I own Keen sandals in a 9.5. I don't wear them with socks. Since I was ordering the boots for winter, I thought I'd give myself more "wiggle" room, and ordered the size 10. I'm glad I did. They feel yummy on, very chic. I won't know how they hold up to the elements, here in Maine, for several weeks, but I'm fairly confident I'm going to be glad I have them. And the purple? Non traditional, and I'm glad I went with it.

A fabulous all-around boot for long and frequent wear, now in a very cool purple. I wore the black literally every day last school year. Elastic and buckle calf adjustment makes the boot look good on a thinner calf but clearly expands for wider legs. If you need a big toe box, this is your boot. It's the most comfortable boot toe-box out there. I use a 3/4 insert for arch/heel support. Genuinely water-tough -- I splashed through inches of melt/rainwater for months. Holds up to other kinds of roughness too, for example, if you are treating your shoes (heat, alcohol) when you come home to get rid of any 'hitch-hikers'. This boot holds up better than any other shoe to this treatment.

I ordered three pairs of boots from Zappos before I settled on these. I love them so much. They are wide enough in the toe box to make even my badly bunioned feet feel comfortable. They are easy to put on, and very stylish. I get so many compliments on them. I am a Keen fan. I own three pairs. If they stay true to present quality, I'll be a lifetime fan.

I think I'm in love. I just got these, and my long quest for the perfect boot is finally over! They're still a tiny bit snug for my giant calves, but they're sure to stretch. They fit like Keens -- very roomy in the toe box, perfect for wearing with winter socks. They're a little roomy in the ankle, but I will happily overlook that. Thank you, Keen, for making a comfortable boot with an urban edge!

I love these boots! I have been looking desperately for a pair of boots that I could use day in and day out, and these are it. They are super comfortable, smell deliciously like leather and I get compliments when I wear them. Now I want them in black!

Love, love, love these boots. I am preparing for a European trip across five countries with one pair of boots that can look nice when I need to be able to do a photo shoot in Paris and still hike the Alps without looking ridiculous. These are the boots! I tried Merrells, Tevas, and Eccos but these are the most comfortable and seem to me to be the best quality. I have very high arches and small calves and they support my foot very well. My legs are still swimming in them even with a 6.5 but they will look nice with pants. I'll try to update with a review after I've done all the walking. As always Zappos is beyond amazing five star service.

I am happy with these boots, and will be happy if they last for several years. They are a little more casual than I anticipated, and when I walked for 4+ miles in them, they gave me blisters. But I should have worn thicker socks.

I love these boots. I put them on in the store and have worn them ever since. I was afraid they would be slippery, but they really grip the wet sidewalks. I also wore them in the snow and didn't slip around. I love the elastic in the calf, as my legs are big there, and the elastic makes them fit just right. I wear skirts and tights and these boots look great with everything. Great arch and support.

Got them on sale a little late in the season but our winter is lingering. They are really comfortable and not nearly as clunky as the Winthrops I've been living in this winter. Fit great for me with skinny jeans tucked in and then can tighten the buckles if I wear them with a skirt and tights. They clean up nice from a little mud and are the perfect height for me, I'm 5'3". They will be great next winter too! My regular shoe size is 6; as with all Keens I order a half size up and they are fine.

I was disappointed in the fit of these boots. The foot part of the boot is comfortable, but the shaft was wider and taller than I expected. The size 10.5 boot has a calf circumference of 17", not 15" as is listed here. I also tried a 10, which fit a bit better, so presumably the 15" measurement was taken from a smaller size. These boots were like galoshes on me, and came up just high enough on the leg to be very unflattering. I returned them.

I love these boots - got them to wear with fall skirts - very cute with those. But the unexpected thing was how well these have performed this incredibly snowy winter - the sole grips the ice, the leather does very well in puddles, snow and slush (I help it along with waterproofing stuff, but that was just because there was so much snow and salt on the ground that I was worried it wouldn't hold up - actually it did even without the waterproofing). I really like the way the typical Keen toe covering is modified on this boot, not as exaggerated as with other Keens, which makes the boot look much nicer. The color is great (I have the brown) and the buckles and stitching are cool. And again, they don't slip on the ice! This winter, that's been important.

I love the boots and they're perfect for winter. The calves were a little tight but not enough for me to send them back. They stretched within a week or two. I am still breaking them in and I've had them about a month, but they are comfortable.

Just got these today. The brown leather is very pretty and darker than expected or shown (a good thing!) but very stiff. This is my first pair of leather boots, maybe ever (I usually buy fake leather to save money), so maybe leather is always stiff. They feel sort of like casts! On my feet! I needed something that looked good with fleece jackets & jeans as well as nicer tops as I'm a mom running around in a minivan, but I didn't want hiking/rugged either. These definitely fit the bill, but wish the foot part was more shaped. It's sort of pod-like. I'm petite, not overweight, but have "sturdy" ankles and wider calves, so I have a terrible time finding boots that actually fit. These fit well around my calves but I can't tuck my boot cut jeans in. They're comfortable and definitely warm. I'm keeping these for sure but hope they break in and get softer, especially around the ankles where it's so stiff. These are not dress-up boots but I'd wear them with my jean skirts & tights, leggings, skinny jeans, and under boot cut pants and jeans. If they are actually water resistant, what a bonus!

