I usually wear 10B or 10.5B. I ended up with 11 wide, so I thought these were narrow & small. And, you can't adjust the laces to be looser close to the toes, that area is glued together.

Even in a wide width, this shoe is still quite tight on my forefoot. However, it is wearable for me and I have run out of options. Other than the tightness, this is a great shoe and I notice a good difference in the alignment of my foot when walking, perhaps due to the QForm Technology. I've been wearing these shoes for about a month in all types of Boston winter weather, and they look much like they did when they came out of the box. I like the way they look especially because they are more in proportion to my foot and physique than the men's shoes I've been wearing.

I so want to love these shoes. They're cute, they're sporty, and I needed a solid shoe for walking my dog rain or shine. But they're just so uncomfortable! They're stiff, the tongue presses sorely into the front of my ankle, and the back rubs blisters into my heel when I walk long distances. I thought they might soften up, but it's been about a year now with no improvement. I will buy something else after I save up some money.

Love these...but they do run slightly small, somewhat narrow. Had issues with normal thickness socks, had to wear thin athletic style just so my 5th toe could survive a hike.

I ordered these shoes for my wife and she loves them. Very lightweight and comfortable. Not nearly as stiff as other hiking shoes she tried.

Great waterproof shoe. My wife wore them in a rain storm and her feet were dry and warm. The soles seemed a little bit slippery on a wet tile type floor but outdoors they performed exceptionally. They are a little stiff and takes some time to break in.

This is a great shoe, but it seems like they run narrow. Very comfortable, the firmness is great, love the Q-form tech. I'll be returning mine due to the narrowness, but I have to switch styles because there are no wide versions left in stock to try in my size. Just to give a frame of reference on the width issue, I have only had to purchase a wide shoe maybe 2 other times in my whole life.

Merrell has always been a perfect fit for me- but luckily, I had been told and already knew that now Merrells are running a half-size small (made in China, of course). I've worn these now for several weeks and am very happy with them. They might have been a fraction of a size longer because at the end of a day walking round in them I do feel a pinch. Otherwise, very supportive, have a rugged but still feminine look, and keep my feet dry-- just what I wanted in a city-to-trail shoe. Nice color combo, too.

I have a pair of Merrell casual shoes with the same OrthoLite sole, and love them. These, however, were not comfortable for me. The sizing seemed true, but the shoe was a little wide for a Medium width. The lower-cut ankle made the shoe feel a little loose, too, and the tongue was very stiff. I returned them, afraid they wouldn't loosen up in the tongue and even if they did, they didn't feel that stable. However, the arch support felt great. Someone with wider feet might find these very comfortable. I have a relatively narrow foot.

I really wanted to like this shoe! But, the fit was a too off for me to commit to keeping them. I think if I had, I would have regretted it on the trail. First, I have a very high instep, and I couldn't get the lacing system adjusted well enough so that the shoe wasn't squeezing my foot. Maybe ordering a wide may have helped. The other issue is that the heal cup is really shallow. It doesn't come up high enough to give me confidence in the necessary amount of support. Plus I was slipping out of it too much. I need a waterproof hiker and wanted to replace my old leather Merrells, but will have to continue my search.

I have these shoes in a silver color...and wanted a brown colored hiking shoe. This is much greener when you actually get the shoes. I like green, but not this much.

I have the regular old siren sports (and have through two shoe wearing-outs!) but wanted a waterproof version...these felt similar in the footbed but the ankle was super STIFF! Apparently it's the Gore-Tex. Not comfy at all, I couldn't wear them for a minute. Oh well...as always, Zappos service was lightening quick and awesome! Also, I'm a true 9 and always get 9.5s in Merrell, no exception here.

I bought this shoe as a winter replacement for my Merrell Siren Sport Omni-fits which were comfortable and soft right out of the box. This GORE-TEX version is stiff and the fabric seems crunchy. The toe box is small and unforgiving on my bunions. The padded tongue digs into the foot rather than cradling it. I have owned many Merrell walkers, but this style has a different fit. I'll continue the search.

I would give these a 4/5 originally. Until I wore them on a long hike in the sand, unfortunately they have been ruined since then. The sand got stuck in the layers of mesh and makes them fit uncomfortably. I have tried everything to get the sand out. There were small pieces of uncut fabric that rub in places.

I love Merrells but this shoe was too stiff and pinched in various places. The extra material around the tongue also bunched and was uncomfortable. Returned them.

Comfortable for many miles of hiking. My only complaint is that the front rubber toe guards started coming off after just a couple rainstorms.

I will have to return this pair even though I love the look. They run small and I wear an eleven so there is no sizing up for me. I am disappointed.

I bought these, and they felt great the first time I wore them. Then I walked down hill and discovered they press my toes -- which means s-o-r-e toes. Also, the sole is too rigid for my foot, and after a couple of hours I have pain. I'm not sure what I could have done differently since they felt fine walking around inside -- but now I have expensive, good looking shoes that hurt.

I would give the footbed of the shoe 5 starts because is very comfortable and doesn't need any breaking in. However, once i started walking, the tongue of the shoe and the area around the ankle is very stiff and digs into my ankles. It is painful because the material is so stiff. I really wanted these shoes to work since the footbed is so incredible comfortable, but I ended up returning them.

The shoes are well made and lightweight. They look great and they fit well (I ordered 1/2 size larger). But I have to return them because they rub on my ankle bones.

I bought this shoe one year ago and have worn many times, but this isn't my only pair of shoes. The Gore-Tex fabric has started to flake away and holes are appearing at the tip of the toe. The sole is still nice, but now the shoe is no longer water proof. I have purchased Merrells in the past that seem to last longer than one year. I won't be going with Merrell for my next hiking shoe.

I don't know what happened. I found these to be the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever inflicted on my feet! The laces cut right through to my skin and I literally couldn't take a step!

The sizing is off on these; they are too small. I have worn other Merrell size 10 styles and they have been the most comfortable shoes I have worn. It would be helpful if the sizing became standardized. The Siren Sport Goretex XCR shoe is not a size 10. After wearing these for one day, my feet hurt for 3 days. Had I been home, I would have taken these shoes off much sooner. Another difficult aspect of these shoes is that they have absolutely no traction on a wet surface. The day I wore them it was raining and I was in danger of losing my footing on all the surfaces I tried except for sand.

I'm wondering if I've been sent the incorrect shoe, because I'm less than pleased with this product. The shoe is "crackly" sounding when flexed (I assume the Gore-Tex is to blame?) and unbelievably stiff. I feel like I'm putting my foot into a cardboard box. I was pleased with the removable insole (very comfortable!) but the tongue of the shoe needs more padding, it felt thin and extremely "cheap" to me. I would not wear these more than a few minutes, the padding rubs the front of my ankle and I'm sure it would be raw in no time, no matter what thickness of socks I wore. The whole shoe is stiff and really alters my stride. While they are cute, they are the most uncomfortable shoe I've tried on in a long time. These are going back!
