These cute mary janes are super-comfy to wear. I was really looking forward to using them as commuter shoes. They felt very big all around, however, so I had to return them. I would have taken a 10M, but heeded other reviewers' recommendations to order a half size down. They were still a bit too long and the top of the shoe did not touch the top of my foot. I did not want to court blisters by wearing shoes that my feet slip around in. Keen has a great reputation for comfort and durability - my husband always buys Keen shoes. I will try to look for another style, because the cushioning can't be beat.

Very bulky look. Not the little ballerina look I wanted for skinny pants or leggings. I think my running shoes look better. If you love mary jane athletic shoes and you don't mind a big looking shoe, it is worth trying for comfort. Runs maybe a half size big. Has removable sole for orthotics.

I have been looking for shoes that could multi-task on a two week trip to Japan. We will be doing a bit of light hiking in the mountains along with extensive city walking, but I'm only taking a small backpack and I don't want to bring the extra weight of my beloved Keen hiking shoes for only a couple days' worth of hiking. Enter Keen Toyah MJ! These fit almost exactly like my Keen hiking shoes, so I understand now the comments about the strange fit and why they have the wider footbed and extra toe length. They are fairly cute with skirts and dresses, but don't look out of place with leggings and hiking socks either. Most importantly, they are comfortable just like my hiking shoes. All that said, if I was purchasing these for everyday wear, I might have sent them back because they are a little long and make my size 8.5s look pretty big (my husband used the term "Bobo shoes"). The only other negative thing I have noticed, that I think a couple of other reviewers mentioned - after about 2 hours of wear, one of them started rubbing my outside ankle bone just a little bit. I simply put some plain $2 flat foam shoe inserts from the drugstore under the existing footbed to raise it a little bit and now they are fine.

I really like these shoes! They are my new favorite Keens. Why? Because I originally liked Keens because of the really roomy toe-box, and this shoe has just that! Also, I really like the way the footbed feels going from the arch into the heel; the heel is almost "cupped". I've had a lot of foot discomfort in the last year or so, and these shoes feel great. Also, the strap is adjustable and fits well over my rather high mid-foot. I strongly recommend them! I wish Keen would make them in blue! I usually wear a 9 in Keens and sometimes they have been tight; these in a 9 fit great with a sock.

I ordered these a 1/2 size smaller because reviews were that they ran big. But they were really big. Normally I wear a 7.5 in Keens and other shoes. So I ordered at 7. I think I'd have to re-order at size 6.

They're B width all right. Too wide for me but cute enough that I wanted to try them. Don't waste your (and Zappos) time. Keen, please consider making some of your styles at least in Narrow width.

I loved the comfort, loved the wider size, but I disliked the plastic exterior. I only wore them for a couple of minutes and just couldn't get over the fact that they remind me of a chunky water shoe, a cheap (but very comfortable) one at that. I really like the style, but again, the plastic exterior looked too cheap in appearance for the price. And that's my fault, I thought the exterior was leather, or something close, so I don't blame the Keen. I just wasn't familiar with their product. On the plus side, Zappos is incredible...love the professionalism of their service. I rarely shop anywhere else, their shipping is fast and free returns.

A bit darker than expected but I still love them! Also I couldn't believe that they were slightly big either. I've always struggled with my size 10 feet being too big for shoes not the other way around. But I will not be returning them, they look and feel great!

Finally! Putting on this shoe is like coming home after working a double shift and putting your head down on your pillow! So comfortable! Are they high fashion? NO! But I'm not a high fashion kind of girl. I work hard and demand comfort. Love these shoes!

Researched & ordered based on the many favorable reviews. Fit was horrible, however, for my feet (non-meaty / med width, so oftentimes Narrow sizing work better). Not only does sizing run large, many other aspects also big -- side width, front top, heels! My feet were swimming in these! Reviewers also reported great support. I found this not to be so -- more like 50% for my high arches. No comparison to my Olukai & Chaco zoris. Cute chunky MJ otherwise.

I was really hoping that this shoe would be the one but sadly it was not. I can see that people with wide feet would like this shoe and I even think it would have been okay for my not so wide feet but the arch hit too far forward and it wasn't a soft cushion arch either. It also seemed that my toes were touching yet they were slipping off my heel. Odd fit for me. Oh well, back for the hunt!

Great fit! Comfortable and a nice alternative to either running/tennis shoes or dress flats when running errands, or going to work in my business casual office.

I have wide feet with plantar fasciitis and must wear an orthotic. Its hard for me to find shoes that are cute and comfortable AND that can accommodate my orthotic. These are nice. I wore them all day yesterday and did a lot of walking. They are well made and as usual with the Keen brand, they are made of high quality materials. However, the sizing on these shoes runs LARGE. I wear a size 6. I ordered and received a size 6 and they were huge! i returned them and ordered both a size 5 and 5.5. Ended up keeping the size 5 and even then my feet have a bit of room lengthwise. Also, I have a high instep and while these aren't uncomfortable they could be a bit looser on the instep. also I need a bit more length in the strap. But then again, I have problem feet. Other than that these are great!