I was looking for a pair of waterproof winter boots that are warmer than my Hunter's. They are phenomenal. I like the worn finish. Also, they fit from the first time I put them on. I didn't need to wear them in at all. My heel got a little blister, but I wore them with the wrong socks, and it hasn't happened again. I'm usually a large 8, and ordered an 8.5, and they were great. I also have a wider calf, and they fit, even over my skinny jeans. So much warmer than my Hunter's on those slushy, cold, wet days! I'm thinking of getting them in black too.

I love these boots. I have been wearing them since the fall because they look good but today I wore them in two feet of snow and they are fantastic. My feet stayed dry and warm during a round of sledding with my kids. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

This show was very comfortable, but is a pretty casual shoe and I'm not sure it is suitable for work or would look nice with dresses/skirts. It is beautiful however, and if I had a good use for it, I would keep it.

Great boot. Took a few times for the leather to stretch at ankles, but now perfect. I get compliments on them whenever I wear them. Also, very comfortable and sturdy. I waterproofed mine with spray. Ordered 1/2 size up based on reviews.

I love these boots, they are super comfy and I usually where a 9 but they only had the 8.5 and they fit perfect. Zappos is awesome!

My calf at its widest is 16 1/2 and that is 13 inch from the floor. I am 5’7” So keep that in mind...that the widest points of a persons calf can very per height and location on the leg. There was a tiny bit of tugging to get them zippered. But not A LOT! They stretched out and became more comfortable within a couple of min. I had enough room to tuck in my skinny jeans. I LOVE THESE!! The arch support is perfect for me! Like most Keens order a 1/2 size up. I wear a 9 and got a 9 ½, fits perfectly. And because of the room at the toes I can wear thick socks. I got the black pair. The leather is a tiny bit distressed but not like trashy distressed. It has a sheen to it so it can be worn with jeans, tights, skirts, dresses. The buckles are a lovely touch. My heel does kinda slide a bit in there...but not enough to complain. There is a bit of bunching around the ankle...but again nothing to really complain about. It doesn't ruin the look to me at all. I plan on using these for a LONG time! I love me some Keens! If you would like to see photos of my boots...I have them on the Keens website. :) GET THESE!! I want them in brown too! But I have to wait a bit for the prices to go down.

I got these boots for Christmas and I really like them. The arch is really supportive and the foot bed is super-comfy. I lasted through a 4-hour shopping spree the second or third time I wore these. I have also been able to wear these with boot cut jeans stuffed in the leg with no discomfort. I was also impressed with the traction the sole gave me walking on my icy sidewalks and over a couple of inches of snow. The only thing about these boots that was a little off was that where the sole meets the leather on the toe, there was a bunch of extra glue coming up onto the leather. It's not a big deal, just thought it was odd for a $150 pair of boots. And they're made in China. I was disappointed by that, but not enough to send them back!

The shoe is a bit clunky and the bottom of the heel is rounded on the edges resulting in my ankle rolling to outside on occasion. Yet they are a very comfortable walking shoe. If I had not worm them outside I probably would have returned them.

Awesome boots. They fit over pants, under pants, and work with skirts/dresses. Warm enough for Minnesota winters, yet not too warm for indoors. Very versatile and comfortable.

I liked the look of these boots, but they were too small and narrow. I always found Keens to fit true to size, but not this pair. The buckles are adjustable, so it would work well for anyone with a wide calf.

I'm pretty happy with these boots, as with all of my Keen purchases. They initially gave me blisters, and I nearly returned them. I'm glad I didn't, a short break in is OK for a good quality boot. They are very comfortable now. They are pretty warm too, even without insulation. With warm socks, I went for a 3 mile walk in 20 degree weather, part of it through snow, with no problem. My feet stayed warm and dry. This surprised me, as these seem more like fashion boots than functional winter gear. I like the way they look, and the practical heel is perfect. I want a little height, but can't go with a tall heel as a practical matter. I fully expect to get many years from these, so I can justify the expense. If it helps anyone, I wear womens size 8, in average width. I have fairly skinny calves, and the fit is fine. I can cram boot cut jeans inside the boot calf, or wear them over the boot comfortably. Both look good. Although I haven't yet, I could wear these with leggings or tights and they would look great. I kinda like showing off the top of these boots though, the detailing is nice. I would guess if you have a wide calf, beware if a tight fit. These seem to be made for my skinny calves. Overall, this is a good buy.
