Fabulous boots, but they run a bit narrow. I have average to slightly narrow feet, and these are too narrow, and I'm not sure I can break them in, so I'm going to return them. I have sensitive feet, or I'd try to break them in. They look terrific in the rougher brown color. Not too masculine looking and basically very comfortable. They have a high-ish toe box, which I like. Would recommend them for someone who has narrow feet. They also run a half size to a full size larger than normal in length. I usually wear 8-8.5, and in these I took a 7.5.

Nice chocolate brown. comfortable will be great with a pair of wool socks in the winter. Will look great with jeans.

These boots are cute but I ordered the size I usually order for Frye and these boots were so narrow and tight. I am not sure they could be stretched wider. Stranger still other reviewers wrote it is larger than expected. Now I am confused that a brand like Frye would be so variable in sizing.

Great boot! Great price! I purchased these in the fawn color. The color is unusual but surprisingly goes with practically everything in my closet. You will not be disappointed.

Love these boots! I usually don't buy the short boots, but this is my second pair, the other have more of a heel, and they're great. After a long day in knee high boots, my legs can get tired so getting the short boots solves that. These are extremely comfortable and wonderful quality. I would highly recommend them.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for. They have a great fit, the heel is just right, and they look great under jeans or over skinny jeans or leggings. The leather is of wonderful quality.

I read some reviews that these were half size bigger, so I went ahead and ordered half size smaller, and to my surprise they feel small. (I have a thin foot and still felt them tight.) I am going to return them and hope the new ones are not that big. Maybe the problem lies in the quality control.

Love the boots. I ordered a half size smaller and they were perfect. The soles are very slippery at first, in fact I had 1/2 soles put on them, since I broke my leg and am still on crutches and didn't want to change falling. You could probably just scuff up the soles.

I am extremely happy with the purchase of my Frye boots through Zappos! I initially tried to get these boots from Frye.com but they were out of stock and not going to be available until Fall 2011. I'd bought a previous pair of Frye boots and loved them so much I wanted another pair in a different style. Very happy with my purchase and service from Zappos!

These boots are fabulous! From another reviewer I read that the bordeaux color was a dark, rich red, not bright or flashy. I decided to try it, knowing the Frye quality is a given and also this color was on a great sale at the time (very rare). The color matches the picture and I find I wear them with many more things than I thought I would. Almost every day! They fit like a glove from the first try on and just get better with each wearing. Thank you Zappos. Great customer service. I'll be back.

These are fun to wear -- the color, the cut, the feel. I have both size 8 and 8.5 shoes so I wasn't sure these size 8 boots were going to work. They did! They were comfortable within 15 hours of wear, which doesn't always happen with new shoes. My one problem -- my high arches. Putting them on takes a little effort. Still, once on, they set my feet a dancin'.

Love these boots! Got them in cognac...nice rich warm brown color. Easy to get on with zip. Ordered my regular 6 1/2 size and there's a tiny bit of heel slippage but there usually is for me with boots. Fits fine on my med-wide foot. A little snug but I know they will stretch with wear. Best arch support of any Frye's I have (4 pairs now!).

I love these boots. They are my second pair of Frye boots, and they have not disappointed. I like the look of the flat heel under jeans, and they are super comfortable - and easy to get on and off. Just a great pair of boots.

Very beautiful boot! The bordeaux color is lovely. I have trouble finding comfortable shoes, and never thought I could wear boots, but these are comfortable enough to walk around in all day. This is my second pair of Frye boots and I am a fan. And of course, Zappos' service is great!

I absolutely love these boots. After much ado about which pair I would commit to purchasing, I finally decided to pull the trigger with the MB shorties. Not only are they the richest cognac color, they are quality. I love the pull strap with the button, the flat sole, and especially the side zip. If you are looking for an adorable shoe that you will get tons of compliments on, then this is your boot. It looks great with leggings, dresses, and there is enough room to tuck skinny jeans into the shaft. I do have some issues with the comfort of the boot...I had to be patient when breaking these in. I have a average-width foot, so there was a bit of an adjustment period. I have had the boots for about a month now, and I am able to wear them comfortably all day. The leather has begun to soften and the boot has taken shape around the contours of my feet. I wish there was a bit more support for the arches, but overall I am exceedingly pleased with these super trendy boots!

This boots are by far the best boots I have ever owned. I am very specific with shoes and have several foot problems including two ankle surgeries. The heel height is perfect. There is really no arch support, but there's room to put one in if you need it. Enjoy!

These boots are perfect! I have a narrow heel and ankle so finding cowboy-type boots that fit has been difficult for me. The zipper really helps these boots give a snug fit. The leather is soft and the sole is thick. The boots are great quality and worth the price.

These are beautiful but I had to return the first pair because the color of the leather wasn't consistent on one boot. My search for semi-dressy boots with a low heel is finally over! Unlike other reviewers, I don't find the instep too narrow or the toes too long and pointy. Based on the two pairs I now own, Frye seem to run a half size large.

Frye makes a top notch product. The boots are confortable and stylish. I highly recommend them.

Zappos is great; shipped quickly. The boot is very nice, and I was able to wear it most of the day after about 6 shorter wearings. However, for such an expensive boot, I didn't expect to have to pay to repair a flaw--so, I'm out the money for having a seam on the side of one boot stitched. Frye maybe needs some better quality control.

Love the look of this boot, but it was too narrow in the size that I ordered. I'll return and hope that a half-size up will work for me. Zappos service terrific, as always.

These boots run large, so they feel long and wide in my normal size 9. Also, they are wide at the opening and I cannot pull my skinny jeans over them.
