I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and was told by my physical therapist that I needed to look into purchasing a pair of Brooks shoes in order to get my feet back to normal. As I had been wearing orthotics for over five years (with no help), I thought I would give your product a try. I went onto your website, watched the videos, was very impressed with the stability made into these shoes and I bought my first pair, the Brooks Ariel. I absolutely love them! I have never had a pair of shoes that I could wear all day and not have to take off immediately upon entering my home. I can wear my shoes all day long and not have to take them off until I get ready for bed! That sounds funny, but with the pain of plantar fasciitis, and not having the proper shoe for so long, this is a great accomplishment for me. These shoes are great, comfortable, and smart-looking. I have had orthotics and ugly shoes that had to be worn with them for too many years. Now I feel freedom to wear a pretty shoe and still have shoes that are healing my feet at the same time. Keep up the good work, I tell everybody with foot problems about your shoes, I even have my husband wearing your shoes now and that was a great accomplishment as he had his own type of shoe that he wore all the time, but now he is wearing Brooks and loving them. He cannot believe the experience and he has no foot problems. I could go on and on, but I will cut it off here. Thank you and keep those shoes coming.

These shoes are great. I hesitated to buy a running shoe for walking only. I'm glad I reconsidered. I have bad knees, wide, bunioned feet and I'm heavy. But I'm trying to change that and get moving. These are great for walking. They're sturdy and supportive and no pain after long walks. Highly recommend!

Have been wearing the Ariel for years and this new one fits a bit differently - apparently they have re-designed the front toe area to be a little longer/wider. Great if you need the extra toe room, but I went back and forth with sizes (thanks Zappos for the easy returns/exchanges!). My usual size 12 felt extra big, and I exchanged it for an 11 but that was too small. So I re-ordered the 12. They are okay but the heel area comes up a bit higher than it did in the older model, and it pulls my short running socks down inside the shoe - annoying! But love the shoe so I just bought new socks. Bottom line - still a sturdy shoe with excellent stability and arch support, but new styling results in a tad different fit. Worth a try!

These are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn. I have been going to the gym & after getting tired of my feet hurting, in addition to the blisters; I got measured. Found out I needed a EE; tried the New Balence 1st & took them back for these Brooks...with no regret...I wear them all the time & have not had any problems. Workouts are cushy & smooth now. My feet feel so good & Zappos even has EE dress shoes. Happy feet! Love this site!

Great shoes. Good arch support helps with knee pain. My physical therapist recommended these, and they are fantastic.

Good Shoes for Flat-Footed Over-Pronators! I've had flat feet all my life... I leave "duck" prints on board walks, but I never had a problem until recently. Age has caught up and the over-pronation started to bother my knees and hips. I needed to find a shoe that was more comfortable and this one fits the bill. It has good support and cants my feet slightly in an outer direction. Seems to work.

This is my third pair. I have PF and wear them with my orthotics. I try on different shoes every year and always come back to these. My PF has healed for the most part and for the first time in years can now wear cute shoes and heels for short periods of time. Best shoe on the market for foot problems!

The build of this shoe is like a perfect custom orthotic for me, but the toe box is too narrow. After many walks and many bandaids (to prevent blisters on toes), I'm switching to Super Feet and a wider toe box. (Otherwise, I'd have stayed with this shoe forever.)

My fourth pair of Ariels. I have PTTD, a symptom of which is severe overpronation. These are the only shoes available which completely support my foot. For me, they run true to size, are reasonably attractive, and very comfortable. I have a ranch and they hold up under tough conditions. I wish they would make them in more colors. I would love to see this construction in a dress shoe!

I ordered these instead of my usual Addictions. They are good, but they're not nearly as supportive or comfortable. This time, I went back to my Addictions.

I really love these shoes. Dealing with plantar fascitis, heel spurs and moderate pronation-finally found a shoe with high arch support and the comfort I need. Tried the Saucony Pro Grid Stabil and they did not come close in comfort for my feet. Working with Zappos is a most pleasant experience. Thank you for your excellent custumer service!

Great shoe. As noted, this shoe is 1/2 size smaller and more narrow than my normal size - 8 1/2 B which I tried on. It was very tight so I returned those for credit and ordered a size 9 in wide width - yeah -- it worked great! My feet overpronate and the Brooks have always helped! This is my second pair A few minutes ago, I just finished an aerobic step work out in these new shoes and had little problems (other than some pain in the middle of the foot - no fault of the shoes). I highly recommend for comfort! Also best uses for: hiking, exercise, walking, step aerobics - especially those who overpronate - this is an excellent shoe! Thanks Brooks!

I've been wearing Ariels for about 5 years now and they are wonderful. I tried the Brooks Addiction since the features seemed similar but the biggest difference is in the footbed and sockliner. The Addiction does not have the cushioning sewn in to the insole and the insert (sockliner) isn't as cushy as the Ariel, hence the difference in price and also in comfort. For the extra money the Ariel is far superior to the Addiction. I'm grateful for Zappos flexible and generous return/exchange policy that helped me compare these two models and confirm my belief that the Ariel is the far superior shoe. Thank you Zappos!

Nice shoe - fit well, but as I started walking the back kept sliding up and down. changed socks, same thing. Would definitely not order a size down, toe was positioned perfectly - weirdest feeling I have ever felt. Not for this price!

I have plantar fasciitis and a job that requires me to be on my feet 80 percent of the day, so I need good, supportive shoes as well as inserts. I've worn these shoes a total of five times so far and they seem to correct my over-pronation very well, are comfortable and the toe box is very wide. I did have to order a half-size larger, but the width is true. I'm happy with these shoes and the service at Zappos is beyond compare. They have won a loyal customer.

I think this is my 5th pair of Brooks sneakers. I love them. I have all kinds of foot problems and these give me the best support of any sneakers I've worn. They also wear very well. I wear sneakers almost every day, and I go to the gym 3 days a week. A pair of Brooks last me almost a full year with that kind of wear.

The service and product I have to give an A+ for. I've had the same tennis shoe before and wore them out. The new ones are even better as far as design goes. Fit was right at a 6.5. Thanks, Zappos.

Love the shoes. I've got flat feet so I have been advised not to run to avoid injuries. (I have gotten running injuries while wearing other shoes). Since I bought these shoes I have been injury free and enjoying my runs again!

I have a very wide foot that tends to pronate when I walk. This shoe is roomy enough for my foot and orthotics. It is very comfortable and I can wear it everyday for my 6 mile walk.
