Finally... I found it!!! I am 400 lb., an over-pronator, and I like to play racquetball. You can only imagine how taxing that is on shoes. I never found a shoe that could take those stresses until the Beast. And it is the first shoe that my outer toes are not crammed, worn raw, or even sometimes bleeding. The shoe easily compensates for my over-pronation. The wear has surpassed all my previous shoes. I can't believe I have finally found the perfect shoe for me!!!

Usually don't write anything on things I order but this pair of of Brooks is true to size and like walking on air. They are "comfy" shoes.

Great fit - I have been buying mt shoes from Zappos for years and I have never been more impressed with the fit and comfort of this pair of shoes. I have a very wide foot (4E) and at one point bought a 5E. These shoes were so comfortable I bought another pair in a different color scheme. Actually a customer review helped me decide to buy this shoe. Thanks Zappos.

Cushy! :) I'm a chick (tall, big feet, not toothpick) who used to run in the Addictions. Brooks redesigned (poorly) those, so I tried the Beasts. LOVE them even more. Lots of cushion. My legs tell me "THANKS!" every time I run in these.

Love these shoes! They are very comfortable for all day walking. Very cute and stylish.

Cure for over pronation - I am very pleased with the shoe. The beast has really helped in my quest for relief for sore ankles. I wear an arch support and the shoe and the arch work well together. I also would like to point out that the service from Zappos was outstanding.

Another Happy Customer - The shoes arrived more quickly than we expected and were exactly what was ordered. Although appearance was the least important item, these shoes are attractive enough for casual wear, not just exercise. That particular model is furnished in a size that's hard to find (high instep and wide forefoot), and fit just as well as remembered from the previous pair. We will definitely be buying other products from Zappos.

Beasts - I wear these shoes because my podiatrist recommended them. I have worn them for over ten years without a problem.

Great looking shoe in a beautiful red color. However, like the other reviewers, I found the heel strap to be too loose. Otherwise, it's another great Pliner shoe in a very classy style.

Comfort out the box - These shoes were comfortable right out the box. I am a nurse and I wore them to work, I took my old shoes with me the first day so I could have some comfortable shoes to change into while breaking in the new shoes. When my eight hour shift was over, only then did I realize I never need to change shoes the whole day.

Brooks Beast - The most comfortable and supportive shoe I have ever worn. Suggest to anyone with fallen arches.

Great shoe for people with flat feet - Added an arch support system and my feet really feel good for the first time in years.

Great Walking Shoe! My son and husband have had numerous problems with finding a shoe for walking. This is the first shoe that feels good and that has lasted more than 3 months without abnormal wearing along the sides. Both my son and husband are big guys, weighing about 230 - 245lbs. These shoes are the best for comfort and wear.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes! I just got them and wore them dancing. NO blisters and they're a perfect fit. Couldn’t\'t be happier. I know I'll be back after the holidays to get the black patent leather ones and maybe a few others.

Incredibly well constructed shoe! These are awesome shoes. My son pronates really badly and these shoes are the first that we have found that actually help him. His knees were sore for the first few days after wearing them as his legs got used to the new position. They are sturdy without being too heavy and really have a lot of structure to them to help the extreme pronator. He actually wanted me to buy several just in case they stop making them!

It may look a bit clunky - If you need a supportive well made shoe, this is it! I have a wide, hard to fit foot plus a partially frozen ankle and some toe drop. This is the shoe that best keeps my foot steady. It was unnecessary to "break it in" as it fit well out of the box. I liked the older model and I like this one just as well. Might be a bit wider than a usual 4E.

Great shoe - I broke my heel 2 years ago and can only run in certain shoes. The beast is the best ever I hope brooks never stops making them.

Motion Control! I like them a lot! Initially there was some pain adjusting to the motion control, but after a couple of miles it goes away. I would recommend this shoe to anyone with no/low arch.

I really enjoy these sneakers, they have great support and provide really good fit using the lace up system.

These are the most expensive, most supportive and most poorly made shoes that I have ever bought. Because they are so comfortable and my orthopedics fit so well I kept them. But I have duct tape inside at stress sites including both toes and the sides. The mesh is very weak and these shoes need more leather/vinyl at weak spots. I would only buy them again if they were redesigned.

This version of the Beast runs a little narrower than I'm used to, so you may want to get the next width up. Quality and stability is excellent as usual though the new lace pattern, specifically the loop located on the tongue makes for an inferior fit in my opinion.

I wear the Brooks Adrenaline but ordered this based on the good reviews. I liked the shoe but it didn't fit my foot as well as the Adrenaline. I wear man's 9 1/2 4E and this was tighter in the toe box area. So I'll go back to my fave since there seems to be a Brooks shoe for every foot. Thanks Zappos for selling all these great shoes!

Not as good as it used to be. I bought a pair a couple years ago and it was the best my feet have ever felt, but this last pair not so much. I guess when they changed the exterior of the Beast or something inside changed as well. It's still ok, but not worth what I paid.
