I absolutely LOVE Keen shoes, but this boot was one I couldn't buy. The sole is so slippery that I was sliding around on the dry carpet in the store. Imagine going down in a slick spot on the street, or in a grocery store... NOT! Total bummer. Why did Keen do this? NO TRACTION!

I so wanted to love these boots, but they just didn't fit. The style is great, and the Keen footbed is wonderful, even if only because you can remove it and add your own if you wish. Unwisely, I only read the reviews that said the calf was huge and assumed these would fit my wide calves. Had I read the product details, I would have seen the actual circumference and avoided ordering these. My calves are 16.5 inches around, and these boots were only able to be zipped up with another person to help me pull the sides together. This is obviously not a tenable situation for my circulation, comfort, or ability to get ready in the morning by myself! Also, the boot is kind of short compared to other boots, so that's something to take into account. Because Keen is known for comfort and because their shoes accomodate a variety of foot sizes, I'm disappointed that they don't offer this boot in a wide calf size. I'm giving them 4 stars for the lack of that option, but these are a great pair of boots for someone other than me who has much smaller calves. So sad that I had to send these back! I ended up trading them for the Born Massi, which are also comfy, but not quite as cute as these.

Cute, comfy, true to size, waterproof... Love them! Also the calf size for tall boots is nice - I don't have huge calves, but tall boots can be a little snug on mine! These are plenty roomy and very comfortable. I walk to work in them with a smile on my face. :) LOVE that they come in purple, and it's not an over-the-top purple - just the right color for fall!

I read that these boots run small and I am often between sizes, so I ordered the 10. Too big. Had to get the 9.5. Very comfortable, lightweight.

I am very happy with my boots. I ordered them a half size big, and they fit perfectly foot and calf. I have a large calf, and they zipped (snug but comfortably) over leggings.

Cute boot. I think I have large calves because they are still a bit snug below the area that can expand. Overall, I like them quite a bit and am thinking of getting them in the brown as well.

Cute color, and I wanted it to work, but when I went up a half size as recommended it fit my toes but was too wide in the ankle and slipped. Returned.

Love these! I haven't worn them yet because its still flip flop weather here but I love the fit and they are so cute on I can't wait for it to get a little colder here!

Oh, how I wanted these boots to work for me. I loved the purple color and the fact that they were great everyday, wear comfortably with jeans or a skirt boot. But I could not get these boots to work for me. The leather around the ankle is quite loose and as I walked in the boots, the leather would crease and poke into my skin. Yes, they may have broken in over time and maybe thicker socks would make it less obvious but I'd rather start out feeling good about a pair of Keens and not hope that they'll be more comfortable than they initially feel. Still searching for the perfect boot.

The buckle comes off as a nice feature allowing you to adjust the size of the shaft but you really can't (try to make it smaller and the elastic bunches uncomfortably and I can't imagine having it stretched out would be any more comfortable) also a lot of extra room in front of ankle that I wouldn't expect in a boot with a full length zipper.

Great boots - fit true to size. These do not have the big toe cap, so they are a little more dressy. Love the buckles. Bought these in all three colors.

Major bummer: I love Keens and I was excited to get this boot. The leg opening was given, and I measured myself, but I could not zip these boots. Sorry I'm not a waif! I've always had this problem and it is really disappointing.

Truly the comfortable walking boots for fall! Leather is soft and supple and the arch support is excellent for my feet. A must have!

These boots are great! Very comfy and I see no problem with the zippers as others have said. They do run a little small; I usually wear a 7 and ordered the 7.5 and they fit perfectly. The purple color is nice because it isn't a "loud" purple. It almost looks like a very dark brown. I've ordered a pair for my daughter since she likes mine so much! Zappos is fab!

These are great boots, but they are way too small for me. They feel like they have a comfortable footbed and plenty of space in the toebox. They are very cute with nice leather.

These are amazingly comfortable boots! I wore them to Burning Man this year and had no foot pain after walking miles every day. One important thing though, these boots stretch out considerably! My size 10 boots are now an entire size larger after 1 week of excessive walking. I would highly recommend downsizing.

I plan on wearing these boots on a trip to Europe. So far they feel pretty good on my ouchy feet. I agree with another reviewer who said the keen black sole isn't as obvious on this boot. The leather looks rich and the buckles are of good quality. I bought a 7.5 size and there is room around my calves for skinny jeans and plenty of room for leggings. Not sure if I will be able to put orthotics in them because I went with my usual size and not a half size up. Has the bigger toe box that I need. Thanks everyone for your reviews.

Love this boot! I'm 5'2 and this boot did not look clunky. Perfect balance between style and function! Usually wear a 6 1/2, got a 7 and its awesome.

Really comfortable! Took these as my only pair on a 5 day trip to Seattle and the were great! 10 miles of walking and didn't need to be broken in, my feet didn't get tired either.

I've been looking to replace older Keen boots that I love for a while, so I decided to give these a try. I have thin calves and slender legs, and these did not work at all for me. Around my foot, they felt great and were super-comfy, but my leg was swimming in them and they just looked silly. They are also pretty stiff and sporty-looking, and wear more like a snow boot than something that might work with dresses or skirts. (Which I had been hoping for.) I returned these, and I'll keep trying.

While this is a handsome, well-made boot, I had to send it back. The heel felt loose on me, and the treads on the bottom didn't look like they would grip the ice well enough, and the leather felt too stiff. One previous reviewer said that they felt like casts, and unfortunately it felt that way to me, too.

These boots are comfy in both foot and calf, and they look pretty darn hip under skirts as well as pants and jeans. By the way, they fit well over leggings and skinny jeans too. Love them!

Not the comfiest Keen shoes/boots! I love Keen, have some that barely ever come off of my feet, but I've found that they really vary in levels of comfort. These boots are so cute and fit me great, would have loved to have kept them. But there was not that much padding in the footbed and the sole was a rather stiff sort of rubber without much give. Also, the arch area seemed a bit tight, with a very light sock, and I have an average foot. They might get better with wear, but I need something I can be in all day, and these were just not up to the comfort test out of the box. Sending back and trying a pair of Merrell's instead.

I bought these to wear with skirts and jeans for an "on my feet" job. I wore them a few times each week for six months and received many compliments. I really loved them. Then found a deep crack, that went all the way through the sole, on the bottom of each boot. I was stunned and disappointed. I had to return them!
