I've been pretty happy with these. Merrells really work for my foot and I was relieved to find these boots as comfortable and supportive as the hiking shoes I have from them. I actually put a thinner liner in this boot because they felt a little snug, but my own liners aren't as supportive as the original ones so I'll probably put them back in. These are great in the rain, and they look cool. Zappos is great!

Love the boot. Visiting from Florida, got caught in snow storm in New York - had to purchase boots, and had a hard time finding one that would fit comfortably because of my bunions. I wear 7 1/2 but the 8s gave me enough room. Very comfortable and warm. Great boots.

These boots are comfy and cool. I've taken my dog on several long walks wearing them and they've been great. I've worn them in the rain and didn't get my feet wet. The only issue for me is that I have a narrow heel and if I don't wear the right socks, the socks ride down into the shoes. I got some Keen Concord crew socks that completely solved this problem. The combo is perfect!

I have been searching for a work boot and these are a win! I am in EMS and all the other military style boots are very uncomfortable on my feet. I own several pairs of Merrell shoes and I know they hold up to their word for comfort and durability. I have been searching for a black leather boot that is also waterproof that is not heavy, bulky, or too hot on my feet so that I would be able to use them at work in the winter and summer - these are the ticket! I highly recommend this boot to anyone who is needing a comfortable boot. I wear a 7 1/2 and that is what I ordered and they fit great! If anyone happens to read my review on this boot and know someone who needs a work boot and that is on there feet for extended periods of time, please pass this one on to them, they will not be disappointed - is anything they would love you for it. Nice, comfortable boot, keeps the ankles warm, lots of toe room, fits true to size. Can walk around in it all day with no discomfort.

I was looking for a comfortable waterproof leather boot and this was perfect from the day it arrived and felt wonderful from the start. I loved them so much I also ended up getting them in black. I love them! You can always count on Merrells to be great. They will be perfect for a trip to Ireland for any rain or damp days we may have. And thank you once again Zappos for your fantastic service. I found these cheaper on another shoe site and chose to order them from you anyway!

This is the best winter boot I've ever owned. It's comfortable, stylish and waterproof. I have never before found a boot with all three qualities. I plan to pull a Jackie O and buy it in black, too, because I just can't get enough of it.

I did not like the mottled color of the leather. The fit was fine (I always buy a size larger in Merrill. I am concerned that the sole does not look as sturdy as older Merrells.

I was looking for a waterproof ankle boot that I could walk miles in during the winter months but that was also comfortable and looked good. I found that in these boots. They are extremely comfortable and warm. I've walked 10 miles in one day with no discomfort. They were a little hard to get on the first time but once my feet were in the boots they felt great. Very stylish. Would definitely recommend these boots.

These are extremely good and nice looking shoes. I returned them with regret, but they were just too short. I was replacing a pair of Columbia boots in 9.5. I went up to 10 for these Merrell's and they seem shorter than my Columbia's 9.5. I'm going to try something different instead of going up to size 11, but I wish these had worked out.

Stylish and comfortable waterproof boot and best by far. Like the fact that the footbed prevents my ankles from rolling in.

I love this boot. It's great for winter walking and casual dress for work and play. I haven't tested how well they'll keep my feet warm, however, the boots do a great job keeping them dry. One problem - I had to order a half-size up, which was unusual for me. I think it was less about length of the boot and more about the fit on top of my foot.

These are great, classy looking and don't look like the typical snow/rainboot. I purchased these originally for just snowy or rainy days. I needed something lightweight, warm and waterproof. I had been wearing Muck Boots to work and hiding them under my work pants which was a bit awkward looking. Now I actually wear them to work no matter the weather because they are so comfortable. I wish there was a tiny bit more tread for traction on slippery surfaces but all in all a great waterproof boot.

These boots are perfect. They are super supportive, waterproof, and are just the right size for a thick pair of wool socks, but don't feel too large with thinner cotton ones. They also look great with long pants or a dress and tights. Best boots ever.

These are unquestionably my new favorite shoes. I try to wear them only every other day, but sometimes I fail and wear them several days in a row. I am a notorious pansy with new shoes. I hate break-in periods, I have fussy arches, and if anything rubs my ankles or shins or toes in a weird way, it's back to Zappos with 'em. Full disclosure: I use SuperFeet insoles, so I can't comment on the insoles that came with these shoes, but hooray for shoes that have removable insoles (harder to find than you'd think -- I'm looking at you, Sorel). But here's how comfortable these Tetra Catch fellas are: The day after I got them, I wore them first to the American Museum of Natural History (lots of walking to/from subway, obviously lots of wandering in the museum), to the grocery store (this is NYC, so that means walking home), and then stood on my feet for six hours working as coat check at a GLBTQ youth dance before a long subway commute (+ more walking!) home. My feet? Aces. I'd like to see your brand-new waterproof chelsea boot do that. I thought I'd only wear them under pants (and they look hot under skinny jeans, I must say, but look equally great under straight-leg trousers), but absolutely every girl I showed them to said, "Oooh, you should wear those with a skirt. They'd be so cute." The weather turned cold and I've been avoiding skirts, but you bet I'll be trying it out in the spring. They're perfect for women who want a non-pointy, non-heeled, stylish black boot that's comfortable immediately and waterproof as well. In other words, I may order another pair.

I bought a half size larger to accommodate thick winter socks, and they fit perfectly. Arch support is fine for me, but they could easily fit orthotics. Soft and comfortable footbed.

Extremely comfortable and I love the style of these boots. I rarely wear boots unless I have to but I really look forward to putting these on because they feel so good on my feet and I like how they look. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a comfortable boot.

Bought these right before a two week trip. Needed no break in; great for walking. Kept my feet dry in snow and slush. Roomy enough I could put my orthotics in them.

Very effective water protection. Despite that the zipper is a little hard to get on, it is comfortable for short walks around but needs more padding and arch support for extended walks.

These are great with jeans, held up in rain just fine. The footbed is very comfortable, unlike Nine West shoes that have no arch support. My ankle also didn't slide out of the back when walking which seems to happen with a lot of other ankle boots for me. The only reason I gave these a 4 is because the leather appears a bit rubbery and there is no lining on the inside. It's like they literally cut a piece of leather and that's it. I would buy again if on sale.

This is a good boot, but I would change a couple of things. The heel is too wide for my foot. The rest of the shoe is fine, but the heel does seem too roomy. I also don't like the coloring on the boot. It is hard to explain, but it isn't a solid brown color. Instead it has a couple of different brown tones that make the leather look more like pleather. That being said, I still like the boot.

These felt good on my feet and are well constructed, but they are just too plain looking for my taste. I also don't care for the mottled look of the leather. I will be shipping these back.
