The Beast is a terrific shoe for anyone with ankle stability and/or over pro-nation tendencies. My podiatrist recommended it and although it wasn't available in women's sizes, I just ordered a size smaller in men's. It has proven to be a wise purchase. I live in these shoes. The service from Zappos was quick, efficient and friendly, as always.

I ordered these for my teenage son. He's on his feet at work and his feet had been hurting. After a couple of days his feet with these, his feet did not hurt. He also preferred athletic-looking shoes like the Beast. A local shoe store had recommended these and only had a 10 in stock and so ordered a 10.5 for him, and they were too small. It takes them a week to get the next size in, so I ordered from Zappos, because they are so quick and because I love Zappos! It turns out size 12 was the correct size. We received the 11, 11.5, and 12 in a series of three shipments from Zappos in less time than the local store got a new shipment in (because of their efforts, we eventually did buy an extra pair from them). The Beast shoes are about a full size smaller than his other shoes.

Love these shoes. But I've always loved Brooks shoes. They are very supportive and well worth the money. I have been able to run many miles in Brooks shoes. The only downside is the break-in time for them to be truly comfortable with running more than a few miles.

The only shoe for me...period. As, I get older the worst my feet become. There are no words for these shoes. This is my second pair and I will only buy this brand and style. I don't like anything normally but I love these shoes. Zappos is the best with fast shipping and amazing selection. Thank you.

The shoe is awesome but the company standards are what keeps me coming back for more! If all companies had the same philosophy with cs as Zappos, the world of commerce would be wonderful!

Very pleased with the shoes. They are well constructed and so far seem very durable. I stand on concrete at work for twelve hours a day and my feet have never felt better. Do not even wear my orthotic inserts anymore. My Brooks Beast are amazing!

This my fourth plus pair of Brooks, they are the absolute best! I have tried other top-end, Brooks most perfect for me. I am a 78 year old lifetime exercise fanatic so my things do get put to the test. I love you Brooks, keep doing it.

I have been wearing this particular shoe after my foot doctor recommended it for superior foot health, balance, and support. Because this shoe comes in very wide sizes; EEEE, I don't have to buy a longer shoe than is necessary. This is very important for arch alignment.

I love the Brooks Beast, very comfortable for people like me who have flat feet. This is the first time that I have used Zappos and will use them again. Great service.

I have ordered the Beast for over 6 years - one pair a year, they are fantastic! My feet are hard to fit and the Beast is always perfect, providing stability for my wide flat feet.

These are my new favorites! I have severe pronation in my left ankle and have had pain no matter which shoe I wore. New Balance MR1123 was the best I'd found but still had ankle pain even with them. After wearing out several pairs of the NB I decided to give the Brooks Beast a try. They seem to have much more stability and ankle support and my ankle pain is close to being gone at this point. I highly recommend this shoe if you overpronate. I had to order a half size larger than the New Balance to get the proper fit. I also have wide feet and the 4E width in the Beast fits just fine. I'm anxious to see how long the Beast lasts. I wear them 6 out of 7 days and the NB lasted about 6 months. I love my Beasts! Will definitely order more! Oh, and my custom orthotics fit just fine in the Beast, giving it the extra arch support I need. And I actually kind of like the style.

I am a big Brooks running shoe fan. Other brands were less than adequate. I have wide, very flat feet with no arch. I used to wear Brooks Infiniti II's, but found Zappos and talked to educated sales people whom steered me in the right direction. I have severe super pronation and wear down the outer heel edges of shoes quite rapidly. The Beast is known for excellent stability and motion control, so excessive wear on my outer heels is reduced a great deal, but does still exist. After running and wearing the pair of Brooks Beast a few times my feet got used to them and they really appreciate their comfort, stability, and support. I usually run 6.5 -10 miles approximately 3 to 5 times per week. I am in my upper 50's and very much enjoy the quality and comfort of the Brooks Beast running shoes. The size is true for me; the EEEE is great for my wide feet. For not having an arch whatsoever I guess the arch support is moderate or normal; and I would highly recommend the Beast to people with similar feet as mine.

My 14 year old son is the PICKIEST about his running shoes. I must have ordered and sent back 10 pairs of shoes to Zappos! Love their customer service. Anyway, he put these shoes on and has not had one complaint!! Unbelievable for him! Will definitely order these for him again when he's ready for another pair! Worth the money!

I just started running in these shoes and I am loving them. My feet are getting used to the extra arch support compared to my old Asics, but besides that I have no complaints. Compared to the Asics GT-2150 I had in the same size, these seem a tad wider. Overall, very impressed. As usual, great shipping and customer service from Zappos!

As a woman who works hard and stands on her feet all day, these are the Bomb. I can go all day on concrete floors and walk anywhere. I have arthritis in both ankles, and this is the only shoe that supports and protects all day long. Second pair and would buy again. Wear a woman's 9 and wear an 8 in mens in this shoe. Breathable mesh and wide toe box makes these shoes really comfortable.

I wish these shoes did not fit as well as they did because I would really love to get myself into cooler looking shoes. But darn it, they are too comfortable and they really work! I just wish they were not quite as boring. This model seems a bit lighter than previous years, and as a Beast wearer for several years that seems to be a welcome trend.

I got these to replace place a pair of New Balance shoes that killed my feet! I am happy to say that these are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn, and just to be sure, I waited almost a month before deciding on the review this time. That way I do not have to change it like I did the New Balance! I am a big guy and I run, which I guess is a sort of special circumstance, but these shoes fit the bill. They give me cushioning, support and control. I feel confident in my stride, it feels strong. Plus I absolutely love the style! These shoes rock!

This is my fourth pair of these. They are the only shoes I have found with such comfort and support for my wide feet. Zappos is a great company too!

I bought this pair for my son who runs. He has worn Brooks Beast for years and really likes them or wouldn't keep getting them.

Very comfortable shoes. I have owned about 6 pairs of Beast. I have loved them all. They fit true to size and were shipped very quickly.

It's heavy, not particularly good looking, but there is nothing else like it for overpronators or heavier runners. Works great for 50+ miles/week or walking shoe. I've tried several others, but always come back to the Beast. Through all the different Beast versions, sizing remains consistent - runs about a half size smaller than a NB or Saucony. Current is the best version since the leather ones of the mid nineties.

Brooks Beast saved my feet. A podiatrist suggested them for my plantar fasciitis, and I have not had a problem since. That was four years ago. I purchase a new pair every 10 months or so. As usual, thanks, Zappos, for your excellent service and style - I appreciate it all.

This is my third pair of Brooks Beast. I have severe plantar fasciitis and require custom orthodics. I have tried NB and Asics and no other shoe is more comfortable or fits my orthodics better.

A lifesaver. The only shoe that allows me to run without pain. Don't know how I got along without it.
