Forest Night is the color I purchased and I loved everything about it except that the lining color is a light tan which ever so slightly peaks out of the top of the boot and is really noticeable especially when wearing with dark jeans. I ended up returning them and buying the same boot in black (with black lining).

I loved these boots when I got them and I wish I could have loved them longer. Apparently these boots are not meant to be worn every day. The soles on both boots cracked right at the ball of my foot quite soon after getting them. They are ruined and I've had them less than a year.

Very comfortable, they felt great when I put them on. These are not high enough for me, they hit mid calf on me (I'm 5'9"). The main problem I have with them is they are NOT dressy at all. They are very casual, I would only wear them with jeans or leggings. I don't know what type of skirts and dresses other women are wearing with these, but it would not be a good look for me with my dresses and skirts!

I have average size calves but small feet. I was so happy to find that these boots came in my size, 5.5 but am surprised and disappointed to find that they are way too tight on my calves! I have never needed a wide calf boot in my life. They wouldn't even zip more than halfway up my bare legs. I am going to pass on reordering this same boot in a wide calf because I really don't know what to expect - my ankles are pretty small so I don't want them wobbling in the the boot. I compared these boots side by side to some of my other (regular calf) boots and noticed these are at least one inch smaller in the calf. It's as if these are kid-sized in the calf width only. One good thing is that the length of the foot and shaft are very true to size. Too bad the calf is so narrow! Has anyone else had this problem with small sizes?

I love these boots but at the end of my second winter wearing them, the sole split completely in half. Can't be fixed. I did nothing unusual in them. I'd hope they would last longer than this.

These boots are extremely comfortable and look really nice. I wear them often with jeans or leggings/tights and dresses or skirts. Great for spring, fall, and most of winter, actually. I have taken them on trips to Europe and worn them daily for lots of walking, they are so comfy that it's not a problem. Which brings me to the my only issue with the boots. I have owned them for a little over a year, and with all the walking I do, the sole is starting to wear. Totally normal. Since the outsole is one piece of molded rubber, it can't be replaced. Which means that after another season the sole will be worn so much that I can't wear them anymore and in the meantime the boots is in perfect, lovely, condition. That's why I give them only 2 stars. I'll have to throw them away when the boot top is in perfect condition because they can't be re-soled.

I've had these boots for more than a year and want to love them. I like the way they fit (snug but nit too snug) and I get tons of compliments on them. However, if you are looking for a sole with traction, these are not the boots for you. I have fallen twice in these and injured myself both times. Currently I am looking to replace them with a boot with more traction, and since the last time I fell in them I scraped the leather on the side of one of the boots beyond repair.

I don't have especially skinny legs, but when I tried these boots on with tight jeans that tuck inside them, my spouse said, "It kind of looks like you're standing in two buckets." It's a shame, because they look great up to just above the ankle. Also didn't work under a long skirt or pants as a result of how broad they are at the top.

From all the great reviews I wanted to love these boots, but honestly they are just...weird. For a few reasons. First, even though they zip down quite far, when I slip my foot in the lining tugs on my sock and makes it really tight around my toes (does that make sense?). Second, they feel quite a bit smaller than most 8.5 Keens I've worn, and I've worn a lot. With that and the sock tugging issue, these boots make me feel trapped - like I can't wait to get them off. Third, they break in a funny spot on my ankle that just doesn't feel good, and seems like it'll make the ankle section creased and frumpy over time. And fourth, they just don't have a lot of shape or style, especially around the foot. They look a bit like a rain boot, just kind of shapeless and blah. I like flat/no heel shoes, but the soles on these are so flat and shapeless they look like slabs on my feet. The two buckles on the top are nice, but not enough to give the rest of the boot much style. I'm not a big fashion girl, but Keen usually puts a little more design into their shoes/boots. Would love to see some cool stitching or just a bit more shape to make them more interesting and more comfortable. These Bern Babies are going back.

I was so excited to get these boots but when they came unfortunately they didn't live up to my expectations. I've worn Keen shoes for years and have found that they are among the most comfortable shoes I own. These boots didn't seem like Keens at all. They were too narrow and tight. I'm average size and I could barely zip the boot. It would be impossible for me to wear jeans or leggings tucked into the boots. This was a total fail for me.

I own about four different pair of Keen's. I normally wear a size smaller in them since they run big on average. These were no exception. They were a bit too loose and I could feel that my foot was going to swim around in it (not a good feeling) and they were bagging around the ankle. All together too little support. I loved the style though and am sad they didn't work out!

The fit was good until I tried to zip them up, I have a 14.5" calf and this boot was too tight (bare skin), even after unbuckling sides. I could not get them zipped up all the way. I liked the quality and style for a waterproof motorcycle boot, I just need to order a larger size.

I read customer reviews before ordering and I ordered a size larger. The boots were too large, which made them very uncomfortable. Soles don't have any traction.

I bought this "same" boot three years ago. Loved everything about them. They were a great winter boot. I was very disappointed when I opened the box and saw the "new" version of the Bern Boot. Looks really cheap with its shinier finish. No contrast stitching on front shaft or back of heal. No fleece lining thus the '2' for comfort. Sending them back. :(

I bought these boots in the grey color. I was expecting something similar in quality to the pair of Keen boots that I already have. I was very disappointed when I got them. The "leather" was very stiff, unlike my other pair. They made a horrible squeaking noise when I walked...not the boots themselves but the friction between the bottom of the boot and the floor. Also, the description says they are lined in leather. These were not. It was some sort of black foam type material. I sent them back the very next day.

I received these boots as a gift a couple of years ago and I love the style and fit. Despite that, there are some big problems with these boots. First of all, the soles are very slippery. There is little depth in the tread right away when you get them (which should have been an indication of things to come), but I kept them anyway and learned to walk with care. Second, the shaft of the boot is adjustable, but if you make them any smaller than how they come, they look goofy. The elastic panel looks all bunchy. I ended up just wearing thick socks to compensate. Then, this year on Halloween, I ended up with wet feet for the first time and to my surprise, found that both soles had split clean through to the insoles across the pad of my foot. I took them to a cobbler, as the uppers are still in perfect condition, and he told me there is nothing he could do. He also indicated that I should not expect to see this kind of wear until 7-10 years of heavy use. I wore these shoes for two years, four times a month and never in summer. Since the shoes are a couple of years old, the company will not replace them (warranty only lasts a year and specifically states it will not cover wear on soles!). I searched online to figure out how to save them myself and found numerous reviews of people having this same thing happen to them in as little as three months! I can not recommend that anyone purchase these boots. I will never purchase Keen shoes again. Save your money!

The style is what I've been looking for. However, even though it's labeled with my size it is at least 2 sizes smaller.

I loved these boots initially but then the zipper broke. I contacted Keen and they informed me that they only guarantee their winter boots for one winter season. Maybe you will never have problems with the boots, just know that if you do, Keen will not help you. Buy from REI so that you have some recourse. I will never buy another pair of Keens since they do not stand behind their winter boots.

I liked the look of this boot online, but when they arrived, they were way too big in the calf, so looked very unattractive on me. Not so comfy either. Zappos service great as always.

I have owned these boots for two years and have loved them. They are incredibly warm and comfortable, but most of all they are cute. I have had so many friends ask me what kind of boots they are because they want them. They do lack traction in snow and ice. Unfortunately, the zipper is tearing away from the boot and they are falling apart! I am so disappointed in the craftsmanship of these!