I am a nurse who works 12 hour shifts and walk a majority of the day. I have worn Keens for the last 4 years, but my old shoe was discontinued so I had to search for something new. I ended up buying some Dansko mary janes and wore them for 2 months. My feet were in agony, they felt like they were cramped up into little balls at the end of my shift. I also tend to roll my feet outward and those shoes didn't help. I ordered the Toyah from Zappos, and of course received it immediately. My feet went "aahhh." It took a few days for the old ache to heal, but I have not had a problem since!

I was very hopefully about this pair of Keens but unfortunately it is too wide for my narrow foot. I ordered an 8 1/2 rather than a 9 and it still slipped on my heel. I'm not sure even purchasing an 8 would work due to the width. It is a BEAUTIFUL shoe. Oh how I wish I did not have to return them.

I bought these based on the review that they are so comfortable. They were ok, but not great. The description says that they have good arch support, but I found my pair to be rather flat. After wearing them every day for about two weeks I developed plantar fasciitis. The shoes were the only thing that I changed in my daily routine, so I really think they were the problem. After my feet healed, I tried them again and at the end of the first day of wear, I was in pain again. This was a lot of money to spend on shoes that I cannot wear. I am so disappointed.

I LOVE these shoes! They fit beautifully right out of the box--I have wide feet--and I have never felt uncomfortable wearing them. I should say that I have to wear a wide in ALL other shoes, so these are wider than normal. They needed no breaking in! I got the brown color, which is very conservative and looks quite nice with khakis. I also have plenty of room for warm socks in these shoes. They are clunky but I knew that already, having owned some Keen Mary Janes a few years ago. I still think they're pretty cute for "comfy" shoes. I have done a lot of walking in them, and my plantar fasciitis doesn't bother me at all. Now I just need more colors!

I really wanted to keep these shoes. Sadly, they are going back. When I put them on for the first time they felt great. The arch support was wonderful and they are super cute. However, the back of the shoe is so wide it flopped when I walked. A 1/2 size smaller would be to short. So back they go!

These have awesome arch support but the heel is too wide. It flopped off my foot with each step. The size was right and had I gone down a size they would have been too short. I wear an 8 (and that's what I ordered; usually Keen's run small, but not these) with an average width foot. I wish I could take the footbeds out of these and put them in the Sterling City mary jane. That would be awesome!

These shoes are super comfortable and well made! I need shoes with good support and Keen shoes always fit so well and provide that needed support. I really like the style too! They are great for casual wear as well as for dressing for work. Keen shoes do tend to run big. I usually wear an 8.5 with other name brands and in Keen I need size 8.

After a whirlwind of ordering shoes, sending them back because they didn't fit, and then ordering another pair and sending those back, too, at last I have a pair of shoes that fit my feet, bunions and all. The Keen Toyah MJ was just the ticket. Nicely made. Plenty of room in the toe box. Keen doesn't make a women's wide shoe and at first I was sure I'd spend the rest of my life in athletic shoes that looked like boats. I was wearing a size 9 wide because I needed toe room. That meant my shoes were loose and floppy and I had to wear all sorts of orthotics just to keep them on my feet. With this shoe, I'm back to a size 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly right out of the box. So, eat your heart out Dr. Scholl's I don't need you anymore. And Zappos, thank you for your patience, good humor and your free two-way shipping policy. Now, if only Keen's made women's cowboy boots.

These shoes were great except when the straps started falling apart less than 3 months after I purchased them. I think it was about 3 months. I felt they also seem bigger than the size marked too. Luckily for me, when the straps were falling apart, I emailed Zappos and was given a full refund for return of the shoes. I loved the shoes as they were so comfy but not even a year passed when the straps started to fray apart - in the actual elastic itself.

Great shoes! Cuter on your feet than they look in the photo. Bought specifically because of other reviews noting they were helpful for people with plantar fasciitis. I can confirm this is true. These are not quite as comfortable as my Naots, but more comfortable than anything I've tried outside of Naot. And, a lot cheaper than most Naots. This is a bit tougher than my Naots -- better for outdoor walking. Would totally buy in another color if it were available in my size. Does run a tad short and the heel is wide. I was able to compensate for the wide heel by tightening the strap.

These are fantastic shoes. Felt great right out of the box, very comfortable and cute. My feet are quite wide, and the toe box on these Keens is nice and roomy. I can tell I'm going to be wearing these a lot.

I have just purchased my third pair in 3 years, a black and a brown to wear any time plus a black to stay cleaner for going out with friends. Wear them 3 seasons with heavy or lighter wool socks. So comfy and I can stand/walk all day.
