These are great running shoes. I've been buying them for years. They are good for flat feet/low arches. Anti pronation. I have wide feet and they accommodate them well. I only wish they'd come out in some color other than grey once in awhile!

I love these shoes. Honestly, I think I will buy another pair as soon as I can swing it! Usually need a wide, but got a medium and it is perfect! They are kinda ugly, just my opinion, but I can deal with it because they are so wonderful to my feet! I can be on my feet all day long, and they don't hurt!

I've recently bought sneakers from Zappos. I decided to return them for a wider size. The return went so smoothly and quickly. I even called and spoke with a friendly person who helped me with my questions. I then ordered sneakers for my Hubby! Once I made my first purchase, all other purchases came within a day or two. No waiting is nice, so was the free shipping. :) I plan to make a new shoe purchase very soon. I might even venture out into purchasing from other departments too. Thanks Zappos!

I have special orthotic inserts to fit in my shoes so it is important that there is space in any shoes I get. Since you can take the liner out, Brooks shoes are well thought out in the design. The construction, especially the firmness of the sole/heel area is super important. I may cringe at the price but comfortable shoes are a must for day to day life. This is my third pair of Brooks Ariels I have had. It is the first time I ordered from Brooks and I love the speed of the service. They fit fine. But I knew that since I ordered exactly what I purchased previously. There was no need for me to try the return thing. Thanks Zappos for the care that you took with the packaging and the speed of shipping.

A very comfortable shoe for walking. I bought the extra wide because my toes go numb in regular width. The extra width helps, but it's also wider in the heel. My doctor told me to try boy's shoes next time, which are wider in toe box, same width in heel. This is my second pair of Brooks. I like this brand. As always, excellent service from Zappos.

I had been looking for a new shoe to support my feet, which severely over-pronate. I had been wearing the Mizuno Wave Alchemy, which was good, but when I put these on -- I can't even describe it! They are cushioned and supportive...they are perfect. I actually felt my face break into a smile. These shoes are divine. If you pronate, you will not regret this purchase! (This shoe is so incredible that I actually put this review on Nordstrom, too.)

This is the second pair of Brooks Ariels that I have purchased. They are very comfortable and great for people with ball of foot pain. They are also long lasting. My first pair I bought about 5 years ago and still use them for yard work.

This shoe is great. This is my 8th pair of these shoes. They are the only shoe that I can comfortably run in. The shoe has tons of support and looks okay considering it's a running shoe.

These sneakers are the best thing I've ever worn! I have flat feet that overpronate, but not extremely, as these sneakers are meant for. The cushioning is superb, as is the overall fit. I had to get used to the sneaker putting my feet into a "normal" position, especially when running. Even while walking for longer distances, I would feel the muscles that needed to keep my feet in the correct position. It took a couple days for my legs and feet to acclimate, but now I wear then daily and the pain free walking and running is great!

Long Time Loyal Fav - This is my running shoe and exercise shoe. This model has better arch support than last years version - a return to what they usually are. Excellent support. Long lasting and I’m tuff on shoes. I have a low arch, strong and wide feet, and pronate a bit. In last years model, I tried a wide and it was too wide and lacked support - so was afraid to order wide again. I recommend this shoe highly. I ran a marathon in Brooks when I was younger and never had a pain or worry.

Brooks Ariel - I have plantar fasciitis, Brooks Ariel Sneakers are the only shoes I can wear painlessly. I will never wear another type or brand of sneakers.

Extremely comfortable - A friend told me about this shoe and I was extremely skeptical. I have a lot of problems because of my feet (hip pain, back pain, etc). I normally have to buy new sneakers about every 2 months at most. These sneakers are very comfortable right out of the box, helps to maintain your balance, and has amazing traction. I can now go many more months before buying a replacement. I also bought the previous model and it feels just as great.

Absolutely the best motion control shoe ever - This shoe, and the Beast the men's version, are absolutely the best motion control shoes on the market. This updated model is my favorite version so far, it has a little more cushion and looks a little better. The Ariel and Beast aren't the coolest looking running shoes out there, but for people with bad feet like me they are a savior. I have read other reviews complaining that there isn't too much arch support, which is true (who wears running shoes without adding their own arch support or orthotic anyway?), but what they do have is amazing medial foot/pronation control, deep heel cup (perfect for orthotics), and overall very stable. While they are fairly pricey they are worth it as they last a long time. I do wish Brooks could find a way to make them look a little "cooler" or at least offer more color options.

Helga Jalajas - I have always liked the Brook's Ariel shoes. This is about the fifth pair I own. I like them because my feet feel very stable and supported in these shoes. My feet are very flat and wide and my orthotics fit nicely in these running shoes. I was very impressed with how fast the shoes arrived at my house. It was something like three days after I had ordered them on-line that I received them. Very good service, I'd say. If I put as much mileage on these as I'm planning on then I will no doubt order these again from Zappos.

Great shoe - Love Zappos - Went around town and tried on the Brook's Ariel after reading they were great for heavy pronators but no one had my size (11.5 wide). Was thrilled when ordering through Zappos and they volunteered to send them to me overnight at no charge because I was leaving town shortly. Use them for walking/hiking at least five days a week and they are sturdy, solid, and flexible enough for comfort, and have not had any blisters or break-in difficulty. Would order again. I wear orthotics but don't use them in these shoes because they make my feet spill too far over the sides. They seem to be supportive enough without them.

Great shoe! I love this shoe! My husband had bought the Brooks Beast (men’s version), and he liked them so much that I thought I'd try the women's version. I love the way they look and I love the way they feel. I don't use them for anything high impact, so I'm not sure what kind of support they would provide for those types of activities. They work fine for my needs - kickin' about, or moderate impact at the gym. It seems that they would accommodate an orthotic, if needed.

Best sneaker for overpronators!! Are you flat-footed? Do you have tendon pain between your toes? Do you suffer from collapsed arches?? Even if your flat feet are not causing these problems yet, THEY WILL!! This sneaker insures that you do NOT encounter further deterioration of your arches so you can run, run, run forever. When I start getting pain between first and second toe, I know I am due for new sneakers. As soon as I put a new pair of these on, the pain is gone, in and out of the shoe. Take care of your feet--pain is never a good indicator--and stop it before it starts. This is a great shoe for the moderate to severe pronator. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't run--just get better footwear!!

Happily walking again - I love these shoes! For years I have been buying New Balance. Then I discovered that these shoes really help people with flat feet. I bought my first pair and fell in love! I can walk for miles and feel comfortable. I am over 70 so this means a lot to me! They are wonderful!

Excellent stability and support - This is my third pair of Brooks Ariel and probably 7th or 8th pair of Brooks altogether. Brooks makes the best running shoes, whether you run or not. I've used a pair for both casual everyday use and working out. I have a pretty wide foot that overpronates and these fit and support me perfectly. I highly recommend.

2nd pair I've bought! I am very happy with these shoes. I need a shoe with a wide width and these work well for me. They are very stable (my ankles don't turn or roll inwards.) The comfort is great and they are very breathable which makes them nice for summer walking. Though I didn't wash them often, they came out nice when I did. They don't tend to look old as quickly as most shoes I have bought. I really can't think of anything negative about them.

I love these shoes!!! I 'm not a runner; let’s just get that out in the open. These shoes were recommended to me because I am constantly rolling my ankle. With the stability control in these shoes I haven't rolled my ankle once and they are comfy to boot. I highly recommend these shoes.
