This boot is shockingly low quality. I barely wore them during the fall and winter, and the sole on one boot completely separated. Frye was entirely unhelpful, and I was left with a three hundred dollar leather paperweight.

Did not even try them on when I noticed they were not authentic Frye boots. Even ordered them twice. I called the company on the first pair, and they agreed with me since the boots did not have the cloth Frye tag sewn on the inside, or the Frye logo on the bottom of the sole, or the Frye inner sole where the writing should be in gold letters. (I have 3 other pairs of authentic Frye boots with one of them being this same style but a different color). The customer service department was extremely nice and sympathetic, and assured me they would send out me a different pair with all the Frye markings. Needless to say, the 2nd pair was a knock-off also. Very disappointed to find out Zappo's sells knock-offs.

"All-American...since 1863..." but boot is stamped, "Made in Mexico" Pair appears to be a 'second' with a poorly touched up spot, top dead center of boot. Also sole of shoe is so smooth and slick it makes walking in them impossible. Was also surprised at how loose they are in the leg. I have large calves and these boots were very loose and sloppy in that area. It is an attractive boot otherwise.
