel very good compared to all the others I have tried, including one pair of La Canadienne and some Cole Haan boots in medium width. I got the 8.5 W which is my normal size for a boot and these fit just right with a thin sock. They are leather so I'm guessing the flexibility will improve after wearing for awhile. They seem as though they will be good on snow and ice as well.

Ladies, it's true you should order a 1/2 size up with these boots, if you're going to wear thicker socks. Other than that I gotta say I love, the look and style of them. Can't wait to wear them.

These are nice boots! I got the dark brown color that goes with everything. They are casual classy boots. The fit like a glove. The more you walk the better they get. Out of the box I walked for four hours the next day I can walk around the world. I got a really good deal on them!

I ordered this 1/2 a size up because people said it ran small. I had to reorder. I'm a 6 1/2 in most shoes (but not my Nikes) My only problem after getting the 6 1/2 is that the shoe is a bit narrow on me, which is strange because I have a narrow foot and I normally order a narrow when I'm given the chance. I love the way this boot looks on and I love the color. I'm not sure if I should keep this shoe or not because I'm not sure if the leather will break in so I can wear them.

These boots just arrived and looked just like I was expecting but after reading reviews I ordered half a size up and they were too small and very rough inside. The zipper rubbed against my ankle. I would not last five minutes wearing this boot. Unfortunately back they go.. I am glad that Zappos has free shipping both ways. They arrived within two days, too. They are just not comfortable.

I have slender feet despite my size 10. Plenty of toe room and not loose at all in the foot or ankle (huge problem for me) and not too tight in the calf. Good tread, comfortable, and fits well with a decent pair of socks and jeans all the way up the calf, or just as good with tights. Could use a little more cushion in the footbed. I recommend treating the smooth leather with clear mink oil before outdoor wear. The leather was a little dry and scuffed easily, but looked beautiful (and water resistant) after. I live in the snow belt, so this helps against salt stains as well. Just make sure to always rub it in and let the boots sit overnight before wearing.

These are beautiful, well made boots but not exactly what I had in mind. I will keep them because they look great with jeans for a more casual look. Tried them with a sweater dress and they were too clunky (the lug sole should have tipped me off) The suede shaft doesn't stay up very well, maybe because I have very thin lower legs and ankles. Ordered the 7 and there was plenty of room to spare for thicker socks... Still looking for the perfect flat boot for casual and dressy.

These are great boots. After ordering several pair that didn't fit one way or another these finally did. I have larger calves and these did fit. They were snug starting out but have stretched enough to be comfortable now after a few wearings. I would recommend. They look great with skinny jeans and leggings.

I found the perfect boot. I've received so many compliments on the burgundy color. Very comfortable, and great quality. Looks good with skirts, skinny jeans.

I absolutely love these boots! They have a nice high arch and run narrow which is perfect for my foot. Also nice to adjust at the top and across the ankle. The leather quality is good and easy break in period. I am thinking about getting another pair in the darker brown. I have not had any issues with the zippers as some folks have stated.

Love these boots. I wear an 8 and ordered an 8 and they fit perfect. The height is great the circumference is great for jeans or with tights. They do look a little like police boots but I have always liked police boots. I have ordered many boots looking for the right ones and these are the the ones. I am keeping them!

I bought these boots as an early birthday present for myself--happy birthday to me! Just got them in the mail today, and I love them! I had a pair of Timberland boots a few years ago and remembered that they were very snug--almost too tight for my foot, so I ordered a 1/2 size larger this time and I'm so glad I did. Just as I remembered, they fit very snuggly around the top and back/heel area. If I'd ordered my true size I would've had to return them because they were too small. Other than that, they are adorable, very sturdy, and I'm sure I will live in them the next few months. Definitely buy these boots if you're thinking about it--just a half size larger...

I absolutely love them! My only issue is that they are a bit snug on my upper calves, but otherwise they fit very well.

This boot is amazing. It is durable and super fashionable. It looks exactly like the picture and the quality is amazing. My only comlaint is that it is a little bit tight/stiff on the top of the foot but i imagine the boot will stretch out and loosen up.
