Years ago I had a pair of Vaneli’s in the same classic Chanel like cap toe style. Unfortunately this version is not the same quality as I had before. The soles of the shoes were one continuous piece of plastic, including the heel. Too slippery and cheap. Sorry to have to return them but I did.

I ordered the size I always wear in Vaneli shoes and these were wildly too small.

I ordered a half size larger than usual and got the wide width. They were still incredibly tight and for nearly $100.00 I could not keep them since there was no guarantee they would eventually fit.

Great style but no support at all and runs very short. Width was fine as I have a narrow. Just not the overall quality and endurance I would like particularly with NO support at all. I had to return it, reluctantly, since style was so good. Long time devoted Zappo customer.

I can usually buy Van Eli shoes through the mail and be assured of a good fit. Not so this shoe. Ordered my usual 8 slim which, if anything, usually runs a bit wide. This shoe arrived feeling 1/2 size too short and FAR tighter than any Van Eli slim width I've ever purchased. The shoe is going back, which is regrettable because it was just the style I was after.

It's not a true size five. Was too long in the toe and too narrow for a medium, yet it fell off the back of my heel when I walked around on the living room rug.

Pretty shoe, very nice shape, good quality, feels good on the foot both standing & walking. Wanted a navy ballet flat without the little tie-bow on it, which is why I didn't buy the FS/NY equivalent. HOWEVER, Beware The Heel--the size and placement and slickness make it dangerous to walk on some surfaces. I fell once, and have almost fallen four other times. I take them to my studio to wear, which is fully carpeted and so of no danger, but that is the only place I wear them now, which means I need to buy another pair of navy ballet flats to wear everywhere else, kind of a waste really. I can't return them now, so I'll keep them, but I would Not buy more and I Do Not recommend them. I recommend FS/NY, have several pairs & absolutely love them in every way.

There's no traction on these shoes, particularly on the heel. I wore them to dinner today and nearly did the splits trying to get up from my table. They're also really stiff, and the sole is made of some hard plastic instead of rubber, so they make a lot of noise when you walk, which I don't expect flats to do. The arch support is great, as it is with most vaneli flats, and these are truly an adorable shoe, but sadly I'll be returning them.

They were very short for a 9 1/2…the width was fine

I've worn this shoe for years but this particular shoe runs long. I really want it but have to return it. It's more like a 9, not an 8.5. Good price though.

I own 4 pairs of serene shoes, all in 7 /2 Narrow, but this new colour combination is a good half size too large!!! New manufacturer? One would expect a particular style to fit the same but no. Also, the colour is not a light mocha brown as shown in the photo but a light beige as described.

I cannot review these shoes because I have never received them! I want them but of course they are not in stock now.

The fit was very tight - even with a 9 wide, it just wasn't what I expected. Sadly the "leather" was far from supple and rich looking, very disappointed as it looked very cheap.

The fit was very tight (and I ordered 9W) and the leather was not at all what I was expecting. Sadly, these shoes looked "cheap", so I'll be returning them. Too bad as I liked the look - at least online - once they got here they felt stiff and the leather feels like "pleather". Additionally the sole was cheap rubber. Disappointed - big time.

The ballet flat was extremely narrow and uncomfortable. Would not recommend!

Something wrong with these shoes: they crunch when I walk in them. Returning them to Zappos now! Thank goodness for free return shipping!
