These rain pants have been great. I used them working grounds where I was always getting sprayed by sprinklers and such and never got wet. They have been used well and are still holding up. Great lil rainpants. Just wish they were packable and maybe had a couple side pockets or something. Great basic rain pants though.

Love these pants. They are awesome for Spring - Winter. In winter perfect to layer with thick leggings. However, it would be GREAT if they had outside pockets on the hip!! With or without a zipper. I would buy another pair if they had pockets. Also, other colors would be great too. White, blue, red, orange, purple. I walk my dog everyday and these pants are nice medium weight quality material.

These are nice rain pants. They are a little thicker than I was expecting. They are waterproof, attractive, good quality and fairly lightweight, just not quite thin enough that I would stick them in a backpack. However, wore during several days in Iceland, and kept me very dry. I recommend them, especially for the price!

I have recently bought this pant and used it for the first time last week in Alaska, during an all day rainy week. I used it almost all the time and always kept my under layers dry. I tried them on also without the under layers and felt comfortable as well in contact with skin. They allowed me any movement I needed to do during camping, hiking, and also sailing. They are very comfortable and looks really nice on me. I am 5'2'' and curved although my 110 lb, 27 1/2 waist and 38 1/2 hip, with regular inseam. Following the chart size I am an S, but as I already have another Columbia pants -snow pants, convertible pants- I know I am XS, so that's what I asked for and it fits perfect on me!! The only issue is that when arriving home I noticed that the bottom was a little scrapped and also got a small gash on one side. I could not believe that because I carefully avoided sitting down on surfaces that could damage the pant. I felt really disappointed when seeing that after the first use, specially because I loved the pant. I would like a harder fabric for the pant.

My pants fit perfectly, but the only thing was they were too long. I chose regular instead of the short length. I will probably return these and reorder in the short length.

Had to replace my other waterproof pants because they had sprung a leak and was very happy with how these pants keep the water out! I use them for biking to work in Portland and they've been great in pouring rain. I'm 5' 5" and I ordered an XS-- they fit well but are a little short, didn't exchange them for a S because I liked the fit around the waist and despite being short they still don't leak. Highly recommend them!

These pants are awesome! Keeps out the rain and the mud. The Velcro tightening/hemming feature on the bottom of the leg is ingenious, it's great for shorter heights. The only thing is these pants are not very breathable and lack pockets, other than that a great buy. Buy a size up so they are not so bulky when layering in the winter months.

Everything was perfect about these pants. The fit. The waterproof. Except I had to have them shortened about 3 inches, and I wanted to have the Velcro work to tighten the bottom around the foot, so I had to move one of the pieces of Velcro

Columbia buttered me up saying I am an intelligent and discerning shopper (and good looking, too) in requesting this review. Here ya go. I plan to use this pant for its intended purpose. It fits a little small in the seat, but that might be my personal problem. I like them.

Ordered large instead of medium, which is my usual trouser size, since I was looking for something to wear over trousers in the rain. Fit and quality is great, only pockets are missing.

Great pant and fit. Side pockets would have been a nice extra.

I haven't really tested these pants in the rain, but I think they will do the trick for tailgating and football games this fall. I bought a size bigger so that I could comfortably put them on over jeans in the event of a storm. There isn't any lining in them, so I like being able to wear them over something. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review is that I wish there were pockets. Other than that, great fit and functionality.

I bought these pants to wear over other clothes during the rainy season in Guatemala. They do their job, but in order to fit them over other pants I needed a large (a size larger than normal) they are therefore big in the waist but not so much that it really matters.

These pants just fit. There is no room for shorts or long johns underneath.

I have very mixed feelings about these rain pants. On one hand, you can't beat the price. On the other hand, the design is really weird. I can't imagine who wants bell-bottomed rain pants, but apparently Columbia thinks people do. The velcro on the ankle is ridiculously short and tightening it all the way still leaves the pants ridiculously wide-legged. This is not a helpful feature, especially if you plan to use them for bicycling. I'm really disappointed with this purchase and now I'll have to buy something else to solve the problem.

Pants were a bit bulky.

I typically wear a 14 so I ordered the XL. Fits great in the calves and thighs. VERY TIGHT in the hips/butt. It also is a little short in the rear. The waistband sat far lower than I'm comfortable with. Had to exchange for a 1X because I couldn't move my hips or sit down in the XL. Again, thighs and calves fit great, but order up if you have wide hips or a big booty.

My only complaint is that there is no zipper on the bottom of the pant so it is hard to get the pant over my shoes. Once on they are waterproof and comfortable.

I am typically a pants size 10. Seeing that these run small, I ordered a large. They are still very tight around the hips. I will be sending them back to get a size XL.

The pants are fine, but since they have openings at the bottom of the legs, they cannot be adjusted (hemmed) easily if you have short legs. It's nice to have them roomy, so you can wear over normal pants, but to get them big enough for that, they are several inches too long.

I like these, but a few cargo pockets would have been welcomed!
