Cute color, and I wanted it to work, but when I went up a half size as recommended it fit my toes but was too wide in the ankle and slipped. Returned.

While this is a handsome, well-made boot, I had to send it back. The heel felt loose on me, and the treads on the bottom didn't look like they would grip the ice well enough, and the leather felt too stiff. One previous reviewer said that they felt like casts, and unfortunately it felt that way to me, too.

Not the comfiest Keen shoes/boots! I love Keen, have some that barely ever come off of my feet, but I've found that they really vary in levels of comfort. These boots are so cute and fit me great, would have loved to have kept them. But there was not that much padding in the footbed and the sole was a rather stiff sort of rubber without much give. Also, the arch area seemed a bit tight, with a very light sock, and I have an average foot. They might get better with wear, but I need something I can be in all day, and these were just not up to the comfort test out of the box. Sending back and trying a pair of Merrell's instead.

I was disappointed in the fit of these boots. The foot part of the boot is comfortable, but the shaft was wider and taller than I expected. The size 10.5 boot has a calf circumference of 17", not 15" as is listed here. I also tried a 10, which fit a bit better, so presumably the 15" measurement was taken from a smaller size. These boots were like galoshes on me, and came up just high enough on the leg to be very unflattering. I returned them.

I liked the look of these boots, but they were too small and narrow. I always found Keens to fit true to size, but not this pair. The buckles are adjustable, so it would work well for anyone with a wide calf.

I liked the look of this boot but the top is too wide. They fit more like rain boots than fashion boots.

I really wanted to love those boots, but ended up hating them the minute I put them on. The circumference (15.5") was too way too wide for me, but that's my mistake. They looked more like plastic than leather. The material was so thin that I could see my feet bone. The shaft lining is very, very thin. And they felt narrower than marked. Too bad. I really like Keen. But those were not for me. To be fair, I've been wearing the same pair of Dansko boots for four years and nothing will ever come close to the comfort and the warmth of the shaft "cushioning." Too bad they discontinued them (probably because they last too long). I'll try Merrell Captiva next, without much conviction. Bottom line: for women with thin feet and large calves who don't mind the look of matte plastic rain boots.

I own a number of pairs of Keens and they are all so comfy. I was very disappointed to find that these were terribly uncomfortable. I had terrible heel pain after wearing them for only an hour. They are good looking boots, but had to go back.

I'm sorry Keen, I love you guys, but this time you missed the mark. In person, the boot looks like a cross between a rain boot and a combat boot. The nail in the coffin for me is that there isn't even any tread! The bottom is smooth and shiny with a few grooves, but it looks like it doesn't give you any traction at all. I will be returning them.

I want to love Keens because I love my sandals, but I'm struggling with the boots. These are cute and comfortable, but the sole is horrible for a boot - very slippery and plastic-feeling. Not a good winter boot if you're worried about ice and snow.

The material is too firm and it does not feel comfortable especially walking up and down the stairs. I love Keen shoes and have owned many of this brand but unfortunately I am returning these.

Tried these on in the store. They are frighteningly slippery on the bottoms. I love Keen shoes, but not sure what the designers were thinking with this one.

I bought these to wear with skirts and jeans for an "on my feet" job. I wore them a few times each week for six months and received many compliments. I really loved them. Then found a deep crack, that went all the way through the sole, on the bottom of each boot. I was stunned and disappointed. I had to return them!

Loved these. Bought them for a trip to Scottland and walked all over Edinburgh warm, snuggly and dry. Very comfortable. Sad we've had too little rain this year to wear them much, but they are good looking enough to wear them even when it's not raining.

I've worn this boot non stop for three winters in the midwest. I love the extra room in the toe box and that it seems virtually waterproof.

I absolutely love these boots. I bought these 4 years ago and have worn them religiously every fall and winter. The leather is sturdy and holds up incredibly well to the elements. The shaft is wide enough to wear with heavy socks and pants. I initially was worried about the tread because it's pretty smooth but in four years I've not slipped once. I might add that after four years the leather still looks impeccable. The only sad thing is that after years of heavy wear and tear I've finally cracked the sole where the ball of my foot hits. Unclear if the sole is cracked clear through as I haven't had wet socks yet. I'm so sad to have damaged soles and hope that I am get a few more years out of these boots.

I was hoping to find a dressier black knee length boot but settled for this because it is so comfortable. It isn't an official wide size, but the toe box is wider than average and my toes are quite happy in these boots. I have worn them more than expected. Can't say enough about how comfortable they are for a wide foot. If only the leather was just a little dressier, I would wear them with skirts. I have a few Clark brand boots from years ago that I love, but their sizing is all over the place now.

I love that the calf circumference is adjustable with the two buckles. Great fit, cute boots.

I normally wear an 8 in Keens and considered going up half a size to accommodate thicker socks. I'm glad that I stuck with an 8 because they're a perfect fit. I tried them on with my thickest and thinnest socks, and these boots are comfortable no matter how thick/thin the socks are. I've worn them with leggings, tights and skinny jeans and they fit great in the calves without leaving too much of a gap or giving my legs a claustrophobic feeling. I haven't had any issue with the soles being too slippery either. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and I know I'll be getting lots of wear out of these!

Comfy footbed that Keen is known for in a boot you can dress up or down, and will keep your legs warm. I'm an avid walker in urban setting, and have worn these all day for weekend errands, dog walks, driving, and they keep up and my feet stayed dry in the rainy Seattle weather. Pros: cushioned footbed, decent traction, versatile toe box that doesn't scream comfort shoe, and doesn't pinch your toes, good arch support, and they are BREATHABLE even thanks to the leather lining. I also love the details, like the felt strip that runs along the zipper so that you can wear these and not have the zipper snag fabric or feel cold against your leg. Con: I wish that these came in a narrow boot shaft, because even though I have fairly muscular calves they are kinda wide. They do have buckles which allow you to adjust the width on the side, but I find the bunched up elastic goring is kind of silly looking. I would recommend these boots if you want a comfortable, quality made boot and you don't require a heel.

I cannot tell you how much I love these boots. I first bought them in 2010. I lived in Alaska and wore them non-stop through the winter, spring, and fall. I had no issues with slipping on snow or ice. I could wear them through the snow and into the office and still be cute. I continued to wear them through airport overnights, city visits walking everywhere, out at night..... They just now (6 years later) are worn out to the point where I need to replace them. I am ecstatic that I can buy the same ones.

I love these boots ! Comfortable right out of the box. I had previously owned a pair from many years ago. After six years I was ready to replace them for a new pair. These are just as great as my original ones I loved for the last six years but newer! I would highly recommended mend these to anyone considering them. They work as a great rain and snow boot too! Love them.
